As for the review itself, I'll withhold judgement until I've had a chance to play the game itself. It wouldn't be the first time that gamespot said something bad when the truth is the exact opposite.

Luckily, Shadow Broker is out on the same day, so even if Witc Hunt turns out to be a disappointment I can still look forward to that. ME team sure knows how to create good DLC content that makes the fans happy (I?m looking at you Overlord):

I totally agree with the Shadow Broker DLC. It seems awesome and Overlord was good as well.

As for Witch Hunt, lets hope you're right, otherwise I have a 100 pics collection of facepalm.jpg's waiting to unleash hell on teh forumz!!!....well not really...more 50 or so Posted Image

I think that Bioware can be counted on to provide quality game content on a consistent basis, so I am looking forward to a very busy day Tuesday.

Uh well I put a spoiler tag before hand you know the big thing saying (Spoiler). That shouldv'e given it away there was a spoiler so don't **** to me because you were too dumb to take that into account :P.

Go back and edit your post - it isn't hidden in a spoiler tag, it's in clear text !!!!!!!!!!!!

Learn the proper BB code for spoiler tags and check if this sub-forum allows spoilers - not all sections of this forum let you use them. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That was once true, but is it still? If you look at the previous DLC for Dragon Age one can wonder about the quality.

I dunno I was looking forward to more DLC... There is just a lot of content to be fleshed out ... I was hoping to eventually even have prequel DLC content involving a much younger Wynne or other subcharacters.. IMO I think that the game has not reached it's max potential but I know how important it is to 'wrap up' the warden-verse before Hawke arrives...

I saw 'FINAL CONCLUSION' and was like 'What?!! That's IT?!'

I personally was not a Morri 'fan' (I love Claudia Black and Morri is very much in tune with the characters she gravitates to and as much as I like Morri I was hoping for Alstair instead but at least I get DOG making a cameo in this FINAL DLC... Bioware you make me all sad face inside... =P)

Eh...BioWare may create quality full fledged games, but their DLC, at least for DAO has been sorely lacking in the quality department....

Nobody has played the DLC yet but already people are slagging it off - Wouldn't it be better to play it first before passing comment. For $7 (less than £5 in real money), what are you expecting - War and Peace. Get real people apart from minor glitches DA:O has been one of the best console games ever. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DAO was a great game, its DLC's were less than great... I'm also not talking about the length of the DLC's but of their overall quality, most were nothing more than dungeon crawls and had very little to no story. For many of us story is key in this game.

EDIT: Also for the same amount of money, Mass Effect 2 has been releasing DLC's that were of much higher quality...

I disagree. Overlord for mass effect 2 has been one of the best DLC's i've ever played. Great atmosphere, decent story and great ending.

Even after reading previews... It would not be fair to Bioware to complain about a DLC that you have not played through. However, once you buy and play through it, you can complain to your hearts desire.

I've enjoyed all the DLC for DA:O.

Awakening as a full expansion cost a lot more but that was respected in length and quality. The DLC cost peanuts to buy so I never expected the same in terms of quality and content, £5 or $7 gives you what you pay for. I tried ME and ME2, didn't like either, couldn't be bothered to finish the games and sold them as PX for stuff I did want, so I've never been interested in their DLC.

Did you think you'd get that for $7/£5?

I'd quite happily pay £25 for another expansion pack that tied up all the loose ends to the DA:O storyline.

I wanted a full sequel, with Morrigan. Instead we got "Hawke"

F*ck Hawke I dont give a sh*t about him, the only reason I might still buy DA2 is because of Flemeth!

I hope we get a DA3 if DA2 flops, and that BioWare go back to what matters, story and characters.

Sorry, my rage overcame my reason for a moment there.

We'll see how it goes.

People hoped that we'd maybe have one more full expansion before DA2 came out. An expansion that in addition to dealing with Morrigan, would tie up other loose ends from Origins and gave closure to the Warden's story so that we could all move on to Hawke. Instead we get a $7 DLC in Witch Hunt which seemingly doesn't really resolve much and simply adds more questions than it answers. Thats not what people wanted- we already had that in the Dark Ritual scene.

Its not a question of money either- as has been said above, ME2's DLC has been character and story driven with brand new characters and levels that match the quality of the base game. Some of DAO's DLC has been ok, but IMO, hardly any of it has matched the quality of Origins.

I'll be getting Witch Hunt on Tuesday (those BioWare points aren't going anywhere) and I hope it turns out better than that preview made it out to be, but given the lackluster quality of most of the prior DLC, my hopes are not that high.

And what makes you think DA2 won't meet that set of criteria?

I'm looking forward to DA2 and bonding with my Hawke in the same way that I've bonded with my warden.

If you do the math, the DLC is actually quite a bit more expensive than the Awakening expansion in terms of costs / gameplay. for 25 euros DLC you get around 10 hrs of gameplay, whereas Awakening gave you 15 hrs, same price.

Tell that to Gamespot- even with the spoiler warning on the preview it absolutely boggles my mind how BioWare would let that writer spoil the whole DLC in a  preview in which the big catch is uncovering Morrigan's secrets. Unless there is alot more missing from that preview, I'm really dumbfounded as to why BioWare would let Gamespot spoil the whole DLC days before release.

Seriously, spoilers are not allowed here. Stop posting specific things that people might want to find out for themselves.
