Hmmm... I just wonder whats they will do wit the Ultimate sacrifice?

Play as an Orlesian Warden (either the new warden, or import one you played with in Awakening or Golems) and you'll probably find out how they handle that.  Just a best guess there.

What if you refused the Dark ritual, then let Alistair or Loghain die? I wonder if it will make any difference in the dialog. Posted Image
The 7th is so far away, its like christmas all over again.

When your excited about something a day seems like a week, remember christmas eve when you were a child? like that

Nah, I think the one is going to be hosted on Microsofts servers. Most (if not all) of the $DLC can be downloaded outside of the game, which I think will be the case here.

why would they add a mabari and NOT have it be you mabari that makes 0 sense whatsoever - I mean the developers said one of the reason that dog wasn't in awakenings was that his animations aren't cheap or some such thing -

I'd like to see your source on *that*.  "Animations aren't cheap"...now *that* makes no sense, since the models and animations were already done for Origins.  The only reason I can see why Dog wasn't in Awakening was that the devs had made a conscious choice to bring back...Oghren and only Oghren.  Ugh.

so if they decided to put him in what would possibly be gained by not making him your mabari -

It's entirely possible to get through Origins without a Dog.  If Dog is going to *definitely* be the fourth party member in this DLC, then there needs to be a way to acquire a Dog...which means that there's no inherent reason why it's necessary to bring back "Origins Dog v1.0".  Not to mention the possibility that someone did the US ending in Origins, and is playing this DLC with an Orlesian Warden from Awakening...so there *has* to be a way to acquire a new Dog.  Yes, I'm hoping (as I said above, if you'd been paying attention and actually reading the thread) that I hope it's "my Dog" coming back.  I just don't assume or expect it.

not to mention that in the description of dog on the witch hunt page they reiterate that Mabari bond with their masters for life - again not having it be your dog would be foolish

That description of Dog on the Witch Hunt character page is the original, canonical, generic description of Mabari hounds.  That's not exactly a stellar basis to use for saying that "not having it be your dog would be foolish".

Again:  Hope it's my damn dog coming back, with abilities for a level 34 Mabari (and not just "add 30 points to attributes).  Not assuming it, nor expecting, it, though.

lol. . .I feel your pain, but take solace in the fact that  it's a bioware dlc.   ALL the dlc for this game has been uninspired, disappointing and really not worthy of the original game.  It's pretty clear bioware has stopped caring a long time ago.

Actually, if you made the Wardern said at the end of Origins that he is going after Morrigan, at Awakening's epilogue is stated that he vanished one year after the Blight's end.

Because it's bugged. Speaking to Morrigan anytime during the Final Battle negates the romance in Awakening. Common fix is to speak with her to nab the "sorrow and regret" epilogue, and then hand her the Golden Mirror during a post-coronation save to reactivate the romance.

This BUG still doesn't appear to have been addressed. It's both ridiculous and stupid that it hasn't been acknowledged with the arrival of the Witch Hunt DLC only days away.

So how exactly does this bug work? If you have a romance with Morrigan, then speak to her during the final battle, which does or does not have to happen? Considering everyone speaks to you... So you speak to her in the final battle and the bug says that you weren't ever in romance? And this is proved because the romance awakening slide does not happen?
I'm playing through a romance morrigan now, because I want to see how Witch Hunt will change, and i got the mirror ready to re-initiate the romance... I'm just wondering the details. So no matter what, if you romanced Morrigan, you should get a epilogue in awakening claiming you went in search for her? Is that the deal?

Now, what if in talking to Morrigan during the final battle actually is suppose to keep you from getting the Awakening Epilogue..? Maybe you shouldn't talk with her... maybe it's planned that if you do get the Ring Origin Epilogue, that you will not get the Awakening Epilogue... Just a thought... but it's probably a bug... I guess, but strange they haven't tried to fix that...

The bug works like this:

Before the final battle, if you talk to Morrigan her approval will drop from love to "frendly" and thus you will not hear any references in the Awakening epilogue. One way to solve this is to keep the Golden Mirror gift and give it to her AFTER the end-game credits when you are back in the camp. This should restart the romance and you can import that save into Awakening.

However, there is a mod on the dragonage nexus which fixes most if not all problems with Morrigan's relationship(including her refusal to teach you shapeshifting). I suggest you jump on the site and download it.

http://www.dragonage...ile.php?id=1120

Also, keep in mind you need to load a save BEFORE the "I want to talk to you about last night" conversation in Denerim.

