I'm playing Origins in DiD (Dead is Dead) mode, so whether I make it all the way through in time for Witch Hunt without having to do another restart remains to be seen. Also, whenever one of my companions get's killed I remove them from the party. As such, I'll have to take extra care to ensure Moragan's survival so that she's involved in the end-game.

Looking forward to this DLC!

What happens if the Warden dies? Do you stop playing? I'm not familiar with DiD mode but it sounds fun!

She kills....by snoo-snoo!

Okay that sort of ending I'd be fine with!

The reason they are not releasing any more expansions or DLC is not because Morrigan doesn't deserve it, it's because they are too busy with DA2.

Indeed... it's sad, isn't it. I'd prefer it if they'd waited a year before producing DA2 and finished Origins with an amazing Morrigan expansion. Such is life I suppose. I'd have paid through the nose too.

If the Warden (me) dies or is knocked unconscious, I start over from the beginning (new game). This introduces an element of "realism" to the game, and makes you "look before you leap". Resorting to a savegame because of making a "mistake" is not an option.

I'm slightly confused by the end of your thought process there.
If you kick Morrigan out of your party manually she'll still come back for the end of the game, I believe.
Therefore, you'd either need to accept that Morri "got better" or you'll need to consider Morri dying a restart-required decision because the game is now "broken".

I just hope we didn´t miss anything important becuase of this. Cosidering a DLC was a What if ...? I would say no, but BW has made some odd choices the last few years.

That might actually be true. The epilogue in Awakening does say that the warden vanishes for unknown reasons, but according to the epilogue that happens first after a few years. I hope the reason for the disappearence is not because the warden is simply dead. For me that would be a terrible ending: to survive the Archdeamon and countless other monsters only to die in obscurity at the hand of Morrigan. Morrigan was though quite insanely powerfull by the end of the game, truly a machine of mass-murder. Who would win in a dirrect fair (non-scripted) confruntation I wonder? ^_^

I'm quite prepare for that, and I have one last Gambit to pull off if she does.

The Gambit? Operation: Flemeth Save my A**

I figure death of the Warden is likely... I don't like it one bit, but how will Morrigan stay with the Warden to pursue their love for each other if Morrigan is still needed for DA2?

I'm just hoping that they suprise us for the better.

The epilogue in Awakening I got for my Warden has her adventuring w/ Leliana still. She and Leli were spotted in Denerum a year after the blight, about when this DLC takes place.   Doesn't say
anything about disapearing, just that she never went back to the Keep.

As for who would win in a fight, in my playthrough I made Morrigan a bloodmage, so that would give her quite an advantage.  Still a Grey Warden Battlemage would probably be able to kick her butt back into the Wilds.

Indeed, plus the Warden dying in a DLC.....that's not cricket ! And though Morrigan may have been insanely powerful, she was certainly not as powerful as my Warden. Although the Gauntlet skirmish earlier in the game was hilariously challenging the first few times.

For my Warden, I'll quote Oghren here:

"Funny story: dwarf attacks mage. Dwarf wins."

I'm hoping maybe they release a trailer like they have for all the other DLC tomorrow (Tuesday), seeing as that would be one week prior to release.

Oh and if they mess up or have this DLC anything less than stellar, I'll have one person to blame and one thing to say.....

Dunno if this has been adressed yet but I was hoping someone from bioware could anserwer this. If I load from Awakening will my 3rd specialization be present? Personally I really enjoy being a spirit warrior and it'd be nice to have that in Witch Hunt. Again if this has been already addressed I appollogize. Any help would be apprechiated though.

Bioware... please... pleeeease dont mess this one up! You have had some pretty lackluster dlc's... Leiliana's story was great until that horrible crappy ending... please dont do that to Morrigan! (I realize u all have already made it but saying it makes me feel better)

You didn't like the ending of Leliana's Song? How would you want it to end?
I agree however, they better now screw this up. The Warden deserves a great ending...

She confronted Marjolane and said... what? anything you remember? did Marjolane say anything really memorable? It was kinda like they didnt really end it at all. You didnt hear Leiliana say how she felt or tell Marjolane... ANYTHING. it just... ended. It was a great game, but I would have liked Marjolane to have ran away or evaded Leiliena or for them to agree to work things out and then Marjolane dips out in the middle of the night... something to explain why Marjolane doesnt come looking to kill her immediately and why Leiliena doesnt kill Marjolane

Morrigan is awesome, but they better say something about Hawke or atleast something to reference DA:2 or this will be a very wasted chance in Biowares part. This is their chance to hype up DA:2 big time.

They have the Strider, who will make an appearance in DA 2
We want this DLC for Origins not Hawke, who they've been trying to shove down our throats. Heck, due to Hawke, the year of DLC we were told about will not happen. Although whether that's a good thing or not.....

I will sorely miss my Warden... Hawke might be fun and all, but the DA:O story was quite personal.

Agreed. Minus one year of DLC is horrifying enough, but literally telling our Warden to "go **** himself" by replacing his spotlight with that of Hawke's, who I assure everyone will have his chance to become a legend, is a horrible no-show approach at this climatic ending.
