I'm a little concerned that something of this caliber is coming out a few short weeks after it is announced. Hopefully, it has a year or so of work behind it. I'm also a little concerned that such a huge non-canon event is DLC.
I am sure they have been working on it before it was announced, but I a year seems like a lot for a DLC, though I may be wrong, since we don't really know the timetable for these things.
What do you mean by a "huge non-cannon" event? I don't think this DLC will depend on the Dark Ritual.

non-canon? If it's in the game, DLC or not, how is it non-canon?Bryy_Miller wrote...

I mean.. If your Warden decided not to do the DR, then yeah, it's not exactly Canon for your Warden-- but it isn't fanon, either.

By non-canon, I meant that I didn't think we'd be getting anything in DLC directly related to prior choices. But it looks like this is pre-DA2 DLC, just like Shadowbroker seems to be pre-ME3 (still waiting on official word for that, though). Also: there's a Strider in the screenshots. Giddy.

A couple thoughts:
When people said they wanted 'closure' for the Warden before playing Hawke, Morrigan was one of the main cited examples. So it is pretty clear that Bioware knew what they were doing, and had that in mind when they made their decisions.
This says it is the "conclusion" to the Origins storyline. What does that mean? Does it mean the last story for the Warden, or does it mean the last Origins DLC? If the latter, there could be other, side story DLC's like DSC and Leliana's Song. Personally I hope it is not the last DLC, but they might want to wrap up content before getting the Ultimate edition out. I'm hoping though that conclusion just means end of Warden's saga, and that some other DLC will still be available.
Well, if you read the page carefully, instead of saying "THE epic conclusion" or whatever it says "THIS epic conclusion." So, it's going to be one possible outcome of the myriad set of possibilites we established at the end of Origins. Pretty cool! And we still have over 6 months before DA2 comes out, so I'm sure there will be more DLC (and oh, pretty please, I really hope another expansion pack!) before March.
Also, nice timing on the whole Awakening thing. Our wardens would have just finished with Awakening events in time to hunt down our friendly witch of the wilds.

Firstly, my curiosity will be put to rest in knowing what happens. Even if my character didn't romance her and stayed with Leliana at the end, I STILL want to see how this turns out.
On the other hand... this is gonna be my last adventure with my Grey Warden... *sad panda*
In any event, and whatever happens at the *END* ... Thank you BioWare
