Witch Hunt DLC Announced!

Why couldn't you make an expansion out of this? Why couldn't you give it the time and presentation it deserves?
I'll be completely honest. I'm going to buy this, because I just want to know what happens that badly. But I am fully expecting to be monumentally let down. And if I get what I expect, then I'll have developed the willpower needed to say you can take even your DLC that is connected to the very best story aspects of your game and shove it all. I'll never repeat the momentary lapse.
I really really really want you to prove me wrong on this, given the subject matter. But I'm sure not expecting it.

So which is canon? DR or no DR? I am curious...
There is no canon concerning Decisions. Morrigan's departure only struck me as odd because it's an event that warrants something a little bigger than a two hour or so DLC.

I'm a little concerned that something of this caliber is coming out a few short weeks after it is announced. Hopefully, it has a year or so of work behind it. I'm also a little concerned that such a huge non-canon event is DLC.
We have been working on Witch Hunt for more than a few weeks, dont worry

I'm curious about that too, but all that leaves me with is one question: If Golems DLC was canon how did the warden get away to even go on a witch hunt?
The Warden stopped by the Wilds on the way to the Frostback mountains? I dunno. The Golems DLC could have happened at any time, really.

I'm sure, but my next question I guess is: why wasn't it hyped more? Not to knock you guys, but we know more about the mysterious 2.11.11 date than this.

All I can say is this better not be a rushed POS gimmick or I will have lost all faith in Bioware. All faith. This story is too important for it to be an hour long mish-mash of spare parts and dialogue that's been lying around the office. The fact that I'm even so concerned says a lot. A few years ago I would have followed Bioware blindly into the pits of gaming hell. Here's hoping for the best.
Sadly, I can tell you already that's what's going to happen. Since all the other DLCs have this kind of template going on ... The cheaper it is, the shorter it is. You can expect this DLC to be less than 2 hours or so.

Since my warden persuaded Alistair to do the ritual for Leliana's sake more than anything else (ok, was a selfish reason too - not wanting to leave her and die and all), I feel it would be such a missed opportunity to not be able to explore how Leliana would react to the revelation that unholy magic was the sole reason she got to keep her beloved.
The same could also be true for those who romanced Zevran too, although somehow I think with Leliana's faith
it would impact her on a much deeper level.
Unless of course they leave it nice an open inpreparation for DA3 when it all comes together spectacularly?

Still, more Morrigan = awsomeness!
I wuv yoo Bioware:wub:

Also, I would like to know if Alistair or Loghain will be with us. I played a female character and Alistair made the ritual so it's seems Alistair should have something to say and do about this....
And of course... is the ritual a canon? Or the DLC can be played with the Awakening character and with no ritual choice?
Thanks

Chronological sequence: Origins > Awakening > Golems > Witch Hunt
I guess this would pre-suppose that your Golems save file will load into Witch Hunt.
Question: will WH be as hard as Golems?? Who's the end-Boss?

What about the rest of us? Many of us that romanced someone other than Morrigan feel that our story will not be complete until we get some closure with our love interests. That being said, do you plan to have an origins expansion that could help the rest of us end our warden's story? OR, will there be DA2 DLC that will serve this purpose? Or, should we shelve our hopes?

I really REALLY hope that you guys could mention some ending references in the epilogue.
Like 'he went back and lived happily bla bla' If there will be an epilogue screen of course.
Since this is our last adventure with the Warden, I hope he gets a well deserved ending.

Oh.. Okay, I think I understand where you're coming from. I don't think that's the definition of canon though. We're definitely tying up loose ends here for the Origins storyline-- DA2 will be about something completely different. Actually, maybe it is even foreshadowing a story arch for DA2, who knows.Bryy_Miller wrote...

non-canon? If it's in the game, DLC or not, how is it non-canon?Bryy_Miller wrote...

I mean.. If your Warden decided not to do the DR, then yeah, it's not exactly Canon for your Warden-- but it isn't fanon, either.
By non-canon, I meant that I didn't think we'd be getting anything in DLC directly related to prior choices. But it looks like this is pre-DA2 DLC, just like Shadowbroker seems to be pre-ME3 (still waiting on official word for that, though). Also: there's a Strider in the screenshots. Giddy.
very excited though
