So is this a 100% brand new DLC then? We aren't just going to get reused locations from Origins/Awakenings?
I can see an Awakening location in the screenshot so I'm guessing no.
The blackmarsh, where you fight the spectral dragon?

If this is the last peace of DLC for DA1, does it mean that dev's that worked on DA1 DLC will be moved to ME project or they will continue with DA2?
I think they will continue DA2.

I half-agree. My first thought when I read about this DLC (it's been about five minutes, I just found out) was "Now I need to make a new character that romances Morrigan!" After a few moments, though, I thought "Now I need to make a new character that romances Morrigan..." By offering a payoff for Morrigan romances, there is just a greater gain for romancing her than anyone else.
I also agree that I would have liked a better send off to our Wardens. I really wanted to somehow experience our Warden's calling, though I suppose our characters would either have to age, be experiencing their callings early, or somehow not age for thirty years. Even if it was just another difficult dungeon a la GoA (which I know wouldn't please the pure role players, but I enjoy a challenge equally as much as role playing) I was greatly hoping for something like that.
That said, on my recent playthrough, I played a pragmatic female human warrior who coerced Alistair to perform the Dark Ritual, even though she was very wary of Morrigan (pragmatism dictates keeping the soon to be King and Queen alive, however). I think it makes perfect sense that even though there was no romance involved, she would definitely care about the god-baby that she had reluctantly given to Morrigan, and thus I look forward to finishing that DLC.
Most importantly, though, I look forward to this DLC because it's just good literature. Golems of Amgarrak, while a challenge, didn't really have a deep story. I would argue that any new storyline, no matter how great, pales in comparison to tying up these loose ends in your character's past, especially one revolving around intricate character development.
I agree on all points--I'm sorry if I'm not making that clear. I'm excited for this DLC, and yes it concerns my female Wardens, who thought of her as a sister (some of them). I have no way of knowing how this DLC plays out, so this is all conjecture anyway. All I'd like to see is that all of the Wardens get the same kind of closure that isn't wrapped up in a paragraph of epilogue.

Yes, Witch Hunt is the final DLC for Dragon Age: Origins, and imo a great send off to an awesome game.
What happened to "2 years..."? Dragon Age 2.
A lot of people keep bringing up the "But we were promised 2 years of DLC" thing. Eh...whatever. 2 years worth of DLC for a game I love is great, but I have a feeling we got 2 years worth of DLC (or close to it), just on a much more abbreviated timeline than Bioware originally planned. After all, we've gotten:
The Stone Prisoner (November, 2009)
Warden's Keep (November, 2009)
Return to Ostagar (January, 2010)
Feastday Gifts & Pranks (April, 2010)
Darkspawn Chronicles (May, 2010)
Leliana's Song (July, 2010)
Golems of Amgarrak (August, 2010)
Witch Hunt (September, 2010)
Also, don't forget that Dragon Age was originally supposed to be released in early 2009, as opposed to late 2009. Perhaps the two years thing hadn't taken into account the 6 month delay.
If Dragon Age had been released in early 2009 as originally planned, then gradually released a new DLC pack once every 2-4 months, the above list easily would've qualified as 2 years worth of DLC.
I just think with the 6 month delay on Origins release, combined with EA likely encouraging Bioware to release DA2 as soon as possible resulted in a much shorter "game life" than Bioware originally intended with Origins and its DLC.

That depends who you're talking to
I do think the Morrigan DLC is needed from a story perspective, but that has nothing to do with her being more "loved"...Personally, I'm looking forward to the revenge angle
It appears I'm doomed to wishing in vain for a Zevran DLC that took the player with him on an adventure with the Crows, pre-Origins.

Y'know, I believed that everything would come in time--stories with all the companions a la Warden's Keep, patches, background stories for the other companions besides Leliana.... Even a few weeks ago, they were saying that the DLC would continue. What they didn't say was that they would continue for about a month, rather than the year we expected and were promised. Of course, we were also told repeatedly that the warden's story was 'not yet over.' Huh, apparently it was.-Semper- wrote...

Boy, did I ever learn my lesson. I won't make that mistake again. And it's incredibly irritating when Chris Priestly comes right out and says the the reason they aren't doing another year of DLC is DA2. They really couldn't say F U in more ways than they have to people who preferred DA:O's style of RPG.

The only thing I worry about is that we won't have any Origins companions, but instead temporary and pointless GoA-like companions. Even though he may be king, at least Alistair should be there. Hell, in my play through, he's the damned father.
On the website we see three screenshots and three blank slots for new characters--one of them is already filled in. None of the people featured are past companions. Except maybe Dog.
I agree, if Alistair is a Grey Warden there's no reason for him not to be there. Being able to travel with your love interests one last time would be some mighty send-off, let me tell you.

Maybe that date which came inside Awakening is an expansion pack, to tease us back before DA2 comes out.JusticarDoom wrote...
the more i read back chris' highly annoying comment about the 2 years of dlc promise thing, the more i think hes winding us up. surely, even he can't have the immaturity to say something like that?? no..there is an expansion or something coming in the 6 month gap, ill bet my life on it..
if im wrong, my life is gone () but overall chris, i have lost a LOT of respect for BioWare
and maybe Morrigan's DLC is the last for a reason
