Maybe this is wrong, but for some reason I feel there should be some Ennio Morricone style music for the finale showdown between Morrigan and Mage Warden.

As long as I get to be Blondie and not Tucco.

Last DLC? That kind of makes me sad. I was hoping for more adventures with my Warden. I just hope we get some good story and dialogue, hopefully with meaningful reaction to our choices. *glares at Bioware*

Given its a low cost DLC I would be surprised if there is much of that.

I keep reading that the recently announced Dragon Age Origns DLC Witch Hunt (about Morrigan's story) will be the LAST DLC for Dragon Age Origns (I think I read "final DLC."). Is this true Bioware? If so, then why???!!! I remember reading a few months ago that Bioware was planning a new DLC for each of the 9 companions from the original Dragon Age Origins game, and I thought this was a really good idea! So far we have 2 such DLC's: Leliana's Song and Witch Hunt. Or 3 if you count the one about Shale (The Stone Prisoner). So I was looking forward to seeing several more DLCs coming out with the other 6 companions for Dragon Age! We're talking Alistair, Sten, Oghren, Wynne, Zevran, and Loghain (Dog doesn't need one lol). So when I read that Witch Hunt was going to be the last DLC for Origins I was very disappointed!!! There's another 7 months until Dragon Age 2 comes out (March 2011). So if Bioware released 1 new DLC each month for the next 6 months, then Dragon Age fans would have something to play until Dragon Age 2 comes out! Come on Bioware! This is an opportunity for you to make more $$$ and to please your loyal fans! I have been a fan of Bioware since Baldur's Gate. I have played Baldur's Gate 1 & 2, Icewind Dale, Neverwinter Nights 1 & 2, and now Dragon Age (I'll get to Mass Effect eventually). So as a long-time and loyal fan of your amazing RPG games, please consider this idea. I would love to see how each companion's story ends and actually experience it rather than just watch some end credits at the end of the game.

Here's an idea that you can use Bioware: have a DLC with Alistair. Story: Alistair has been king for 10 years and bored with his kingly duties and is itching for one final adventure. He finds someone to take over for him, then he sends a messenger to deliver a message to you that he wants to be a Grey Warden one last time by going on one final adventure with you. Perhaps a new enemey emerges that threatens the Kingdom of Ferelden. Or perhaps some remnant of the Blight reemerges from hiding to threaten the peace. Either way, you both go on one final adventure together. Then at the end, perhaps he gets killed in battle and you have a huge funeral for King Alistair (like in the movie First Knight when King Arthur dies). And someone is chosen to be his sucessor--maybe the main character, or maybe he has a son. Think about it! I would also love to see a story about maybe how Sten redeems himslef and you travel to the Qunari homelands. Or Loghain redeems his family's honor and becomes a great hero for the people of Ferelden. Or Ogren reunites with his family and you travel to the dwarven city. Or Wynne becomes a leader of the Circle of Magi and sacrifices herself for the greater good.
Thanks Bioware for making great RPG games all these years!!! :wizard:

Just now had time to get on and see the new Witch Hunt DLC. OH I sooooo cannot wait for that! I still have yet to get and play Lel's Song and Golems for my xbox since I cannot resolve my unauthorized DLC issue with my PC.( no matter what I do to fix it)

Finally we won't be left hanging off a cliff about the whole morrigan outcome! :o) (bounces excited in chair)

Game Developer speak:

"Soon" - According to Blizzard, "soon" could mean a couple of days or many months.

"Two years DLC" - According to Bioware, "two years DLC" means one year of half done DLC's while you wait for bugs to be addressed.

"EA buys Bioware" - this means Oh CRAP!!

SoR82 and Lord Gremlin,

I'm not quite sure what the character slot limit is for a PC, but after completing the DLCs such as Darkspawn Chronicles, Leliana's Song and Golems of Amgarrak (each one of which created a new character in my list, which already had the 6 character slots - one for each origin - plus another character slot for my Awakening playthrough) and obtaining the trophies that each of those DLCs offered, I simply deleted the characters that were created due to those 3 DLCs, as I will (in all likelihood) never go back to them again. There is no point really... I've played those stand alone campaigns, got my trophies and unlocked the bonus items across ALL of my characters automatically... and now there is no reason whatsoever for me to keep those saves/character slots.

