We endured a month of complete silence after the announcement of LotSB for an update that the release date is 2 weeks away. Then Bioware announces this awesome DLC, which will be released the same day.

I must echo the others, though...my Warden hasn't taken the ring off (aside from when they stole his gear in Awakening), and I really really hope there's mention of it. When I surrendered to Ser Cauthrien in DAO, and Morrigan's like "Uh, I know where they are. There's this ring..." I thought that was just about the greatest thing ever. That would have been such an easy thing to overlook, and yet, you didn't.
Haha- same here. Even if stat wise its nothing special, my Cousland kept it on the whole time, minus when that punkass Architect stole it.
But I hope its little bits like the ring and that sort of attention to detail they make note of in this DLC. Really, its the sort of attention to detail that has been lacking ever since Origins came out.
I believe most m!Wardens raged through the Silverite mines when all the gear including the ring got snatched away.
"NO. NO. WHERE'S THE RING?!?!?! *Cuts through the enemies*"
Ah. Such emotional attachment. (Good job, Bioware. xD )

If tears sustain the writers, then un-manly Squee-ing must at least be a decent appetizer. Or maybe it's more of an "icing on the cake" thing.

You know, to feed the writer's tear quota, I'll guess this DLC will end with a glorious happy ending only to have it all be a dream, with the Warden trapped in the Fade by a Desire Demon, blissfully unaware of his eternal entrapment. Good enough for the tear quota, Gaider?
What are you doing! Don't give them any ideas! Banish that vile thought! Banish! BANISH!
What's really funny is that this idea did come up in the writer's pit. Then we laughed and laughed and laughed.
And then we said, "Okay, no, seriously..."

Yep. Now onto my next fear: Morrigan, realizing she still has work to do in the DA universe, kills the Warden. Then I'd be like "NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!"
Let's hope for a positive ending!

I can take that as that I'll have to find the answer myself when I play "Witch Hunt", as answering now may spoil this anticipated DLC....
*crosses fingers, talks to self* please, please don't let this be the Warden's final story...

But, like a novel, I guess the writers must be sincere with themselves first. If they think that the story must follow some path, they MUST write it that way. Sometimes we finish reading a book and think "mate, I would prefer if things were different", but we are not the ones writing it. Of course people will not always agree with the end their beloved characters
have. But I think that Bioware has been doing a great work so far. I love this game and its story. In my opinion, the writers must be sincere with themselves only and do what it feels right for them. I wanna see how this epic narrative will look like in the near future.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
But it would be awesome if they made DLCs (like Leliana's Song) for the other companions like Oghren, Shale, Wynne, Sten, Zevran and even Duncan. And a DLC that occurs in Morrigan's past would be sweet!
Like I said: I love this game.

Yes...There was plenty of opportunity, and still no answer.
And no answer for my question about the date in Awakening box as well.
Guess we'll have to wait and hope for something epic.

Well, i gotta say i always had the habit of playing the righteous guy in this kind of games, and i planned to play DA:O the same way but that Morrigan is pretty convincing, so i went a bit evil xD. Couldnt put myself to kill Wynne thoughUberDuber wrote...

My favorite team being Alistair/Morrigan/Wynne, i had Alistair and her hating at each other, while Wynne was peacemaking (and me laughing hard at them:wizard:, i told you I'm sick
I was kind of disappointed though when i had to fight last boss without her <_<, messed up all my strategy

OH GOD!!! I KNOW!!! The anticipation is killing me, as well as the feeling of being in the dark as far as Bioware's plans for the Warden. Of course this isn't surprising as it involves my favorite character in DAO and one of my favorite LIs of all time.
At least someone understands where I'm coming from. Thanks for having my back in terms of the questions/arguments on this subject

My guess would be that there was a reason she told you to never follow her. (and the baby for DS characters) Maybe something terrible can happen when the the soul you let go free and yours are close together again?

I just remembered that from a post I made back after Origins came out in this thread, figuring I gave you terrible GOTCHA! moment material:

I would guess that if you romanced Morrigan, did the ritual, and vowed to search for her, then the PC would spend a long time searching for Morrigan and once he eventually finds her she would be absolutely enraged at the PC for coming after her (for whatever reason). They exchange words and eventually come to blows- an all out fight, all the while shouting at each other as they totally expend all their energy fighting each other. Pretty soon though they realize they are just totally spent emotionally and physically and come to a draw. The PC and Morrigan proceed to have wild crazy witch sex right on the spot. Mark it down, thats your reunion right there.
And then the camera pulls back and you see you're in the Fade, and Morrigan is actually a Desire Demon. The player, oblivious, is forever trapped.
Yes, that might work.

Dont get your hopes up. Chris just said there not planning a second expansion, and that this is the last DLC for Origins. At least it goes out with a bang
That date inside Awakening is probably that damn DA movie...
