(sigh) still no response from any devs on my original question, and there was plenty of opportunity to do so....

I can take that as that I'll have to find the answer myself when I play "Witch Hunt", as answering now may spoil this anticipated DLC....

*crosses fingers, talks to self* please, please don't let this be the Warden's final story...

Yes...There was plenty of opportunity, and still no answer.
And no answer for my question about the date in Awakening box as well.
Guess we'll have to wait and hope for something epic.

OH GOD!!! I KNOW!!! The anticipation is killing me, as well as the feeling of being in the dark as far as Bioware's plans for the Warden. Of course this isn't surprising as it involves my favorite character in DAO and one of my favorite LIs of all time.

At least someone understands where I'm coming from. Thanks for having my back in terms of the questions/arguments on this subject :D

You're most welcome
I was curious as well, you know, Morrigan is also my favorite LI of Dragon Age, and of course, I was worried about the fate of the Warden, wether it's a happy or sad ending, I certainly hope that our guy ends his story with a BLAST together with his beloved "witch gone wild".

Well, I was happy about WHAT the dlc is, but once I saw that it's the final one, I have lost all urge to play DA anymore. You'd think they'd want to keep us in the DA universe. So for those of us who are sort of on the fence about DA2, we are gonna move onto other games, which may mean I am going to spend my money elsewhere before I spend it on DA2 next year. Wow you should have at least waited to release this until closer to DA2's release, imo of course.

I agree, I'am  greatful for what they are giving us but not for what they are going to take way.  I also know that this will my last ride.........it's sad, but I can't see myself as playing Hawke, I just can't. I have tried to look at what might be good about it but this is the end of what is good about DA, the fallway of good characters. I love the Warden and so  as it is his end it will be mine aswell, thanks for letting me be apart of it, it was fun while it lasted.  The Warden forever, Thank you  to our great Grey Warden.  I know DA is about  the Land but I  loved the charcters, could have cared less about the land. Thanks for the ride.

Dont get your hopes up. Chris just said there not planning a second expansion, and that this is the last DLC for Origins. At least it goes out with a bang Image IPB well I'm hoping it does anyway.

That date inside Awakening is probably that damn DA movie...Image IPB

Oh dear...
I'm waiting for the movie, but I was hoping for a second expansion or something like that

I know what you mean bro, Morrigan has a way with us.

She pretty much persuaded or intimidated me through the whole game...side with the templars, kill wynne and Flemeth....Shiz I even joined the dragon cult for her. lol Image IPB

Well, i gotta say i always had the habit of playing the righteous guy in this kind of games, and i planned to play DA:O the same way but that Morrigan is pretty convincing, so i went a bit evil xD. Couldnt put myself to kill Wynne though =] (i needed an healer so i could go berserk whith Dual swords on the darkspawn xD, but let's say Morrigan forgot it with some shiny presents  ^_^

My favorite team being Alistair/Morrigan/Wynne, i had Alistair and her hating at each other, while Wynne was peacemaking (and me laughing hard at them:wizard:, i told you I'm sick :D)

I was kind of disappointed though when i had to fight last boss without her <_<, messed up all my strategy :pinched:

I had a very similar experience playing DAO the first time. My City Elf (my avatar) I tried to roleplay as completely righteous, but DAMN Morrigan got under my skin, and I LOVED it. Think of the song "A Touch of Evil" by Judas Priest. It was like that. Before you know it, I was doing some dastardly things such as killing Flemeth in cold blood without hearing her out, letting Isolde sacrifice herself to save Connor, among a few other things.

Where was one able to join the Dragon Cult? I don't remember that anywhere in the game, though if that option existed in the game, I definately would have done it. Hell I was planning on writing a fanfic where my City Elf gets more and more corrupted while searching for Morrigan until he agrees to leave the Wardens behind and join the Dragon Cult and Morrigan.

Since this was my first playthrough, I roleplayed and made decisions as if I were actually in the game making them, so in a sense, Morrigan corrupted ME

It'll be interesting to see how they handle the ultimate sacrifice ending.. I'm sure that is going to come up in this thread. heh.

