I like the idea of the Morrigan DLC. Althought I wouldn't get the long storyline I wanted, I still would rather have this than nothing. Instead of having a short DLC, they should've made an expansion pack surrounding the Dark Ritual. I just hope they don't tear apart Morrigan's character, or make this DLC about combat. If they had this just be a 30 minute battle in the wilds, and a one or two hour storyline/dialogue, this would easily be my favorite DLC. BioWare, please don't ruin my favorite character!!!!

Yeah, just those two options. Or, you know, he dumps you, you become his mistress, he doesn't stay on the throne...What else is there to add to the Alistair/Zevran storyline? Your character either becomes queen, or Zevran stays with you no matter what... end of story.

Aww that is beyond awesome! I don't think they'll put just some random mabari in (unless it belongs to the mage). Our Dog will surely be glad to meet Morrigan again, after all, he is her not-so-secret admirer
And let's face it, Morrigan secretly loves Dog.

So, no two years of DLC--and no second expansion to deal with as large a storyline as Morrigan.... No background stories except for Leliana....
I can't help but wonder if this is a move to make everyone write off their warden and buy into DA2, when they could easily keep selling DLC.
I was thinking the exact same thing. I could of sworn they said two years worth of dlc several times. I hope it is at least several hours long, for such a built up event I was expecting something more like awakening. I wonder if this is just to get the dragon age origins warden out of the way and set up the morrigan and / or the dark ritual stoey threads for dragon age 2. Even if your character did not do the ritual they could easily have a new explanation of how she got the same results after the warden and archdemon died with some cop out new spell.
Still I would like to wrap up this story thread since I did the ritual I just hope its is decently long, resolves the story in a way that is consistent with our choices and fits with the original story.

Yeah, Darrah and Zeschuk both said multiple times only a couple months before Origins' release that it would have 2 years to 18 months worth of DLC. And now it seems Origins only gets about 10 months worth of DLC. And the reason? They're rushing out DA2.
I'm thrilled Morrigan's story is getting some closure with the Warden, but I think this plot and all the other loose ends from Origins should have been dealt with in an expack where other old companions returned- not the disconnected mess we had with Awakening.

For that matter it would of been nice to have an expansion that acknowledged our final choices of where we went or who traveled with us like having it opening with the main character getting a letter about what's up while he/she is off in stens country or traveling with zeveran. And if it was a big awakening expansion to reunite the characters that made sense from the original game (ones that were not in other countries or likely to be dead) and a few from awakening. It would be cool to have party comprised by the wardens and companions hand picked by your character for this or some other dangerous mission. Having a group with zeveran, the Howe (forgot his last name), dwarf or golem shale, anders or whoever else. but oh well lets hope for a fitting conclusion to the original games wardens story.

After the announcement debacle with Return to Ostagar, most of the DLCs have been announced 2 weeks or so out from the launch. I *hope* that BioWare has truly been working on this for a while though and its a proper send off for the Warden and all things Origins.

I'm positive it will be on par with the quality of Leliana's Song.

Although to be totally honest, I wouldn't mind if we could have the older companions even if they didn't had any meaningful lines.
I mean, I'm already excited about the idea of having Dog back and it's a safe bet that he won't have a lot to say in this DLC. Although if Dog really is brought back I'd love to have one more Morrigan-Dog exchange. I just loved those banters.
If something like this were to happen...
Morrigan: "And I see that not only did you come after me when I told you not to, you also brought back that flea-ridden beast!"
Dog: "*whines*"
Morrigan: "Ohhhh, I see you remain as manipulative as always. You won't get any more biscuits this time."
Dog: *sad eyes*
Morrigan: "Forget it you worthless furbag, I'm angry enough with this situation to deal with you. Off you go."
Dog: *gets close to Morrigan and walks between her legs"
Morrigan: "Ughhh, very well. Here have some bacon."
Dog: *woof*
Morrigan: "I can see why The Warden would bring you back."

But I totally would have paid more for some sort of finale DLC or expack that not only dealt with Morrigan but brought back some other old companions too.... Oh well, guess BioWare only wants my $7....

Besides the fact that if you play a female PC, Alistair or Loghain had to do the DR so they are an integral part of that story line, the epilogues often imply a mysterious disappearance which led most of us to believe something else was forthcoming.SOLID_EVEREST wrote...

And what is there really to add about the Morrigan story line when you put it that way? She leaves and tells you never to follow. End of story.

I wonder, if there had been no silly epilogue slides in Awakening (or if they didn't imply a mysterious disappearance, instead saying something concrete) would people (Alistair fans in particular) still be upset? If the Origins epilogue was the only ending we had, would people still be demanding closure?
Makes you wonder if allowing you to import the Warden to Awakening was actually a good thing in the long run. If you could only play it with an Orlesian, nobody would've been upset about "mysterious disappearances".

QFT. And much as I enjoyed Leliana's Song, I would happily pay multiple times more for Witch Hunt if it means getting a DLC that makes a serious effort to reflect the variety of possible world states.Carmen_Willow wrote...
I just hope it's good like Leliana's Song and not like the "Dwarves-gone-wild" hack and slash we just got.

They could have left it at "returning to court with Alistair grinning ear to ear" and I would have been perfectly happy. Why throw in the dissapearing?Zjarcal wrote...

Does this DLC assume you romanced Morrigan and did the ritual?
