DA103, coming in 2056 !
I'll send my grandsons buy it for me
I would hope that by 2056 cloning is more open to the public and
then keep a young clone of myself to keep playing instead of watching my
greandsons playing and me sitting on a chair almost falling sleep, and
if cloning is not yet perfected then I will use the cane to scare them
away and let me play in peace
Also, Is the DLC already finished or is there still time to make some changes according with the comments from this thread? can the writers or the people in charge put more things or edit them before the release or is it all just too late??? The matter of players still wearing her ring from the moment she gave it to the warden till the very end of awakening could be interesting also the mirror that she seemed to appreciate for it was worth enought to make it a plot cinematic, maybe Morrigan was able to see the warden through magic with the mirror, those ideas for the cinematic of the ring in the warden's hand, morrigan holding the mirror looking at the warden in the korcari wilds or where ever she is at the moment of the encounter. Ideas ideas (sigh) so not to look too fan about the DLC and about morrigan (wich is too late) but 12 days goes by very fast.

First, thi sounds like a it's got quite some potential to become a very good dlc.
I am quite sure this question has been raised before, but I couldn't find any answer in the BW posts and I'd be since I am curious I'd be really grateful if someone could fill me in on the following point (beware of possible spoilers on one of the main game endings).
What if I went for the "Ultimate Sacrifice" ending in the main game? The dlc has to take place after my warden died. Do I have to make a new character just for this dlc?
If someone knows, please share.
EDIT: Oh, nevermind, just saw on the official page that you can create a new high lvl char for the dlc.
Silly me
But still, thanks SDNcN and wildannie:wizard:.

It says on the site that you can make a new character or import one from Awakening. I guess if that happens then you would just play as a Warden investigating rumors that the Hero of Ferelden's former companion has reappeared.

I would prefer to believe the old writers proverb that no great character dies, they just go away until their absence makes it profitable to bring them back. Will our warden be found hanging on a Hutts wall encased in Carbonite? Maybe pop up in Mass Effect 3? lol. If anything history has shown us that we like to revisit the past. The clothes, the movies, and really? Do they really need to remake Footloose and Red Dawn? Spoiler, the plot of Red Dawn is that the Chinese call in their markers on all the loans they made us.
But back to my point. I have played just about every possible thing you can on DAO, and I hope they are giving the game the send off it deserves. Thank you for all the great gaming so far Bioware.

No and there won't be.
If you want to know what happens in Witch Hunt, play Witch Hunt.
If you mean what happens to DA:O after Witch Hunt, it ends. There is no more warden adventures or any adventures in Dragon Age: Origins after Witch Hunt.

Well I'm glad that the door has not been definitively closed upon our GW character, although I'll not be holding my breath. It's good to have a glimmer of hope... I think...
I'm still waiting for the hinted at sequel to Flash Gordon, don't think I want to see it anymore now that I'm not 8 years old

Clever. Not saying too much, yet giving us a possibility. An interesting twist. So it's possible this may not be the last we see of Morrigan.

My Wardens final words when Morrigan kills him at the dramatic end of 'Witch Hunt':
"I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. The dead rising and rampaging at Redcliffe. I've killed the High Dragon near Andrastes sacred ashes. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in the rain. Time to die."

Last storyline DLC after Origins is my guess. They may make more DLCs before Origins. Either way, female wardens get more of a conclusion to their romance with Alistair than male wardens do with Morrigan.Evermind wrote...

If a darkspawn touches an Old God, it becomes an Archdemon. What would happen if a Grey Warden touches an Old God? I hope this isn't the reason Morrigan told me not to follow her.

