But I'm so tempted gahhhh. I want to know but I know it will be all the sweeter when I play it. I do know

(Spoiler)
that Morrigan leaves at the end and you can't follow her
(End Spoiler)

Is that the only spoiler I only got it by highlighting Brockolloys post but to be hoenst I didn't expect anything different from Bioware so thats not a major surprise just dissapointing.

Gaaahhh the suspense :/

Whoa whoa... why would you reveal what someone else hid on purpose? You are a bad person. May you forever be known to be that guy that did that thing to those people regarding that stuff that they like.

Well go edit it. Remove it. Something, don't just let it sit there like its a carton of milk that fell on the kitchen floor for someone to slip on.

I personally cannot wait to get this DLC! I'm sure I'm not the only one who has been wondering a great deal exactly where Morrigan went and what happened to her. I always felt bad that she just left so abruptly in the end, but that also added to the drama of the game. And might I say, this game was a masterpiece.

I'm with you there :)! I just finished my main Morrigan-romance playthrough for Awakening (so I could get Awakening's romance monologue, since I didn't know about the mirror trick beforehand), so I'm just waiting until the 7th, and when I download it, this will be the first playthrough I use. I'm anxious to see how the romance figures into Morrigan's parts in this DLC.

I'm unclear on something here. Maybe someone can help me out.

I keep reading posts like those above in which people talk about some kind of presence of Morrigan in Awakening. The only time I've seen Morrigan other than in the OC was in "Return to Ostagar". Is there some scenario in which she was in Awakening? Or am I misunderstanding what people are writing?

When I played Awakening she was nowhere to be seen, though at the end, after killing the Broodmother, there was a closing card saying the Warden continued his search for "the raven-haired sorceress", or something to that effect.

Were some people able to play a version of Awakening (not Return to Ostagar) in which Morrigan appeared?

Personally I don't recall a moment in the Awakening campaign where Morrigan was mentioned or even hinted at. Given my personal outcome in the closing moments of the Origins campaign, I'm not sure if that had something to do with it. I just assumed that because she asked me to not look for her (and I didn't) the Awakening chapter would not include her character in any way.

DLC idea is excellent. However the ending (form GameSpot) sounds NOTHING like what the LAST DA:O should be like IMO. First off since this is actually the last DLC for DA:O should we not be able to say some type of good-bye to at least some of our party members? Your king or queen? Your love interest. Characters that hung with you through thick and thin deservre a better send off than this IMO.

DA:O is one the best game that I ever played but it also has perhaps some of the weakness DLC that I have played. A true shame for such a classic. Looking so much more forward to Lair of the Shadow Broker than I am Witch Hunt.

How the DLC should end...

The Warden finds Morrigan's camp,
he/she sits by the camp fire,
Morrigan appears out of her tent and makes a nice cup of tea for the Warden,
They sit by the fire and reminisce 'bout the old days,
The credits start as the camera slowly zooms from the camp!

mmmm...I actually don't think Morrigan is in DA2. She may be referenced or given a cameo, but in the live stream yesterday, Gaider said there was no Claudia Black VO in DA2. So... yeah. I'm guessing we have to wait until DA3 for any more Morrigan news. Meh.

@Zeropium Morrigan is mentioned in Awakening if you did a romance with her and the romance flag was still set in Awakening. The epilogue card in Awakening mentions the Warden heading to Orlais to chase after the "dark-haired sorceress who accompanied him."

And couldn't help myself, I read some of the spoiler-esque comments (no way I'm reading the actual articles) about Witch Hunt, and while I'm deeply concerned, I guess I'm still getting it. Part of me says these previews are somewhat BS, because it doesn't make a lot of sense to me how any game company could allow a game site to spoil everything... something doesn't seem right about the situation. I'm withholding judgement until I play it, but my expectations are once again, and probably will remain, neutral.

Gah I hate you Gamespot! I hate you!

Speaking of witch (pun intended), does anyone else have a slightly "meh" feeling instead of the huge initial hype after reading the article?

Yeah I feel Meh as well. I mean from the looks of it its not going to be as epic or conclusive as we thought.

I just hope its not a damn cliffhanger again. That would be a poor choice for a DLC which many named "a conclusion".

Also I would hate if my warden gets the finger and a "yeah so buh bye dont follow meh!" line.

I reckon the whole plot is just Morrigan is looking for this elvish artifact to get more power to fight off flemeth, we see her, speak to her then she goes off. I really hope it isn't because that's just so...well dull. which is a shame given how something that shouldv'e ended. And I doubt we'll see the baby, hell even just a cutscene with it in if you did the DR would be good. Some visual confirmation always beats the cryptic crap Morrigan spews out.
"Tis not so dark when the flemeth dawns. For as thou crow flies..."
"Oh shut the **** up, give me my child and stop running off. I mean you don't just up and leave your boyfriend who you...you know LOVED for a year just to find some crappy elven book to protect yourself against flemeth when all it took to kill/immobalise/knock her out in the first place was me and Sten."

Pfft

If Gamespot is right the best possible ending is almost exactly the one we already got in Origins? Either there´s more to it or DA devs took the lying policy from ME2. And there at least Liara seems to get fixed.

Anyone here had noOGB chold with Morrigan? The option should be different.

I have an overwhelming "Meh" feeling. Given my Wardens almost always romance Morrigan, this DLC simply seems like an extension of the Dark Ritual scene where we get zero meaningful answers and instead get smacked by the Plot Hammer with no closure on things while Morrigan runs off.....again. Its like a bad joke at this point.

Agreed. I think you perfectly summed up the plot for WH. And that makes this seem like a crummy cash grab at Morrigan fans more than anything if we leave the DLC pretty much the same spot where we started.

I'm about 99.99% sure we won't see the baby and to boot it gets a slight reference. I just don't understand why she wouldn't have a 3-4 month old baby with her? Especially an Old God Baby thats supposedly the most important in thing in Thedas to her? What, does Morrigan have a baby sitter lined up?

And the thing that bugs me most is that it doesn't seem this ends with much closure but rather sets things up for future stuff. But chances are we won't see any continuation of the Morrigan plot in any meaningful way until 2013 or beyond whenever DA3 comes out... unless BioWare decides to milk Morrigan's story some more...

Honestly we don't know how important the OGB is to Morrigan's overall plan.
It couild be central to it as you say or it could be just one part of a larger puzzle.

As for the review itself, I'll withhold judgement until I've had a chance to play the game itself. It wouldn't be the first time that gamespot said something bad when the truth is the exact opposite.

I don't expect to see Morrigan and the Warden remain together and live happily ever after, but if you can get a proper acknoledgement of our romance and Morrigan saying she loves the Warden and wants to continue their relationship, then I'll be happy.

Right now we don't know how the conversation between Morri and the Warden went down in regards to their relationship and tha information is what could make or break this DLC for me.

EDIT:

Luckily, Shadow Broker is out on the same day, so even if Witch Hunt turns out to be a disappointment I can still look forward to that. ME team sure knows how to create good DLC content that makes the fans happy (I?m looking at you Overlord):

A bit silly if the warden wouldn't be around in DA3... if he is then this would ofc make perfect sense, but otherwise it would make more sense if the warden goes with her and for example dies somehow while helping her.
