Can't wait, if you don't think it's going to be good then don't buy it, simple as that.

Am I theonly person who has mixed feelings about this. Whilst I am really pleased at the prospect of Morrigans return, I'm also a bit saddened because it does seem a bit like the final tying up of loose ends and it is going to be the last DLC and therefore the last piece of "Origins". It all seems a little it final (until DA2 hits the shelves - but now that seems even more like a brand new game and less like a sequel).

My mixed feelings are more about the fact that to my warden she is the woman who had a one night stand with my future husband to produce a 'demon baby', so yeah, thanks BioWare for giving the only really difficult choice to female gamers.................. <_<
Before anyone jumps on me, I am totally a BioWare fan-woman (I'm 44, no point calling myself a fangirl ;)) I am merely pointing out that the only people who gipped out in the Morrigan ritual are women who romanced Alistair and didn't want to die.
That said, I love Dragon Age, I love the writing, I love the game, I love everything about it. And David Gaider should be raised on the shoulders of others for his contribution to making women across the globe spontaneously combust with pleasure for Alistair et al.
I will be getting the DLC just be gentle with us BioWare.......... :)

Ok, so this is it? Though I like the thought of more DA:O I also feel that it's good to finally know how much there will be as I'm not a big fan of micro transactions, at all.

I bought WK, RTO and then Awakening for the 360, before I got frustrated with the console gameplay and got rid of the game. After that I felt that I could as well wait and see how things turn out before I get another copy, this time for pc. So now I'm just waiting for the "ultimate edition" or whatever it'll be called and I guess this announcement about ending the story gets us closer to that.

Morigian was a very interesting character but not necessary my favorite one I would want a DLC for, so I can understand why they are doing it as her story kind of ends suddenly leaving the biggest mystery behind compared to the other characters where it is more of a "walking into the sunset" end ... and I'm not talking about Morigan as a LI, but in general.

So when I look back at my different wardens, specifically my first one (luckly it was a "non-ruthless / pragmatic" playthrough or I would have ended up with no mage and a drunk Alistair ... grmupf. So this particular of my wardens still has an axe to grind (actually wiith both) ... so that opionen chances with different wardens.

So I'm a bit "yes and no" on this DLC, both in terms of it "being the final DLC" and "how exactly the different choices in regards to Morgian" will actually play out (certainly wouldn't want the DR ending getting the major focus of the DLC with the other(s) getting less weight on it)  ... but I'll wait and see. :)

no DLC can ever be better then a nice loaf of breat coming out of the oven and you can cut a slice for that very same fresh baked, still warm loaf however thick or thin you want ... I'll have that any day over any DLC ever released . ;)

This whole conclusion plot will turn out badly, just you wait. The only question remains how badly...

I very much doubt that with a character like Morrigan there can be a happy ending, even though, personally, she's much more interesting than any of the other romanceable characters out there in DAO. So I'm getting this dlc not for some delusional hopes, but to see wether there will be any connections to the DAO 2.

I don't think you're the only one. But I'm not one of them anyway. I think it's really good that the story ends. I hate sequels and trilogies and all that bs. Sometimes I wish that ME would have sucked so that I could decide not to get the second game, but unfortunately I'm really liking it so far. Generally, if I know of a game that I know will be the first in a trilogy then I just don't buy that game. Or wait for a couple of years until it's all over. But ME seemed too good.

Therefore I love that Dragon Age: Origins is a game that's the first in a franchise with potential, but without a real sequel. If I hear anything about DA2 being the first in a trilogy, I'll be mad to be honest. And I'll probably not play in until 2015 or whenever the story'll be finished. With ME I just couldn't wait though, which sometimes makes me mad too. I wish I'd never played it. I want an ending, damn it!

Do you seriously expect this to be a good, conclusive and satisfying conclusion to Origins?

REALLY.

Honestly, I don't think it will be a conclusive ending to origins, but a conclusive ending to Morrigan. I honestly just want to know what happens between the two lovers. Whether she loves him, still doesn't want to him to follow. I seriously think that Dalish artifact (that the elven hunter you get in the DLC is looking for) is going to be a key in releasing the Old God from her womb or strengthening it since the kid is most likely born. And I think you are going to have an ultimatum between preserving (or restoring) something like elven history or complying with Morrigan. Which reminds me: a friend and my theory about elves and their connection to the darkspawn http://social.biowar...index/3340773/1

I think some people expected maybe something like continuing the story with her in a sequal, they probably feel that a downloadable content won't be fleshed out enough and large enough to give them the conclusion to the story they were hoping for.

I also wonder if they would have even bothered making this if so many people hadn't been asking for so long that they let them know what happened to Morrigan and her child. Maybe they had planned on just leaving it as it is originally.

Would you still have broken the vase if we hadn't said anything?