However, I would have expected this tale to be fit for a chunky expansion rather than a 2 hour DLC. Not least because of dialogue.
This particular chapter should be one that is dialogue heavy, given the relationship with the Warden etc. Yet DLC's to date have been notoriously "dialogue lite"
We shall see.

i'm not sure, i've read that dead wardens could be imported into awakenings so maybe not
Importing a "dead" Warden into Awakening or Golems was basically because they wanted to give you the option to keep playing with a character you had invested a lot of time and effort in. Granted, by doing so, that causes your Warden's story to be retcon-ed a little bit. However, if you wanted to stay "true" to your character, you could just create the new Warden for Awakening/Golems/Witch Hunt. That way their original choice (Ultimate Sacrifice) stays true for your particular story. It's been mentioned somewhere in the DA2 threads that they didn't know (at that time) if they would re-retcon your US Warden if you had brought him/her back to life for Awakening. But the point here was that the option was given not to ignore your choice, but as a bit of a middle ground so you could still play with a character you felt close to, yes explain why they were alive again.
On a semi-related note (only cause the "decision" process got me thinking), am I the only one who thinks that this DLC may have some replayability so it won't be just a one and done sort of deal (which in a way could be akin to a small scale version of the DA2 scope). Look at this way:
You've made your choices. Some of the choices will probably be explained similarly to others but since the DLC is looking at covering all the different choice options, there should be different ways it plays out. Did your Warden accept her deal personally or not? Did you convince someone else to accept her offer (whether you didn't want to or had to as a Female Warden)? Were you in a romantic relationship with her, yet rejected her offer? (She was pregnant in that scenario as well, just not with the OGB.) Is your Warden alive or not? (Playing as the "new"/Orlesian Warden implies the Ultimate Sacrifice ending.) Did you reject her completely? (No relationship, no ritual.)
Related to that, did you kill Flemeth for real or lie to her about it? With all the talk of Flemeth appearing in DA2, would it really be that much of a stretch if she appeared as part of this DLC as well? These are things off the top of my head that I'm sure David and company not only thought about but have all covered as well as things I'm sure I hadn't thought about either (yes I have faith in them over this.) There are quite a number of ways things could possibly play out based the choices we made and how we shaped our Ferelden. I think this makes "Witch Hunt" unique out of the DLCs that have been released since it's not merely one story with one set of events that lead us up to this one moment with only one possible outcome. Even if the differences are subtle, I know I'm looking forward to playing out as many of the different scenarios as I can which I'm hopeful will lead to different ending results. Just as the story of our Warden was told uniquely for each person playing the game and with each character we created and the decisions they made, it would only be fitting to have our Dragon Age: Origins story end in the same manner: formed from the decisions we made in the past and make in the finale.

Brian Blessed is now voicing for some sat nav systems. He does his Hawk Man voice on occasion when commanding drivers which way to turn, so he himself said.
I digress. I do find it amusing re the comments about 'waiting and seeing' if the Warden will ever appear again. He mentions DA 2 ( before listing the rest in a series of random numbered titles ) but is it not already confirmed the Warden won't be in that. Hence the reliability of that statement as a whole, vaguely suggestive as it is about the future return of the Warden, perhaps being nothing more than thin air

What happens? The Old God is back. Good old Urthemiel is reborn. The question is, what would he do? Probably will try to become the new world leader, since there is no Maker around to imprison him again.Proodle wrote...

Morrigan said that he represents freedom. I suppose it's freedom for mages, like herself, because the first thing Urthemiel will want to do is wipe out the Chantry and any worshipers of the Maker. You know, because the Maker imprisoned him for centuries and doomed to suffer darkspawn corruption.

The dreaded Archdemon has been slain and the advance of the darkspawn halted by a lone, heroic Grey Warden.
What? When was the Grey Warden alone?
She was never heard from again... until now. Nearly a year has passed
since the Archdemon's death, and word has reached the Wardens that
Morrigan has returned to Ferelden.
That's not "never heard from again". It's more of an extended vacation.
She has been sighted in the southern wilderness where she was first encountered. Is it truly her?
Yeah.. I think so, because it says "Confront Morrigan" right below.
If it is, then why has is she here and what secret does she carry with her?
??? I'm not sure why has is she here.