Unlike the first 3 DLCs, where they are actually integrated into the main story and in order to obtain items that come with those DLCs, you actually have to play out the story; they are not automatically unlocked across all of your characters once finished.
So if you are feeling the pinch with the character limit, this is certainly one solution. Posted Image

Yep i already deleted leliana i didnt bother with darkspawn i had no interest in it whatsoever, i have not yet deleted my golems saves as i was unsure what dlcs woiuld follow and at what stage characyers could be imported to it e.g. do items skills and stats in golems go into witch hunt OR does it simply play INSTEAD of that adventure starting from awakening/origins end?

I also hope we see less recyled areas then we have in previous dlc, leliana was particularly bad for that, i dont expect massive new builds but they couldnt manage a few variations?

Since it's been mentioned you can import your Golems save into Witch Hunt, whatever you had in your inventory and whatever your stats, skills, and abilities were at that time would be carried over.

Also, as far as the character limit, I did find 1 workaround on the PS3.  If you load up your Origins disk and look at your saved games, that will show all characters in all modules, Origins, Awakening, Darkspawn Chronicles, Leliana's Song, and Golems of Amgarrak.  If you load your Awakening Disk instead, all of your Origins characters will not be listed (this wasn't always the case, but changed after one of the patches).  As such you should have more character slots available and will be able to start a new Awakening / Darkspawn / Leliana / Golems / Witch Hunt game without having to delete anything.  The caveats to this are that if you want to start a new game in Origins, you may have more characters to delete in order to free up a spot and if you downloaded Awakening (cause you live in Europe for example), then this trick likely won't work.  But this is what I've been doing since I have both game disks and had 6 Origins and 4 Awakening characters.  I went into Awakening where it said I only used 4 slots, so I had 6 more to use.

Hope that helps.

1st YES it's one billion percent true this is the end.......both Chris Priestly and David Gaider already explained all this in this very thread.

2nd NO BioWare NEVER once said they were planning DLC for all 9 companions.....that was garbage requests by forum posters. BioWare simply said they weren't yet done with companion based DLC and that they were looking at various things.....this was true, Now Morrigan is the last DLC and last companion based DLC.

Instead of DLC for Sten (which would have required new settings, textures, items, etc. that would have put the price point more into "expansion" than the typical $5-12 BW DLC), we're getting DA2.

DA2 Qunari:  Now (finally!) with horns!  Now there actually is a resemblance between a Qunari and an Ogre!

Note:  I understand that there are entirely valid reasons (likely related to development cost) why the Qunari models didn't have horns in DA:O.  The three biggest issues/contradictions/inconsistencies I have with DA:O backstory, though, are
  • Qunari look nothing like Ogres, other than being big.  (Okay, granted that Shrieks don't look much like elves neither.)
  • Lyrium is poisonous in raw form...unless you need to recharge by touching a lyrium vein (which DGaider has referred to as, "uh, space lyrium".
  • Dwarves don't dream and don't enter the Fade...unless the Sloth Demon puts them to sleep.  (And then the Corpse Galls from the dream antagonists turn out to be still in inventory on return to the real world--compounding an inconsistency with an obvious bug.)

So just to be clear--there's no DLC planned for Awakenings?

Edit: Just read Priestly's response in another thread, and wow...this is the end for all things DA1 related.  :(

Couldnt agree more :P

I hope that with this being the conclussion that we get to go out with a bang, I mean, seriously. After all the hell our Warden has been threw, I understand its a DLC, but it needs to be epic . I have FULL trust in BioWare, but not EA :bandit:.  Im still kinda "eghhhh" on finishing the game at Level 35, that just feels so unfinished to me, but whatever nothing can change it, no use ****ing about it. :?

Come on BioWare, remind everyone just why you guys are number sodding one at what you do :wizard:, and lets end Origins with a BANG :o

Nope im european im afraid so once again we get screwed over.

And i was sure they said they had a full programme of dlc to take people to dragon 2 and beyond.... guess that went out the window when they realised they have to make effort

Just something else I refuse to buy. I'm tired of the bug fest and garbage patches. I want the content I paid for the 1st time around. I shouldn't have to wait for the community to fix it or do it myself.

Awakening was the final straw for me. It was so bad quality and content wise that I'm simply not buying any further "Bioware" err, I mean EA products. I can put up with a few bugs, not 30% of the content simply unplayable.

I would like to buy Witch Hunt, but I'm not.

Okay .... so if Awakening was the last straw then why are you posting :??   Not trying to be a ****** here just curious, we have had bunches of DLC since then, seems kinda odd that you decide to come out of the blue just to let use know you want buy it? Just an observation :bandit:

So you want things the same quality as Wardens Keep? Since that was the first paid for DLC (Unless you bought SP) I'd say most of the DLC's are the same quality as Wardens Keep, so...yeah.
