He might have lied you know... Saying that Claudia Black is voicing a character could lead people to realize that Morrigan is returning, and that he didn't want.AndrahilAdrian wrote...
In one of his PAX interviews, David Gaider said Claudia Black wouldn't be voicing any characters in Dragon Age 2. She might return later in the franchise, but don't hold your breath.
Goodbye Morrigan. The witch hunt is On! DA2 PRobably not!

Not very smart for the lead writer of a game to tell lies to its customers. Morrigan can still appear, she just won't talk. Maybe a cameo of her with your Warden, but that's it.
I can see clearly now.
Warden and Morrigan will be SHOPKEEPERS. And you will be able to Buy your own stuff.
Pure Genius.

For me...the whole Flemeth/godbaby/Morrigan/Warden/old companions should of been what DA2 was about. Is character continuation not important? or do Bioware seem to think that the world is what's important....I don't know about you guys but I bearly ever read the codex entrys unless they where about a certain party member.

Hawke: Morrigan! I've heard so much about you from the other Origins cameos! How are you?
Morrigan: ...
Hawke: O...K...so how is that God Baby I've heard so much about?
Morrigan: ...
Hawke: Woman of few words, eh? Well then, lets cut to the chase. Will you be returning as an actual character in future games?
Morrigan: ...
Hawke: You know what? F**k You!
you see my point?

I would be satified with something like that, but the problem is the budget wise and they aren't going to just do it for one character. I mean morrigan is some what important, but if you doing a save over from one game to another. The factors of the memory and the choice plus all the other information is huge. Its not something so easily done. Espically on the decisions you made in the DLC which are pretty drastic. I would at least hope Bioware if they were to have her in DA2 would have a Default opinion prepared for her if someone didn't have the DLC.

The biggest hurdle would be getting the Warden's look in, they don't exactly have to do that completely. They just get the origin story and design some cool Revan-like robes for his race to wear. Getting Morrigan in would be significantly easier.
Yeah, all they would have to is update the model to watever art style they already have I presume. If they had a cameo of the warden which I've discussed in the past should just have a small quick glimpse and move on. This way nothing is taken out.

Flemeth was one of my favorite characters from DA:O; sort of a more knowledgable, wittier, but uglier Morrigan; so here's hoping she has an expanded role in DA2. I mean, I liked Morrigan and all, even if her "romance" felt extremely clumsy and forced, but sometimes it's nice to have a strong female who's not going to conveniently turn into a barbie doll under your amazing charm with a prominent place in the story.
I'm sure we'll have plenty of arm-candy companions to fill that roll in DA2 (I can just imagine what it'll take to romance the wife of the husband/wife duo that looks to be two of your possible companions), so please give us a Flemeth that is intertwined heavily in DA2's story to sort of counter that.

Aye. The Witch Hunt left Morrigan's story wide open. She may appear when we least expect it.St. Victorious wrote...
The announcement says nothing about it being the end of Morrigan's story or if she'll be in DA2 or not. Her impact on anything beyond the Witch Hunt DLC is simply unknown right now.
