Why would those who kicked Morrigan out of their party and allowed Alistair/Loghain to sacrifice themselves go search for Morrigan?

Maybe someone who was going for Ultimate Sacrifice but had Warden Commander literally forced upon her might be interested in taking out her bitterness on a certain witch?  (One who shows up to make a certain offer on the eve of battle no matter how quickly you kick her out of the party.)

There is no way a Zevran DLC makes more sense then this DLC. No matter how much you try to reason it out, it doesn't work. Purely just because Zevran can die, Morrigan can not... Period.

I think you're not seeing the point, which is Morrimancers get closure and their own DLC, but Zevran lovers do not.

You also can kick Alistair out of your party, the last child of Theirin, and you have plenty of reason to seek him out. But no one is asking for a Drunken Alistair Search DLC. People would like the same treatment across the board. Me, I'm not even asking for a DLC just for Zev or just for Alistair. Just a cutscene, a conversation. Just one cutscene at the end of the game for closure.

That's it.

I agree. Give us something more than a possible Antivan showdown or we just disappear. Zevran was such a rich character and the story just fell flat after the Archdemon. They did not even think to release the love letters until this last patch (which had already been done through mods on the PC). Something to better end the story they wrote so well that so many got attached to.

Ha.

See, this is why we should never tell you guys anything-- plans change all the time, but you take them as instant promises.

Mind you, then you'd complain about us not involving the community enough and telling you more.

Go with the "do"

I'd like you to announce every game as early as you did with Dragon Age.  Those 5 years of development were tons of fun.

Well, I am disappointed that there will be no more DAO content in the future, certainly, but hey - just because they have said there won't be doesn't actually mean that there won't be, amirite? LOL

I'm sorry, but even for those who became one of the lovers of Zevran... you got closer. I haven't experienced it myself, but I hear the Epilogues talking about how you reunited with Zevran in Antiva, and took over the Crows... That sure sounds like closure to me. Morrigan on the other hand, no closure... not at all... Completely left open, which is why this is the last.

Or a bit more transparency in communicating when the plan changes from what was originally stated?

I think you guys sort of learned that lesson with the DLC announcements though- no more vague Return to Ostagar announcments and delays- only announcing DLC like Leliana's Song or Golems of Amgarrak or now Witch Hunt 2 weeks prior to launch?

And Claudia Black did voice Morrigan for this DLC, right?=]

David! Tell everybody at BioWare thanks for this DLC. Me and my buddies have been waiting for some Morrigan closure for a while now.

I hope you put hours of blood, sweat and tears into this! Posted Image

I have to agree with STM here.  The years leading up to the release of DA:O were a lot of fun even while they chafed.  I don't know that that sort of environment will ever be reproduced in this community, but it was fun.

My original point was that the other romances at least got to talk to their romances after the final battle. You got some wrap-up. Maybe you want more, sure... more more more. Why not? But Morrigan fans didn't get anything.

And, incidentally, this isn't the "Morrigan romance DLC" you're perhaps picturing. Morrigan's mystery affects all the Wardens in a way-- some certainly more personally pertinent than others. Regardless, this is a way to wrap things up.

Could we have done other party-focused stories? Sure, tons. I love Zevran, so why not? There's a million things we could do, but we're stopping the Origins train here with this particular tale-- and I think it's an appropriate place to end, myself, considering all that Morrigan represents.

Morrigan is too big for just a crappy DLC story.

I have to agree - having a showdown in Antiva or just gone is not my idea of closure for those in a romance with Zevran. In fact, it's the opposite of "closure."

i can't believe that you did not know that there simply would not be enough time and money to support your game and the community while developing dlc and a sequel. you should fire your financial adviser.

Why does it have to be crappy? Overlord for ME2 was better than half the stuff in the main game, so clearly DLC does not equal crap.

I thought Morrigan's story was too good just for a DLC.

We could still see her again in the future.

So David Gaiden, are you saying that you believe Witch Hunt to live up to its reputation? Even to an extend more then other DLC have in the past? Your personal opinion that is?

Yes the rest of you wont get a DLC about Zevran, Leliana or Alistair. You all got some kind of closure at the end of Origins, which the people who romanced Morrigan didnt.

Your lucky BioWare didnt decide to make DA2 about Morrigan, Flemeth and the god baby. Which they could of easily done. Be thankful its just a DLC if you hate her so much.

AND BEFORE YOU START RANTING. BioWare could of made the god baby a canon for DA2, even if you refused the DR.

Did you miss the part in the very post you quoted where I said Morrigan was like a sister to my female Warden? Evidently. You also missed the part where I'm happy to have this DLC.

In any case, it depends on your definition of closure. The end of DAO was not closure--it said right there, the adventures would continue. Alistair would only travel with you "for a time". Zevran, "for a time". Leliana, "for a time". At the end of Awakening you are supposed to up and mysteriously vanish. This DLC will probably tell you why, but the thing is, that's not really closure. There are still things hanging.

We would like a send-off, nothing more. Just a cutscene at the end of the game of you traveling off to wherever with your love interest, or leaving them behind, or saying good-bye to Oghren or something, who knows. Just something worthy of a Warden who did not romance Morrigan; something that feels just as satisfying, that we are saying good-bye to this character and it doesn't feel cheapened or lessened because you feel left out of the loop.

Also, and I said this earlier, if you play DAO after this DLC comes out, there is no "loose ends" to be tied up. You know what happens with Morrigan and your Warden. You know there is closure. You get your own entire DLC for it. You will get it. Many of us won't feel the same.

Again, I'm not angry, or bitter, or betrayed, I'm just hesitant.

Even if you didn't have the DR ending this DLC is something your traveling warden would go investigate. I mean for a dwarf writes your warden and you head off into the bowels of the earth in the last DLC. Wouldn't it stand to reason your old LI/ mysterious companion is seen after missing for a year you might want to check into it? I think this DLC will wrap up lots of stuff for a lot of people. But hey, if it's good and they do end up comign out with some other old companion DLC I'll buy that too :D
