Seriously, man? The Warden has done enough in one year? Loghain and Maric have fought for much longer than the Warden, just like countless numbers of others, and they were not what you called "done". I believe the Warden can still spend his time fighting in Dragon Age and look forward to being able to use him as a character, should Bioware listen to some of their true fans.

Actually they stated just DA:O was 2 years worth, Then throw in Awakening, and every other DLC they added in, Thats tons of things, people can have y'know....PEACEFUL lives for a while. They don't have to constantly be in action. I'd like to think my character settled down after a while, and wasn't in a constant battle with Darkspawn, or Bandits, or whatever it may be that they think of next. He had his epic journey, become the hero, even returned as the hero and did some last cleanup duty to make sure the lands were better(Aka Awakening), now he's doing even more with the Golem's DLC and the Witch Hunt DLC. Yes, That is quite a lot of adventuring. Sure, others have done quite a bit more. And as for being a real fan and assuming I'm not...

Wouldn't a real fan know Origin's Lasted for TWO years and not one? And that wasn't including Awakening or any DLC. Heh. I'm not saying you aren't a real fan, just don't throw random insults for the sake of trying to sound right. =/

A year, two, three, is not enough regardless, I can think of PLENTY of games which the heroes took many years, perhaps decades of their lives fighting against the enemies. Metal Gear Solid series, God of War, Harry Potter. All these games take much longer than just a measly three years, which by the way I'd like a link to prove it took more than two years to actually defeat the archdemon.

And the real fan comment came from my noticing of your huge lack of appreciation towards a customizable Warden, which by the way is the definition of the first game, and still so in the second game.

I have three Wardens thanks, A Warrior, a Mage, and a Rogue. All played through all the way to the Golem's DLC, I love each and everyone of my Wardens, does that mean I can't love Hawke just as much or more? No it doesn't. Tons of games have characters fighting for years, sure. And some of them have characters that after that one epic journey settle down and enjoy life, What exactly is the point you're trying to make? As for a link, to be completely honest I'm not quite sure where I heard it, all I know is that it was official, if you'd like to prove me wrong, get YOUR link that states it only lasted for a year, because I'm almost positive it lasted for only 2 years, excluding Awakening and the two DLC's that Feature your Warden.


As I stated before, I love my Warden, but I'll have no problem playing Hawke and making another amazing character for DA:2.


EDIT: Don't know what all that stuff under this is, it just appeared, tried editing a few times to get rid of it, if a mod can delete it, would be great...I have no idea what it is.

keep in my mind, I'm just about to play that dlc, so it might be a stupid question. I assume there is loot and stuff in GoA that I would like to play with in Witch hunt.

All the worthwhile loot from GoA gets automatically added to both Origins and Awakening once you've earned all three achievements you can get from it.....then you can import those Awakening/Origins saves into Witch Hunt and still have the GoA stuff.

Someone from Bioware confirmed that you can import from Golems. Just so you know...

The computer version is generally staying the same, but the console version is getting a much needed revamp. I'm not insulting you. I'm just disagreeing with your particular viewpoint that the Wardens tale is done. Or more specifically I'm disagreeing with the tone of your argument. That is you seemingly being of the opinion that everyone else should see it your way ( ie be happy that the Wardens tale is over ) and if they are not, out comes the tar brush ( in this case its name was "butthurt" )

I'm perfectly fine with your own view that its happy days ahead with Hawke, Warden RIP. Others feel differently, perhaps you can respect that difference of opinion and debate their points. Rather than talking about their ass.

Anyway, I was reasonably happy with Mass Effect, for the game it was. But in no way did I role play it in the way I role played the 'silent' Warden. And that is because the voice over  in ME detached the character from me. It wasn't my 'voice'. So Mass Effect for me became a game where I controlled the actions of the protagonist but was not in their shoes, so to speak.

And therein lies just one of the issues some of us have with the changes in DA 2.