I'm actually a little worried. I played through the game and made the decision to have Allistair and Morrigan... anyway, I replayed through an older save because I decided to tweak the story by having Allistair marry the queen but it seemed as if, despite repeating the decision with Morrigan, I earned the ultimate sacrifice ending based on the achivements even though my Warden DID survive and went through the celebration ending. This warden I used for Awakenings and the Golems: I hope that the decision to cheat death carries through: I want to see the consequences of her deal with the devil.

My warden was pretty heroic but I can also see her making that decision. Tears in her eyes, I could see her telling Allistair: "you have to live to lead our country and if Riordan can't deliver the blow... Allistair I want to live if I can. I want to see nineteen!"

It's one thing to die in battle but to knowingly sacrifice yourself after giving so much already... that's hard. I could see her wanting to live and enjoy what life she had, especially in the arms of Leliana.

You're not alone in this dept. Unfortunately theres still no word on our Warden and likely there won't be for the time being... :(. We can at least be happy for some more content with Morrigan...

No and there won't be.

If you want to know what happens in Witch Hunt, play Witch Hunt.

If you mean what happens to DA:O after Witch Hunt, it ends. There is no more warden adventures or any adventures in Dragon Age: Origins after Witch Hunt.

If you want to know will your warden character ever appear in DA2, DA3, DA7, DA103, etc, you will have to wait and see.

Hmmm...it was predictable, since it's the last DLC for Origins.
BUT...
Knowing that the Warden may appear in DA2, DA3, DA7 or DA103 lits a little fire of hope in my heart.
Thank you for answering, cannot wait for WH.

DAMN YOU CHRIS!!!!!! Lmao you just have to continue teasing us, don't you?

Well I want to say that I'm finally glad someone in the dev team recognized that overall question, and even if its an indirect, vague answer, it is still an answer I can accept, so sincerely, thank you very much for the answer. So we'll have to wait until well after Dragon Age 2 to find out if we'll ever see our Wardens again.

And now begins the hopeless praying to the maker for him to make it so.... *goes off into a corner and prays for future Warden involvement in a few years from now*

Honestly I'm ok with this being the last DLC. All great things must come to an end. But that's what I want ... an end. None of this "hey they disappear" - that's not an end. Say they lived happily ever after or not so happily ever after - until their calling where they went off to the Deep Roads and died. Say they had many more adventures and then retired until their calling. Those are ends and the "many more adventures" makes room for the warden to be in other DA sequels. But at least things like that would be an actual end. This "mysteriously disappears" stuff drives me nuts. I don't like cliffhangers especially when I have no expectation of being able to resolve the cliffhanger.

And yes all of the above is my own personal opinion.

This is cool. My female warden married Alistair and made him do the Dark Ritual, so I'm actually kinda hoping I can kill/maim Morrigan and steal the baby from her. So that at least Alistair can keep a close watch on his potential heir >: )

I may have to take a day or two off!

I am a little surprised, as many are, that they would put out two such hotly anticipated DLC's out on the same day. I'll play Liara's first personally.

I'm not crazy that this may be the last DLC for DA:O but it seems like Bioware is really going to push DA2 and doesn't want DA:O as a distraction. I'm surprised that a sequel is coming out so soon (NOT THAT I AM COMPLAINING) but I suspect that they worked on DA:O for so long that they also took a ton of ideas from it and placed them into DA2 so they had a headstart. Same thing with the new DA2 engine: the DA:O was not up to snuff given Bioware's technical prowess (ME2 blows it away) so they probably decided to plow through with the older engine for DA:O and any work on really upping it went into DA2.

March 2011 can't get here soon enough! Well.. maybe September 9.

Or Alistair! Sorry... he was the one who went to save my warden with Morrigan. He was my bro!

But yes, I feel like I can be fully happy with the Morrigan DLC, and we can pray and rock out as well.

EDIT: just saw Lord_Valandil's last post. Maybe we should start a prayer group for our Wardens.... :)
