I think the "or" implies that you could have had whatever relationship you wanted and still get closure.keesio74 wrote...

Does this DLC assume you romanced Morrigan and did the ritual?

I doubt it. It's too restrictive and she's not even bi.keesio74 wrote...

I wonder, if there had been no silly epilogue slides in Awakening (or if they didn't imply a mysterious disappearance, instead saying something concrete) would people (Alistair fans in particular) still be upset? If the Origins epilogue was the only ending we had, would people still be demanding closure?
Makes you wonder if allowing you to import the Warden to Awakening was actually a good thing in the long run. If you could only play it with an Orlesian, nobody would've been upset about "mysterious disappearances".
Yeah, I agree with you. It's just that Awakening epilogues implied this is not the last we hear of the Warden, so it made everyone think we're gonna have more adventures. Yeah, we got GoA and Witch Hunt but I think everyone hope for another, expansion, at least - and that's why they're disappointed.
However, if only epilogue slides were changed in Awakening, it wouldn't have provided enough closure I think - Awakening was way too abrupt. If the expansion on the whole felt more complete, then probably there'd be less frustration.

It shouldn't be that hard to account for all relationships. I mean, there were pretty much four options, right? Hostile, neutral, close friend, romance.
Yeah, I don't think it'd be that hard. Even when combined with the DR choice.
I wonder, what the game will assume if you create a new character? That you're an Orlesian Warden and just happened to hear something about a mysterious witch in the woods? Or that you're *the* Warden, so if you're male they'd assume romance, and if female, friendship? Or just neutral for both? Hmm.

It's the confirmed last DLC for DA:O?
I wonder if this means they might include all the DLCs into one DA:O game, like Fallout 3 Collector's Edition.

Maybe there's still hope for a future expansion... they did say this is the last DLC but not the last expansion right?

The Warden's tale is done... There is no way they will be able to continue him on to fit everyone's origins and everyone's appearance... His story will be told later, but he himself will probably die in this DLC. At least that's what I'm hoping for...
I hope we don't die in the end... but I agree with you that it is a very real possibility. I'm hoping that Morrigan can somewhat see the future like Flemeth can and foretell Hawke's rise to power and this can plausibly set the tone to pass the torch from the Warden to Hawke as the main hero/ine of the story.

That's not the kind of thing that's going to be an immediate concern a year post-Blight, especially if you're never in Denerim to try and have babies. Presumably, if the subject ever comes up they'll have a default probably-not-related-to-Alistair-or-Anora heir like one of Fergus' kids.Phedra wrote...
While this new download sounds interesting they are still many unresolved issues form DA:O. If you played a NF and married Alistair one of his concerns is an heir to the throne? How this going to be answered?

Not every question about DA:O has to be answered. There are many things that you could ponder on but don't necessarily have to be answered.
As for that particular question, it would be really easy for someone else to get the HNF pregnant and they can just say it's Alistair's baby.

While a case can be made for either Alistair or the HNF could conceive a with someone else; however I am not sure I am crazy about that option personally.
Call it a pet peeve if you will.

It's important to Eamon, not the nobles. They are just as happy with Anora on the throne.

I understand your pet peeve but there's nothing you can do about it. Two GW can't have kids, period.
