The WARDEN, Lord Gaider! WHAT ABOUT THE WARDEN??!!! (shakes you like a madman)
Still though, nice to know Morrigans story might not be completely over.

Yeah, what about the Warden? :crying:

As I asked in my last post, is this the last we'll hear about the Warden?

Some want to know that our Warden will have a presence in future sequels. Others are uncomfortable with Morrigan being a romance option for Hawke or future player characters as they want her to be with the Warden (myself included)

Gaider, thank you for reassuring us that Morrigan will not be jipped in any fashion, but PLEASE... tell us if "Witch Hunt" is the LAST adventure we'll ever play as the Warden... please, we need to know, and we beg you for confirmation of future sequel Warden appearance or no! :crying:

i would think it is obvious that after tis DLC there will be no more warden (sadly enough)
This DLC is not only Morrigans but in away also a goodbye to the warden

who said  Morrigan would be romancable in DA2 i do not expect her to be
at best she can become a party member and worst case scenario is that she wont be in DA2  at all
but i expect her to show up at some point during DA2 but not as a LI :D

Perhaps you are correct but the point is I feel there should be official word on the fate of the Warden after "Witch Hunt" so those who are hoping for a future appearance can either be happy and hope for more appearances or have their hopes put to rest and contented.

I, as well as those who agree with me, only need a Developer's answer, even a simple "yes" or "no" for whether the Warden will appear in a future sequel or not.

Also the comment on supposed Morrigan Romance in DA2 is based on fears I've seen in the threads of others who initially complained about DA2, and I was just addressing it is all as part of my overall question.

I've just checked my main level 32 character who romanced Morrigan and did the DR - by the end of GoA (after Awakening) he's still wearing her ring! I wonder if it'll come up in dialogue...

Hmmm, I wonder If I have mine.

It would be so awesome if the Ring came up. My City Elf that romanced Morrigan still wears it in Awakening, and he treats it like a friggin Wedding Ring: IT AIN'T COMIN OFF!! He'll be wearing it after Awakening :D

Despite my questions about what this DLC means as far as the future of the Warden or Morrigan, I can't wait to hear the dialogue in it.

Same with my Warden, after Awakening Harvester tried to bite the index finger with the ring off, but failed:D

I won't be surprised if ring will be mentioned. In GoA, if you sided with Branka and she's making golems for Orzammar you can mention it and hear Jerrik's opinion on Branka.

Is Claudia confirmed for the DLC? While I will still buy it, it would be disappointing to not have her back.

No, but I'd hope BioWare had the sense to think it would be blasphemy to have a Morrigan DLC and no Claudia Black voicing her. Still, confirmation would be nice....

for the same reason i expect no one else than Claudia  for morrigan
and because i am convinced that Morrigan will show up at some point during DA2
since it would be weird to have someone else do her voice in DA2

Being a bit presumptuous? As we don't know what is going to happen. Says on the site that this DLC will tie up any loose ends so for all we know this child didn't happen or Morrigan couldn't control it so the Warden will be putting the thing down or even Morrigan.

on the warden  , at least i expect it to be somekind of goodbye for the warden since this is supposed to be the last DLC for DA:O

about Morrigan well.... it would be incrediby Stupid from BioWare if they would make her Romancable in DA2
since they would ****** off a lot of fans if she suddenly is with this Hawke (myself included)
i do not believe she will be a LI as i said before

but i am not a Dev just speculating here

See? This is your problem. If you were more sincere, transparent and clear maybe you won't have these problems...

You (Bioware staff in general, I mean) are the first who provoke but you really don't confirm anything. Come on! Can you not say in a clear way if the story is over or not? Don't you know?

I don't really care, but this is exactly why you have these problems. If you knew that there will not be 2 years of contens, tell it and not exactly when you announce a DLC to boycott yourself.

Sometimes you are not clear and sometimes you just enjoy ignoring people questions. And there no reason why you can not answer "I'm sorry we can not inform you about that yet".

You don't want people ask, don't want people complain, don't want people demand.... Well, I don't like you don't answer, you don't inform, you just ignore some things.

This thread is a proof you have a marketing problem... Most of the DA2 post show it... Maybe it's true that we are gonna complain whatever you do but this is a problem you should face and maybe you should think again how to do it.

If you should say months ago that there will be just 3 or 4 DLC more, now you have just happy Morrigan loverr' post... Even more if the last DLC would be Golems' one and not this...

By the way... Are one of you answer to some of us if character from Golems' DLC can be import?

Sorry for the offtopic and for my english...