Btw (and I'm sure this has been discussed in a lot of places in this thread, but I have no time to go through 33 pages) does the "revenge" part mean we can kill Morrigan? Personally I really liked the character, but the first Warden I played kind of wanted to kill her already at that special night in Redcliffe. Not because of her "betrayal" (and there was no romance anyway) but because she wanted to resurrect and raise an old god. He was completely freaking out. I always wondered why she couldn't just be slain on the spot, just as a precaution.

I'm kinda disappointed. I was expecting a long game for the conclusion of Morrigan because they always kept telling us that Morrigan is a big part of the setitng. But now we conclude her as a DLC?

My sentiments exactly, it also gives the impression that Dragon Age 2 is actually a completely different game, yet only superfluously linked to DA:O by name only.  I was really hoping Morrigan would become a central character in DA, not quite good or evil, but integral to the narrative.

It's just that, they always went on about Morrigan being a huge part.

So, we get a DLC. I've never purchased or played a DLC that was fleshed out enough to be satisfying. To the extent I consider it as good as an expack.

Morrigan deserves more than a 7 dollar DLC.

I just want multiple decision on what to do. In my canon playthrough, he loves his witch-lover and would go to the ends of the earth to be with her, but in my fem-elf playthrough, she is like a sister that betrays her. And still, in my fem-noble playthrough where I had her heavily into Alistair, she hated Morrigan, but saw her as a means to an end, and eventually, a way to be with her love.

So I want to be able to keep my warden with her and have them both head into the sunset and become a paired legend or something, I want to be able to kill her (though in DSC I couldn't play through it a second time because I had to kill her), and I want to be able to just let her go.

That's just it, they have an incredible character that's multidimensional (for a change), where the possibilities are endless in terms of narrative possibilities (imagine if Morrigan's child was the main protagonist in a sequel to Dragon Age: Origins, you would actually feel a real connection with that character and allow our game saves to mean something...) and yet... here we are, and they're feeding her to us as a $7 DLC. It just doesn't sound right. Quite frankly, it's depressing.

David and Chris, I don't know why you say you cant bring news because either way, you anger someone. Sorry, but you and BioWare MADE it that way from Day fu**ing 1.

Did we get Regularly Patched Game and Toolset - NOPE

Did we get 2 Years of DLC - APPARENTLY NOPE

and what the hell was the date on the piece of paper in awakening?! if our adventures with the warden are over, has this been scrapped too?!

Go to hell BioWare instead of acting the bloody victim..You don't have to look further than this thread and the DA2 posts to know you have a horrible marketting scheme, and you seem to enjoy raising anger with your loyal frickin fans

Is there a reply from Gaider saying anything about the fate of our Warden. Please let it not be. I am excited about the DLC, but, the Warden's end? Say it aint so!!!

No and there won't be.

If you want to know what happens in Witch Hunt, play Witch Hunt.

If you mean what happens to DA:O after Witch Hunt, it ends. There is no more warden adventures or any adventures in Dragon Age: Origins after Witch Hunt.

If you want to know will your warden character ever appear in DA2, DA3, DA7, DA103, etc, you will have to wait and see.

So we have 101 more sequels confirmed right there! Wow, that's gonna be a LONG storyline :)

last dlc? DAMN!

ok i'm glad they're wrapping up morrigans story but i was hoping for something for Zevran - how cool would a flashback to his early assassin days have been? or maybe something for Sten - an encounter on his way back home perhaps

"Ah, yes, two years of DLC! We have dismissed those claims"

Where's my Zevran DLC? Or the Sten DLC? *sad panda face*
Still, if more Dragon Age DLCs mean things like Darkspawn Chronicles or Golems of A-something, then it's better to stop making them.

If that's the case, Morrigan is *so* out of luck -- my Dalish fighter romanced Zevran and is more likely than not just going to be annoyed at being hauled out of a warm bed in Antiva to go deal with Morrigan's snarky self again. ;)

I'll keep an eye on the characters as they're revealed. If Zevran's available for this one, I'll buy it day-of-release, no questions asked, and it'll be the first money Bioware's gotten from me since the disappointment that was Awakening. Anything else is going to take a stack of glowing reviews to get me to pick it up.

I hope I can off Morrigan in this DLC. So she doesn't appear in any future games for me.

Keep dreaming...

I guess we will see when this half assed DLC is released.

There's nothing to see. MIke Laidlaw already confirmed that Morrigan wil have a large part to play after DA2.

BioWare, it would make all the people complaining about 2 years of DLC stop complaining if you just come out and say you released the 2 years of DLC much quicker than intended. For instance Leliana's Song, Golems of Amgarrak and now Witch Hunt have been released one month after another whereas they might have been two months apart before.

This is the end of Origins, not Morrigan. They have already hinted that she has a role to play past this DLC.

I have my concerns, I'm concerned they are just going to reuse old locations like they have been doing, I'm concerned that we are once again going to have characters nobody wants or cares about forced into our party to use, I would rather just do the adventure on my own or with the dog than take some no mark mage along with me.

I'm basically concerned this wont be the fitting end Origins deserves, Origins was an awesome game and if it's going out it should be with a bang, not a whimper.
