I am really disappointed and angry. Why does Bioware only support the male players? Why does it make only DLCs for the female LI?
Leliana is not a love interest in Leliana's Song. She is the lead character.
Of course, I know that. But at least it is a DLC for Leliana. I am sure there would be enough ideas to make such kind of DLC for Alistair or Zevran or the other companions as well. I really hoped for that since Bioware promised 2 years of DLCs.
I just don't understand why only male players get what they want. It is my opinion about that. Therefore I am really disappointed about Bioware.
Ah yeah, I understand what you mean. Though I am a male player, Alistair was my first Warden's closest friend, and I would have loved to see something more centered around him. Especially, since he was the character with your Warden the longest. I would also have liked Sten DLC. There is a lot they could have done with this game if they had stuck to a 2 year support plan. Actually, I wish they had gone with the Starcraft 2 approach, and planned out an even longer storyline over two expansions, so it would be DAO + Awakening + 2nd Expansion. Instead of doing DLC, I would have preferred adding the original DLC to Origins, and further fleshing out Awakening and the second expansion. The whole thing could then have been better integrated.
Yes, exactly. I think it would have been much better. But it seems Bioware is only concentrated on DA2 now.
Well, duh. The warden would disapear eventually to go on his/her calling. Sorry, but If you want BioWare to bring out a DLC where you and Alistair get married and have tons of babies, You will remain disapointed.
We are talking about happy endings with love interests
Not what it says at the end of Awakening.
Well, for me it belongs together. The ending with the LI and the epilogues.
And no, I never hoped for a DLC with the marriage or something like that. I hoped for some kind of DLC like Leliana's Song, for example. All the other companions had interesting stories, either.
Well, then I hope for you you will be satified with the ending of your Morrigan story. :-)

I'm actually expecting to be stabbed in the back again to tell the truth. lol
She runs off with another god baby of mine or something.

Yes, Witch Hunt is the final DLC for Dragon Age: Origins, and imo a great send off to an awesome game.
What happened to "2 years..."? Dragon Age 2.
A lot of people keep bringing up the "But we were promised 2 years of DLC" thing. Eh...whatever. 2 years worth of DLC for a game I love is great, but I have a feeling we got 2 years worth of DLC (or close to it), just on a much more abbreviated timeline than Bioware originally planned. After all, we've gotten:
The Stone Prisoner (November, 2009)
Warden's Keep (November, 2009)
Return to Ostagar (January, 2010)
Feastday Gifts & Pranks (April, 2010)
Darkspawn Chronicles (May, 2010)
Leliana's Song (July, 2010)
Golems of Amgarrak (August, 2010)
Witch Hunt (September, 2010)
Also, don't forget that Dragon Age was originally supposed to be released in early 2009, as opposed to late 2009. Perhaps the two years thing hadn't taken into account the 6 month delay.
If Dragon Age had been released in early 2009 as originally planned, then gradually released a new DLC pack once every 2-4 months, the above list easily would've qualified as 2 years worth of DLC.
I just think with the 6 month delay on Origins release, combined with EA likely encouraging Bioware to release DA2 as soon as possible resulted in a much shorter "game life" than Bioware originally intended with Origins and its DLC.
Sorry, but many of those really don't cut it as DLC. Only 3 expand the game, and only 2 of those were done with any care. RtO was a slapdash affair. I really don't count the opportunity to kill all your companions as a valuable addition and Golems is just a dungeon--easy enough for a modder to do. The first two DLC set the bar fairly high, and they haven't even tried to reach that again, except possibly with Leliana's Song, and that didn't have the companion interactions of the first two. That was okay when we still had a year of DLC coming, not every one had to be a gem, but now? It's not so good.
Your version or interpretation of what does or doesn't count as DLC doesn't really matter, though...its Bioware's which does in this case, since they were quantifying 2 years of DLC, not you. And despite disappointing attempts, re-hashes of old areas, etc, that doesn't NOT make it DLC. Nowhere in the definition of downloadable content does it say it has to be "completely new, unused, virgin environments".
And I personally have only been disappointed with Darkspawn Chronicles, and mainly only because it wasn't an expansion or continuation of the story I started in Origins (I hate alternate timeline tales). Granted, the dialogue and characterization needed work in some of the more recent DLCs, but I still enjoyed them and can't say they weren't worth the $5-$10 I might have spent on each. And Golems of Amgarrak's challenging Hard/Nightmare difficulty Achievement was a lot of fun to go after.

I actually sat there with mouth open for a whole minute when I saw the announcement. It is impossible to express how excited I am. I kind of want to scream and run around, is that weird?
Times like these, though, really make me wish the Warden was voiced, or could at least show some emotion other than mild shock.

Unless you hate her because she offered to sleep with your beloved Alistair. *sigh*
That's not that great of a reason. The only reason you would need to find Morrigan is because she has the OGB. The other poster was arguing that a DLC for Zevran wouldn't work, since you can kill him. Well, you can have next to nothing to do with Morrigan, either.
Also, I like how you make that assumption. That because I am expressing hesitance over this DLC being the final one and because I am a girl, I love Alistair, and that must mean I hate Morrigan for sleeping with "my beloved".
Nice.

Huh.
Well.
No offense, but we were promised two years of DLC for Origins. Not less than a year and then a sequel. I'm trying not to sound all self-righteous and entitled, but...well...I'm fairly sure that we were promised two years even after DA2 was announced.
We were, but this happened with ME1, so it does not surprise me. I'm just very happy that they actually did manage to do some sort of constant DLC system. Good for them.

What about killing her? That's why my Warden wants to find her. He considers even proposing the Dark Ritual to be a monstrous and unspeakable betrayal, for which Morrigan needs to meet her end. Death to all malificarum and all that.

Blast they did a ME1 with the DLC (the duration promise) and its less than a years worth of dlc that we get <_< (pretty good dlc at times though (wish they would do a christmas/x-mas type dlc or maybe a halloween type dlc to go with the feast day dlc))

Really? That's now how I'd think of it. I'd think you met this strange lady whose mother saved your life and who led you out of the Wilds. You didn't trust her, so you told her to go home. You see her again and she proves that you were right to distrust her, and you say you have no interest in her little ritual and she leaves, just a power hungry witch.
There's no reason to kill her, no reason to waste your time hunting her down--you could be a King or a Queen, and why kill Morrigan of all of the evil people in the world? You know next to nothing about her and you have little reason to care.
That's one scenario.
Another scenario is that you didn't kill Zevran--as many chose not to--and he is the love of your life and in danger from the Crows, whom you must defeat/take over to protect.
That's another.
My original point being that a Zevran DLC is not invalid. You can see that, right?

Yeah, Bioware lied, but who cares? This is a great DLC in that it is actually worth downloading (unlike most of the others ).
The reason it matters is that there are many who were much more interested in continuing DLC than in DA2. If one is happy with the dialogue wheel, and the other changes, then no, it doesn't matter all that much, but if the DLC was much more important, then this is a real slap in the face. And just once, I'd like them to make a happy annoucement without a follow up kick in the privates.

I'm not sure if I have the energy to repeat everything that I've been saying, which boils down to, I'm not upset, I'm not demanding more DLC, I would simply like to see closure for Wardens who did not romance Morrigan, since this is the last DLC. Morrimancers get closure and their own DLC, and I would simply like for other Wardens to feel the same sort of send-off in my favorite game of all time.
Not a whole new DLC for them, just the same sort of closure that is not a paragraph in an epilogue card.
