Im probably one of the few here that is seriously considering NOT purchasing DA2. I adore DA1 to pieces. I tolerated the disappointment (to me) that was Awakenings. I've faithfully purchased all DLC's to support this game (even though I have not played the latest one, and feel little incentive to do so). I've waited out bugs (like the pickpocketing one), without a murmur.
I grant that the opinion stated by Mr. Gaider that Morrigan was the queen of the shut-out. That was who she was, and the role that she played. It was the inter-party mystery that kept the ball rolling. While other characters shared tidbits-Morrigan was always aloof. Even at the end, she gave nothing, and kept everything. (if you don't count the ring

)
This is why I find the decision to end DLC as a major blow. Either they were not as profitable as expected, or all resources have been re-routed to DA2. I agree with the above poster who stated that in customer service, it is wisest not to promise some service that is not delivered. If there was a promise for DLC for 2 years, then this was seriously a blow to many consumers that were investing in a long - term game with available new content.
From a personal perspective, I find it ironic that considering all the furor about not having promotions for the female hawk (ladyhawk

), that the only 2 character DLC's we received were for our sexy women. Again, catering to the male audience, and just carrying us girls along for the ride. Zevran, Sten, Alistair, Loghain were all terribly fascinating characters who really had much more to tell (and if a past scenario worked for Lei, why not Zev?). . . but they chose the two pretty ladies and major male love interests. (Yes, I know Lei swings both ways, but she was still guy-worthy).
Im not usually femi**** material, but really...this makes me wonder.
So, I will not be buying DA2 out of loyalty for a company that has treated me right. If I buy it at all, it will be the expectation of WYSIWYG.