I did buy a couple of the DLCs, but Awakening was a piece of trash.  EA is not getting any more of my cash.  I expect to be able to play what a pay for.  Not have at least 30% of the content simply broken and unplayable.  I enjoyed DAO but it was bug ridden.  The patches were bug ridden.  Awakening was not the greatest content wise, but also bordering on unplayable due to the severe bugs.  Some of the other DLC also had a bunch of bugs.  All I asking for is what I paid for which is playable content.  No more.  No less. 

I can tolerate a few bugs.  However, I'm not going to buy from a company - EA - that simply can't or won't put out a reasonably bug free product. 

EA needs to hear that people are tired of bug ridden product.  Period.  If all they get are a bunch of slobbering groupies who say they can't wait for the next bug ridden cesspool, that's exactly what you will get.  I for one am fed up with being ripped off.  And I do feel like I was ripped off due to all the bugs.  When you can't play content you paid for, you've been ripped off.  When the producer won't fix their clearly broken product, you've been ripped off. 

Again, I can tolerate a few bugs.  I won't tolerate a clearly broken product.  I won't support a company that takes my money and won't fix their broken product. 

I hope Witch Hunt is bug free and folks enjoy it.  However, I refuse to give EA any more of my hard earned cash.  They have lost a customer.  Period.    Maybe they will read this, maybe they won't, but if folks don't say anything, they then will assume quality doesn't matter.

I'm not insulting you. I'm just disagreeing with your particular viewpoint that the Wardens tale is done. Or more specifically I'm disagreeing with the tone of your argument. That is you seemingly being of the opinion that everyone else should see it your way ( ie be happy that the Wardens tale is over ) and if they are not, out comes the tar brush ( in this case its name was "butthurt" )

I'm perfectly fine with your own view that its happy days ahead with Hawke, Warden RIP. Others feel differently, perhaps you can respect that difference of opinion and debate their points. Rather than talking about their ass.

Anyway, I was reasonably happy with Mass Effect, for the game it was. But in no way did I role play it in the way I role played the 'silent' Warden. And that is because the voice over  in ME detached the character from me. It wasn't my 'voice'. So Mass Effect for me became a game where I controlled the actions of the protagonist but was not in their shoes, so to speak.

And therein lies just one of the issues some of us have with the changes in DA 2.

I think you may be taking the term 'butthurt' a little too seriously, lightend up. I'm not trying to talk about ANYONE's ass. It's just a phrase. Nothing else. Secondly, I loved my Warden and put myself in his boots plenty of times but in a single player game it'll never reach the point where it's actually you, where you're your character and the emotions you really would feel are an actual option in the game. It's a single player game, I'd much rather my character atleast show emotion, then be a blank face, and many of the big time game critics agree with such statements which is one of the major reasons they are doing it.

I do wanna know what happens, don't get me wrong... I just hope this interesting storyline won't be rushed... I Just know reaction will be negative after that one...



And if we do get more dlc, will those be seperate campaigns.... doesn't that kinda suck :/



Also I really want to see a sequence of my warden doing the calling or something to actually end his storyline....

I've read most interviews and seen the big article in last months Game Informer on it, Havn't heard anywhere it's only 20-30 hours. =/ So unless you heard it from somewhere very unsignifgant I'm going to have to call BS. And even if you're right, 30 Hours > 3 Hour DLC.

You merely need only make a single Warden as your main character, unless you are making a bunch of different "what-if" stories. It doesn't bother me that you believe about Hawke, I wouldn't mind him myself, but the way at which you are passionate that a short amount of time is enough for my own personal Warden is a ridiculous claim. As mentioned before, there are several games I listed in which the hero spends much of his/her life devoting oneself to the cause of making his/her world a more tangible and enjoyable place to live. If it is indeed possible to at least give my Warden a relatively minor role, I would revel in the idea of having him assist Hawke in his own adventures. Think of it as an outlandish idea? Onimusha Dawn of Dreams disagrees.

As I stated before, I love my Warden, but I'll have no problem playing Hawke and making another amazing character for DA:2.

I interpreted a different tune from your last message, but perhaps maybe you indeed love your Warden.
