Cautiously optimistic.

However, I would have expected this tale to be fit for a chunky expansion rather than a 2 hour DLC. Not least because of dialogue.

This particular chapter should be one that is dialogue heavy, given the relationship with the Warden etc. Yet DLC's to date have been notoriously "dialogue lite"

We shall see.

In the end Morrigan won't say a word, because they couldn't get Claudia to reprise her role. :D

Thank you BW for such an amazing ride. It was a blast to play through time and time again. Really looking forward  to this closure with Morrigan as well.

One last thread hangs in the saga of the Grey Warden, Hero of Ferelden. Uncover the secret carried by Morrigan and the plans she hides in Witch Hunt, the final DLC for Dragon Age: Origins!

:pinched::o Final DLC... :o:sick::crying:

I want a Zevran DLC! I want to play Zev as he makes some master assassins disappear and become the leader of the Crows! It will be fun if it were a stealth and assassination DLC!!! Solid Snake - TianChu style! I want to see Antiva City!

I also like a Shale DLC!! I want to make her a squishy dwarf again - her journey with Wynne to Tervinter to regain her mortality!

I suppose the ladies would like some Aliester as well...

:(:( Why is it that only Leliana and Morrigan get their own DLC

Shale will say this to Bioware again:
HAG:devil:

Can't wait for another 2 hour dungeon crawl through recycled locations with a bunch of new 'no name' companions. Can already see a reused location in the 2nd screenshot.

Oh, and don't forget the 'collect 6 pieces of X to unlock a cheat item in Origins/Awakening' thing.

The question is, will the short cutscene with Morrigan at the end of this DLC be worth it?

This whole last DLC thing just says to everyone that Dragon age is a flawed product and that Bioware does not want to invest anymore into it.

Another Broken promise as you can see….

I like the product, love it in fact but now the Dragon Age seems to me like a Cash cow to Bioware and that is all they are interested in.

What happens if DA2 is technically faulty like the original game? Are they gonna do a few DLC’s and them dump the game and move on to DA3?

I know that there is a lot of factors into the decisions of Bioware that guide what they do and how they do it, but if their business is gonna be all about the money and trying to cash in and fail to deliver on what they promise, I see dark days ahead.

I can get the point that they want to get DA2 out because it might be a better game but I remember many moons ago that Bioware was raving about Origins as the end all to it all ARPG and look at the state it is now…

No more dlc’s even though 2 years was originally planned.

Technical issues for many players ( me included ) that are still not resolved.

Makes you wonder if this is the exact same soup you will get with DA2?

Plus the weird impression that everything is rushed to an end to make an ultimate edition ( as per rumours) to try to cash in again on the franchise by combining everything together in one package before the x-mas season with a few trinkets to make it look appealing does not sound right….

Ok…you ll call me a conspiracy theorist by it does not take a genius to see all of this coming…

DO not and I repeat do not get me wrong here! I love the product and I think that if you look at the game just by itself is better than a lot of ARPG and even better than the “godly” Diablo. I have bought Bioware points galore to support the company.

The game is an epic success!

The support and Bioware’s attitude towards it’s fans is however an epic fail in my opinion.

Quite frankly, I see a different picture forming for Mass Effect 2 and it looks like it is less of a let down than Dragon Age…

Good thing is that there are many good ARPG’s to be played out there..old and new and upcoming…

I'm very excited about this DLC. However, it kind of seems bittersweet since it appears that "our" characters from the original Dragon Age will not reappear in part 2 or subsequent sequels. I would've like to continue my relationships with my original travel companions...particularly Alistair! ; )

I was kinda hoping this adventure would have been incorporated into a sequel (a la Awakening) and not just DLC. Trapsing around Orlais and beyond could have led to all kinds of excitement. So I'm a bit disappointed (just a bit).

Flemmeth will be in DA2 and BioWare has made it more than clear that Morrigan WILL be seen again in future games although possibly not in DA2. That's more than enough for me.

My thoughts exactly. Couldn't have said it better. There goes my hopes of returning to the Warden in DA3. Looks like all my Bioware praise from now on will rest squarely on Mass Effects' shoulders.

Oh cool!  That's definitely exciting.  I've developed such a bond with these characters after playing a gazillion hours of Dragon AgePosted Image

Um..... you did.

Could we have done other party-focused stories? Sure, tons. I love Zevran, so why not? There's a million things we could do, but we're stopping the Origins train here with this particular tale-- and I think it's an appropriate place to end, myself, considering all that Morrigan represents.

not dead ... you just won't be able to play the warden and that means potentially an open ended "ending" if you didn't chose the US-ending. ;)
Which for me becomes more and more appealing. On the other side ... who wants to get back to a character they haven't played in years (speaking of DA3 or DA4) and forgot most of their motivations by then? Where it isn't the character anymore the people remember but the memory of the character becoming that shiny icon. OKi just an ssumtion that probably doesn't apply to most people.

But after a few year it is probably not worth revisiting a specific character ... and I'm getting more and more into the mood of not wanting to see my wardens again, no matter how much I like them or not. I want to see more of Thedas and not just limited to the wardens view.

But that is just me ... :)

That
just means the the Wardens story in connection with Morigan ends ... he
did say nothing about Morigan story ending as the Story in Origin IS the stroy of our Warden(s) not of Morigan.

I think I might get confused come 7th September, I might end up hunting down the Shadow Broker in the Kocari Wilds to see if Liara has had my God Baby.

I believe all that means is that they are ending Origins.. Not Morrigan's story specifically. No where does it say "Morrigan's story ends with this DLC"

Ahem, "2 years of DLC"? Not happening is it? You want everyone who you mislead to go out and buy DA:O2 don't you? You are going to end the DLC a year early so you rush out an "Ultimate Edition" to cash in one last time on DA:O before DA:O2 comes out aren't you?

So how does this is going to make the fans feel?

(checks this thread) HAPPY?!?! WTF!?!?

What is wrong with everyone? 2 years of DLC, "..broad long term support plan for the game."

You don't feel mislead? You feel happy? oh BioWare you are so awesome, we love you BioWare blah blah. Are you kidding me?

It's no wonder game companies are getting away with more and more BS these days.

I love DA:O, I was looking forward to two years of DLC. I'm even going to buy this one, because the ending this DLC is about is the best RPG storyline ever written IMO, but I'm not getting DA:O2 or Mass Effect 2, or anything else BioWare put out.

This has ended my relationship with BioWare after many years and many great games. Thanks for the memories guys. Adios.

You know, to feed the writer's tear quota, I'll guess this DLC will end with a glorious happy ending only to have it all be a dream, with the Warden trapped in the Fade by a Desire Demon, blissfully unaware of his eternal entrapment. Good enough for the tear quota, Gaider?:crying:

What are you doing! Don't give them any ideas! Banish that vile thought! Banish! BANISH!

What's really funny is that this idea did come up in the writer's pit. Then we laughed and laughed and laughed.

And then we said, "Okay, no, seriously..."

The end of the Dragon Age series will show Mr. Gaider sitting in a chair, and as the camera pans out, you can see him sheding tears from laughing so hard. And then he stares straight into the camera and laughs maniacally.

I was expecting that Morrigan's freak baby as going to be prevailant in futre DA titles (Maybe DA 3 or an expansion). It almost seems to me that a DLC (based on earlier DAO DLC) won't have enough substance to have the story I think myself and many others were expecting.

I will still buy it and probably enjoy it but I was expecting more from this.

Witch hunt DLC, shadow broker DLC, and maybe that new borderlands dlc which I may/may not get.

All before my classes start.
