If Morrigan gets "killed", I consider she is seriously injured, and out of action until she decides to appear in the end-game. Furthermore, if a companion is killed (or knocked unconcious), I have the added burden of taking the injured back to camp regardless where I am or what I am doing. Granted it's all make-believe, but playing this way helps me enjoy the game more.Rive Caedo wrote...
I'm slightly confused by the end of your thought process there.DhammaWings wrote...
I'm playing Origins in DiD (Dead is Dead) mode, so whether I make it all the way through in time for Witch Hunt without having to do another restart remains to be seen. Also, whenever one of my companions get's killed I remove them from the party. As such, I'll have to take extra care to ensure Moragan's survival so that she's involved in the end-game.
Looking forward to this DLC!
If you kick Morrigan out of your party manually she'll still come back for the end of the game, I believe.
Therefore, you'd either need to accept that Morri "got better" or you'll need to consider Morri dying a restart-required decision because the game is now "broken".

From what I read somewhere (I could be wrong), they will allow you to import your Warden into DA2...? Although I have no idea how that will affect the story or the gameplay. If they plan on allowing us to import our Warden, then it's very unlikely our Wardens die. Not that I would mind playing as Hawke (Hawke is going to be a woman when I get DA2).

I would guess you import the political situation you left in Ferelden and get "mails" as DA2 progresses of how Ferelden is going. But they claimed that wasn´t possible in Awakening and used the US retcon instead. Also a possible cameo in Lothering.

They need more then that, this is their time to add some plot-twists into DA:2. They've already stated they want to add Morrigan's story into DA:2, so...I'm assuming this isn't going to end well at all. =P Or else why would her story have any need to continue, which is exactly what they need to do, Last DLC=Time to Hype up their full console release, and I love the DLC's and everything, but yeah....1 hour and 30 minutes worth of content every month/two months pales in comparison to a full length feature game. So I'm completely fine with DLC stopping early if that means more work on DA:2.
Funnt that, because the flip side to that argument is that given how quickly DA 2 is being pushed onto the market after Origins, ( just over 1 year ) there is a perfectly valid point that rather than more work on DA 2 taking place as a result of curtailing Origins DLC's early, there has in fact, been less work done.
And guess what..yes, the game will be much shorter.

Agreed. Minus one year of DLC is horrifying enough, but literally telling our Warden to "go **** himself" by replacing his spotlight with that of Hawke's, who I assure everyone will have his chance to become a legend, is a horrible no-show approach at this climatic ending.
Minus one year of DLC's but getting a full length game...Yeah, the latter is much better. And the Warden has HAD the spotlight for an entire game, expansion and multiple DLC's. How much spotlight does someone really need? This is something that shouldn't JUST be about the Warden or JUST about Hawke, they should make this good enough to where after the end of this DLC, it'll have you(the person in general finishing the DLC) completely intereasted within DA:2, thats smart marketing, aswell as smart storytelling. Anyone who'd disagree isn't looking at the bigger picture and really is a little 'too' attached to their warden. I love my Warden too, but hell, I'ma love to see some epic storyline unfold right into DA:2.
A DLC is hardly suited to an epic cross over tale, so within a limited 2 hour tale there is just not the time to tell the kind of story you would like to see. Arguably as well, those who suggest that people are "too attached" to their Warden and want DA 2 stuff right now are a]impatient and b]seem a little too much like blind Hawke shippers.
Sure, a full game is better than a DLC but whether it comes on March 11th next year or had it been a year later than that, the full game will finally arrive, no doubt about that. So dismissing Origins DLC's on the basis of that argument is redundant, other than making the complanee seem like a restless teenager.
( and one of the primary agruments against Hawke/DA 2 as now presented is that it does seem to have been rushed and therefore truncated to cater to exactly those impatient people. Thus by Origins standards, DA 2 will be much shorter. )

Will we be able to import an Orlesian?

How or why can you import your Warden if DA:2 does not include you playing as your Warden? It makes no sense...unless the DA:2 storyline incorporates your Warden as an NPC in their current role in Ferelden (as in the HN Origin) into it and Hawke has some interactions with them. Now that angle would be VERY interesting to say the least and would definitely make me want to play it but sadly I doubt we will see a storyline this creative and interesting.

Its reportedly about the length of
ME2 which given the increased cost by making it fully voiced is probably
all that could have been expected and quite frankly there are some
grindy areas in DAO that could have been shorter without lessening the
game.

Well, it was a good 2 year run of DLC for Origins. It had to end sometime, right?

Yeah....except it was about a 10 month run of DLC. Only about 14 months short, close enough, right?<_<