I for one never bothered to replay Origins+Awakening with the character im going to use for the Witch Hunt DLC. Got the "Warden returns to the court to rule, but vanishes after a while" ending.

A Bioware response on the matter would be most welcomed. If we didn't get the Morrigan Epilogue in Awakening how does it impact our relationship with her in Witch Hunt?

Ah, I remember that on one of my first play through... I just assumed that it went from love to friendly on purpose... Maybe at the time, they just were never planning on it creating a problem, but another thing is this... we don't really know yet if this will or will not effect Witch Hunt.

Hmm, interesting trailer, I wonder what role will that mirror have... perhaps it is a portal of a sort which is used by the Magister Lords to physically enter the Black City, I know I'd love to take a look around there.

ive been thinking alot on this DLC maybe Morrigan is going to use the spirit of the old God to re summon Flemeth as your warden has killed Flemeth and Bioware have said Flemeth is back in Da2 and even though Morrigan makes you believe killing Flemeth is what you need to do to save her she still decides to leave you at the end of Da:o.

just some thoughts :)

Spoiler...

You don't have to kill flemeth... therefore it wouldn't be main plot for all who import.

True, but in every game there are bugs. I just think that if you killed Flemeth, then they'll probably make some story about her not dying like they did with the Warden that *SPOILER* sacrificed himself at the end of DA:O can import their Warden into Awakening.

Except that Warden is not really our Warden but a new, Orlesian one. If you make the sacrifice, you're dead.

As for Flemeth, I'm pretty sure that even if you choose to fight her she is not really defeated, as she seems to appear in DA 2.

She appears in Lothering and asks Hawke to deliver something somewhere. No matter what you do, your Warden just can't kill Flemeth BEFORE Lothering: he/she has to go to the Circle Tower first and do the Broken Circle quest. While Flemeth may do whatever she does in DAII.
In other words: Flemeth's being in DAII doesn't mean anything. She may still be killed afterwards by a Warden. We just don't have enough info to make conclusions about how dead is Flemeth if the Warden had killed her.

Edit: and back to the topic, oh please let it be the mabari from Origins!!! *_* As for Orlesian Warden - he/she could get the one from Vigil's Keep basement.

As i understand in trailer are said that mirror can find other people even if its broken. So i think warden could use it to find Morigan, especialy if there'll be rumors about her. About dog i think that he is added not becouse he wasn't in Awakening. Dog can be like tracker to help find Morigan.

P.S In trailer are said that one elf dissapears and others dies encoutering mirror , i tkink that could change if you are playing as Danish warden (like me)(unless somehow its diferend mirror or Bioware have in mind other elves (which is hardly are true, i think).

Well, the problem was that if you spoke with Morrigan "about last night" after the goodbyes at the gates of Denerim, the "romance active" flag got switched off causing Morrigan to go to "friendly" status but it also set the "Morrigan_still_in_love" flag, which triggers the "sorrow and regret" ending for Origins. Problem with Awakening was that it in determining if you would get the Morrigan epiologue slide, it only read Morrigan's "romance active" flag and ignored the "still_in_love" flag- so if you got the "sorrow and regret" epilogue in Origins (unless you use mods/console or the mirror trick) you couldn't completely romance Morrigan in Origins and get her epilogue in Awakening.

That said, Fernando Melo did respond to this after I PM'd him a couple times. Here is his response in this thread:

Fernando Melo wrote...

Speaking with the designers for WH, amongst many other choices, it will recognize and respond to both of  the romance active and still in love flags. I believe the issue with  Awakening was that it only responded to one of those, so you could get  into a bit of a catch-22 where you either missed a part of the Origins  epilogue, or the Awakening one depending on how you ended things in  Origins.

So it seems Witch Hunt should be all set in recognizing the Morrigan romance if you have either the romance active flag or the still in love flag. So hopefully we have nothing to worry about!:wizard:

This might be a stubid question but I was wondering, are there going to be any other expansions for the Origins? There will be no more DLC-s but what about one more expansion or something like that for Origins? =)

And if there are any grammar mistakes or so then I' m sorry, because English isn't my national language =D

No- Priestly mentioned earlier in this thread that Witch Hunt is the last piece of new content (DLC or expansion pack) they have planned for Origins.:(