Edit: Sorry, the first quote was wrong

Sadly, I have same problem...If the situation will get really bad, I'll have to delete Origins saves and leave only Awakening ones (since they're a direct continuation).

I agree. Give us something more than a possible Antivan showdown or we just disappear. Zevran was such a rich character and the story just fell flat after the Archdemon. They did not even think to release the love letters until this last patch (which had already been done through mods on the PC). Something to better end the story they wrote so well that so many got attached to.

My original point was that the other romances at least got to talk to their romances after the final battle. You got some wrap-up. Maybe you want more, sure... more more more. Why not? But Morrigan fans didn't get anything.

And, incidentally, this isn't the "Morrigan romance DLC" you're perhaps picturing. Morrigan's mystery affects all the Wardens in a way-- some certainly more personally pertinent than others. Regardless, this is a way to wrap things up.

Could we have done other party-focused stories? Sure, tons. I love Zevran, so why not? There's a million things we could do, but we're stopping the Origins train here with this particular tale-- and I think it's an appropriate place to end, myself, considering all that Morrigan represents.

So I've had a few hours to digest this news...

I am very excited about this DLC, getting to go on another adventure with my Warden and find out what actually happens with Morrigan. I think this will be a great addition to the DA universe... unless, of course, this DLC will be of the same quality as the last 4 we were presented with, rather tacked on to this magnificent world as an afterthought.  We shall soon find out but I do have great hopes for this DLC. For some reason, it has that feeling of... coming home after a long and arduous journey.

Of course, the aspect that rilly is sticking a knife in my heart is that this is THE END of Origins... of my Warden... the end of all the wondrous possibilities... the end of hope. And it has come about rather abruptly.

David, there is still so much of the story to be told. I'm trying very hard to understand this sudden turn of events... but I'm having somewhat of a difficult time, with the rug pulled out from under me.

I almost get this sense that as soon as it was humanly possible, the entire DA team simply abandoned the game (with some ways to go on the adventure) and as one threw themselves into DA2, focussing their whole, undivided attention there.  It feels like the DA team has quit the adventure and the players that have been their companions on the road thus far, and focussed as one on the next big and flashier thing and, thus, focussed their energy solely on gathering new players to DA2. Are you really trying to make me hate DA2?

For some reason, it seems that the ME team holds a lot more love for their game than the DA team does for theirs. Is that it? The ME2 DLC has been truly fantastic, you can actually see how much care, love and energy went into content such as Cerberus Network, Kasumi, Overlord and now Lair is proving yet another well rounded and thought-out DLC. They have take a little bit longer to release, but that is actually a good thing, providing more time for the development process... and you can see how the product has benefited from that. With the last 4 DA DLCs... the energy eminating from the product was only half of what it could have been... based on the first 3 DA DLCs...

*sigh* I don't understand any of it. This true realization of what it actually means for this DLC to be THE END has been a rather black cloud to an already bleak day. I shall take all of the hopes, the dreams, the wondrous possibilities, my connection to Zevran, Sten, Shale, Loghain... and be depressed now. :crying:

Thank the Maker I do not have any chocolates in the house. Otherwise, I would have trouble fitting into my clothes tomorrow.

*proceeds to soak David's shirt with tears that simply will not stop... the sadness of the lost possibilites is so great*

No, David Gaider has hinted that Morrigan's story won't be over with the DLC, just Origins. Which means that they won't use that graphic style, or gameplay style again. The warden will also be gone forever, almost certainly, since people would dislike having a voice attached to the character that isn't what they envisioned, and Bioware is married to their new style, ditching the old even after assuring us that we'd get another year of DLC. I'm guessing that some characters will appear again--probably Morrigan, but not the warden. Of course, even if they were to say that something would or would not happen in future, we'd be fools to believe it--the same goes for epilogues hinting at new stories to come.

When I found this out I was, well suprised... After Awakening there was really nothing Bioware could throw in the way of DLC that would interest me.

Darkspawn Chronicles? Try Harder.

Leliana's Song? Nope, not even close.

Golem of Amgarrack? Yah right.

Witch Hunt? Holy crap I want that!

I am just going to hope they dont mess this up, I really cant afford to be throwing around $7 if all I get is garbage. Please Bioware, make this good.

Agreed totaly but considering the 2 years of DLC that was said before i believe it was not originally planned this way but EA pushed then into making DA2 ahead of time  and that is why they now wrap up DA:O
and i think DA2 demands the full attention of the whole team to a)make it as good as possible and.B) make the deadline of march 2011

This is definitely the way to go with the last DLC. I figured they'd end it sometime soon since DA2 comes out in March, but I wasn't expecting them to actually answer what happened to Morrigan.
