Doubt they would put the effort into patching a game they are pretty much finished with.

When they were still BioWare, the independent company rather than the in-house studio, they continued patching NWN1/SoU/HotU well after HotU was released with the money they brought in via the premium modules.  What they're going to do now is of significant interest to those of us who were less than thrilled about them becoming EAWare.

Is "Witch Hunt" the ABSOLUTE LAST we'll see of the Warden, or will the Warden appear in a sequel, such as DA3 or another?

Ohhh I would really like to know this also!

Awakening felt a bit disconnected from DAO, due to the lack of familiar characters.  It would be nice to have the Warden back at some point for it all to feel connected.

Ok, after checking the info about this new DLC, I'm really happy that we can find Morrigan and get some answers from her, and possibly get more than that for Wardens who romanced her. I will probably buy this DLC soon, though probably not on the day of release.

I'm also fine with it being the last Dragon Age: Origins DLC. I'm sure given DA2, Star Wars: TOR, and Mass Effect 3, resources are spread thin as it is.

However, I do have a question I think needs to be clarified, and is important for players who are expecting Warden/Morrigan involvement in future SEQUELS. And I need a dev to answer this, be it Chris, David, Mike, or anyone else on the DA team, as I want official word, rather than speculation. My question is this:

Is "Witch Hunt" the ABSOLUTE LAST we'll see of the Warden, or will the Warden appear in a sequel, such as DA3 or another?

I really just want to know so I can continue hoping for a Warden return in future DA titles or if I have to be content knowing for sure that the Warden's story really ENDED with the only full game the Warden appeared in, DAO...

This, pl0x

While it's a shame, I can understand why Bioware want to stop making DLC for Origins, I'm sure with their improvements to the games system in DA2 they'd much rather prefer to make better quality DLC for DA2.

As some have posted above though, I hope that this isn't necessarily the last we will hear of our Wardens, and perhaps there will be a return of them in future titles, as well as returning characters. Still, I am glad that Flemeth returns in DA2 for now, she is my favourite NPC :P

I'm happy we'll be able to learn what happened with Morrigan; but, I do wish this would have been an expansion size adventure such as Awakenings. I don't think a few hours of play would do this storyline justice. It should have been a grand adventure to find her. She should have lead the Warden/Alistair/Loghain on a merry chase, to bad this won't happen.

Hmmm, what happened with two years worth of dlc for DA?

If you did the DR with Alistair as a female player will Alistair be in this dlc? Will the developers please give feedback on this?

Well Bioware and EA, I think you guys shot yourself in the foot and had a gold mine here, not making this an expanison, to bad for you guys.

I was hoping for dlc with: Zevran, Shale, Wynne, Sten, and of course Alistair, and even our war hound having his own adventure in Highever would have been awesome.

I would love to see another expansion before DA2.

As for where Morrigan went. I always got the impression she was around Haven or the Urn of Sacred Ashes Temple. From the screen shots this is where I think she has been.

Also if a player did the US, then all Morrigan had to do was go to Orlais and find a warden there for her purpose. Just sayin'.

I hate to be cynical, but I suppose this means we can no longer believe a word BW says.  Apologies to Chris as he is just the messanger.

Ha.

See, this is why we should never tell you guys anything-- plans change all the time, but you take them as instant promises.

Mind you, then you'd complain about us not involving the community enough and telling you more.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't. Posted Image

I may be crabby about how DA2 is looking to me.  I may end up not buying a PC BioWare game (let alone not get the CE - that alone makes me sad)...
but whether the game ends up being for me or not, I'd rather know ahead of time.  I'd rather you told me stuff even if I don't like to hear it.

So, please, do tell. :wizard:

Just a question. Is all additional content originally planned for DA out after this? I hope so, considering a DLC was a What If (though as Alan Moore said...) and another a flashback.

Whoa, this is the first DLC that I'll actually get and play when it's out. I can't wait to find out about Morrigan's plans - in my opinion a Morrigan DLC is the only way you can give Origins a true conclusion.

But there's one thing I really worry about: will I get to play the rest of the Origins party in Witch Hunt as well? I swa some rather random looking mages on the screenshots, but will Zevran, Wynne and company be back?

Yep I hear that.....now the impossible problem is which one to play first? I am at a major disadvantage. I just cannot seem to decide.

Morrigan is likely an ending, Liara will continue in ME3. But if they go out at same time I´ll probably flip a coin.

Two systems running simultaneously, side by side and and egg timer set to five minutes between them so you don't actually have to choose.:D

I'm sure it has been answered somewhere, but is this DLC phased into the main quest or another standalone module like the last few have been w/ character import?

So...

If this is REALLY the last we're going to get for Origins...

That little date that came inside Awakening's box. What the heck is it?

No issues with XBL.....plus XBL releases 5 to 7 hours before the PC anyway so if you want first dibs I highly suggest changing platform. You still have allmost 2 weeks to create a new character and get it to amazing high levels of skill and equip him/her with the best gear available so it's ready to go for September 7. Not to mention that this will apply to the Liara DLC on that same day. If I knew I'd have to wait 5-7 hours after a lot of other players before I can hope to start downloading on a server that can and often is all too easily overwhelmed I'd be in panic, shock and tears right about now.

I agree. Give us something more than a possible Antivan showdown or we just disappear. Zevran was such a rich character and the story just fell flat after the Archdemon. They did not even think to release the love letters until this last patch (which had already been done through mods on the PC). Something to better end the story they wrote so well that so many got attached to.

My original point was that the other romances at least got to talk to their romances after the final battle. You got some wrap-up. Maybe you want more, sure... more more more. Why not? But Morrigan fans didn't get anything.

And, incidentally, this isn't the "Morrigan romance DLC" you're perhaps picturing. Morrigan's mystery affects all the Wardens in a way-- some certainly more personally pertinent than others. Regardless, this is a way to wrap things up.

Could we have done other party-focused stories? Sure, tons. I love Zevran, so why not? There's a million things we could do, but we're stopping the Origins train here with this particular tale-- and I think it's an appropriate place to end, myself, considering all that Morrigan represents.

Epic finale battle please lol. If this is the last dlc for Origins. I wonder whats coming in Feb I think It was. Chris said It was still something I think.
