Yes, Witch Hunt is the final DLC for Dragon Age: Origins, and imo a great send off to an awesome game.
What happened to "2 years..."? Dragon Age 2.
Thanks for the quick (but disappointing!) response.
Of course, I'll be getting this DLC and DA2, as well. I'm hooked and there's no way I'm turning my back on Bioware at this point! I'm hoping this DLC will be good, and I'm certain I'll enjoy DA2.
But I do wish you guys wouldn't make statements like that thing about 2 years of DLCs/expansions for Origins, if you aren't going to follow through. Way back in the dark ages of online gaming, I used to do customer service, and rule #1 was do not EVER announce something to players that you are not prepared to give them ... unless you have your flameproof armor ready.
I'm also curious as to why you chose to give us chances to revisit Ohgren, Leliana and Morrigan, but not the other companions? Didn't you think their stories were worth wrapping up?

This will no doubt be a 1-2 hour mission with a whole new squad to finish off loose ends just for the sake of finishing them. I guess it's all about DA2 now.

"One last thread hangs in the saga of the Grey Warden, Hero of Ferelden. Uncover the secret carried by Morrigan and the plans she hides in Witch Hunt, the final DLC for Dragon Age: Origins!"
Final DLC? Really? No going with partying with Zevren and the Crows? No thrilling journey to Weisshaupt (with Alistair or Loghain if you all survived)? I really had been hoping for more companion specific DLC ::sad pandas::

@the edge: Of course there's going to be substantial interaction if you've romanced her, that appears to be arguably the biggest selling point of this entire DLC, old god baby and lost love, etcetera etcetera. This is the last time we'll see her character (most likely)...so yeah, there've got to be.
I just don't want another "your leaving?! WHA!?!?!" moment.

Now, can we safely assume that this DLC will account for the various Morrigan-related import choices? That is, your relationship level (romance, friendship, hatred), the outcome of Flemeth, and (of course) whether or not the Dark Ritual was performed?

Does this mean you will stop churning out DLC and actually fix the game? Or has all hope for that passed in favor of DA2?

Uh, what happened to the two years of DLC we were promised? That's incredibly disappointing, although I'm very pleased that we'll finally get a DLC with our companions.
Why no DLC with Alistair? I am so disappointed with Bioware I rarely even bother with these forums any longer. He was one of the most popular companions by far and a major LI for Female Wardens. I was truly hoping for a DLC that would include a post-coronaton/marriage storyline with the Fem PC and Alistair. I am just nauseated with all of this at this point.

Huh.
Well.
No offense, but we were promised two years of DLC for Origins. Not less than a year and then a sequel. I'm trying not to sound all self-righteous and entitled, but...well...I'm fairly sure that we were promised two years even after DA2 was announced.
If it makes you feel better, think of DA2 as a large expansion pack or a REALLY HUGE DLC.
(yes, this is from someone who is still extremely worried about DA2... but this last DLC has me smiling.)

It's amazing how Morrigan and Liara are out the same day. BioWare, you guys are terrifically awesome!
I agree. September 7th is going to be an awesome day!

Well...I think you'll agree that the DLC quality has been, somewhat...lacking. So if BW is not able to dedicate enough attention and manpower to create a worthy DLC that will treat the characters we remember with respect, perhaps they should focus wholly on creating something worthwhile with the resources given, i.e. DA2.

It just feels like this is the conclusion the story of men who romanced Morrigan.
Consider this:
If you're looking on this only from the romance perspective, out of all the romances in Dragon Age Morrigan's is the only one you never get any personal closure on. Not even a little bit. I understand wanting more from Alistair, Zevran and Leliana but you do at least get something from them... whereas from Morrigan you get nothing (albeit for very good reasons).
So for those men who romanced Morrigan, you might want to cut them some slack.
That said, that's not the only reason to do this DLC-- I would think many people would be curious as to what the future holds regarding Morrigan. And, yes, it takes all the various ending states of Origins into account. And, yes, in case anyone's wondering I wrote the Morrigan part.
