I would like to know if I'm gonna be able to import my charater from Golem's DLC. I hope so...

Also, I would like to know if Alistair or Loghain will be with us. I played a female character and Alistair made the ritual so it's seems Alistair should have something to say and do about this....

And of course... is the ritual a canon? Or the DLC can be played with the Awakening character and with no ritual choice?

Thanks

None of the DAO ending are canon, according to a post by M__ Gaider in the DA2 forums.

Since Witch Hunt is set six months after Golems of Amdljkdfjhdf, I would think you'll be able to import your character.

Most promising DLC, but the last until Dragon Age 2 hits the stores? :(

Who's the writer on this DLC? Given Morrigan was one of his characters in DA:O, I'm hoping Gaider....

This is a very pertinent question, I am rather curious myself.

I truly hope you don't screw this up, BioWare - it's a very important and delicate story arc, with a great emotional impact to lots of fans, especially those who romanced Morrigan. But you know this already!

Please, be up to the task.

There is no canon concerning Decisions. Morrigan's departure only struck me as odd because it's an event that warrants something a little bigger than a two hour or so DLC.

While I believe the same (I was better believing that my Warden longed to see Morrigan for the rest of his life while she went to god-knows-where) the DLC still makes me excited.

So this is the final DLC for Origins. I'm truly happy you listened to the Morrigan fans. Thank you Bioware. You will give the Morrigan fans some closure.

What about the rest of us? Many of us that romanced someone other than Morrigan feel that our story will not be complete until we get some closure with our love interests. That being said, do you plan to have an origins expansion that could help the rest of us end our warden's story? OR, will there be DA2 DLC that will serve this purpose? Or, should we shelve our hopes?

I know it's not really my place to comment, exactly, but here's my two cents-- I don't think this story line is geared towards Morrigan romance partners specifically. I didn't really romance Morrigan or have much interest in her, but regardless, she's got a story in her belly. Even if you're not her lover chasing after her for those reasons, there are definitely things to be concerned about. For example, my Warden might be worried about what she plans to do with it...........
Who knows, though-- maybe this DLC IS all about Morrigan and dedicate for her lovahhs. But I think it's more than that...

I would be ok with this!  Just gimmie a good coda to my Warden's fun story and I'll send 'em off into the sunset, sailing majestically into the misty forests of history, happily humping Leliana.

I wonder if its possible to bring companions from DA:O and DA:Awakenings to confront her, especially

if the Warden has a throw down with her.

Key Features:

•Confront Morrigan in this dramatic conclusion to the Origins storyline

•Earn powerful rewards that transfer into your Awakening and Origins campaign

•Import your character from Origins or Awakening or create a new, high-level hero

Can we import from Golems of Amgarrak as well? Is Witch Hunt supposed to take place after GoA?

Is that a strider from DA2 in the background of the picture with the giant Dragon?

I'm interested about Flemet. What part she has if she is alowed to live or are kiled. Well , i don't think we really killed it (DA2 prety proves it (unless Flemeth meets Hawke before she was, like, killed (but still i don't think she dies))). So the question is what part it plays, of course if she appears at all :D

well so much for the "2 years of DLC support" we were promised with this game.. i am glad they are sorting out the morigan story line but yeah im wary of he quality and disapointed that Bioware didnt announce properly and appologise that they werent going to be continuing with the 2 year DLC plan like they promised

All I can say is this better not be a rushed POS gimmick or I will have lost all faith in Bioware. All faith. This story is too important for it to be an hour long mish-mash of spare parts and dialogue that's been lying around the office. The fact that I'm even so concerned says a lot. A few years ago I would have followed Bioware blindly into the pits of gaming hell. Here's hoping for the best.

Why did it have to be a DLC?! WHY???
Why couldn't you make an expansion out of this? Why couldn't you give it the time and presentation it deserves?
I'll
be completely honest. I'm going to buy this, because I just want to
know what happens that badly. But I am fully expecting to be
monumentally let down. And if I get what I expect, then I'll have
developed the willpower needed to say you can take even your DLC that is
connected to the very best story aspects of your game and shove it all.
I'll never repeat the momentary lapse.

I really really really want you to prove me wrong on this, given the subject matter. But I'm sure not expecting it.

Bingo. I'm excited as hell, but this DLC has to be leaps and bounds above the quality of all prior DLC and Awakening. If this isn't the same quality and polish as Origins, I'm with Eyeofastorm- I'll be through with BioWare. This is make or break. I want it to be amazing, but the prior DLC and Awakening have been anything but. I'm hoping for the best but preparing for the worst.

I'm skeptical that it will answer all Morrigan questions too. Or that we don't end up getting Gaider'd and its not Morrigan, but Flemeth shapeshifted into Morrigan or some such rubbish.

I'm exicted but also very worried about this. We shall see....:wizard:

One last thread hangs in the saga of the Grey Warden, Hero of Ferelden. Uncover the secret carried by Morrigan and the plans she hides in Witch Hunt, the final DLC for Dragon Age: Origins!

...but not necessarily the last expansion, eh?
Seriously though as this appears the last of the DLC, its a good DLC to end it and IMHO the best way to deal with Morrigan. Thanks Bioware! :D

Are they others gonna join you on this "Witch-hunt" Alistair, Leliana, Oghren or someone else, perhaps?

I have what's probably a random question to most people in this thread. :-P I'm really excited about the Dalish companion, given that my canon Warden and my favorite origin are the Dalish. Will she actually recognize the Warden as a fellow Dalish? I haven't gotten to put my canon through Awakening but I've heard that Velanna does not. Is this a consideration being taken into this new companion? It would make me very happy if it were!

AGH! I am so excited! But, really, couldn't they have refrained from picking the same day as their other HUGE DLC release? Something tells me I'll be up late on September 7th...

You know what? I'm not spending $7 on that. Not that I'm expecting this to be it.  I don't think writers even at BioWare have the kind of sadistic humor to do something like that. Just to be SURE I'm waiting at least a couple days for some spoilers and reviews to pop up.

A few observations:

* The second screenshot is definitely the same map as the Dragonbone Wastes from Awakening. It shows the place where you fight the High Dragon. Will we be returning to this location or is it just a recycled map like in the other DLCs? Also, the creature in the background on the right seems to be a Strider from DA2.

* The human male mage in screenshots #2 and #3 seems to be your second companion in addition to Ariane, the Dalish warrior. There will probably be only two companions (at the same time), like in Leliana's Song.
