UPDATE 9:
It's been like ... a week! Since the last "update".
Moving on, here's our latest in stunning high definition.
Well, high webcam definition. Basically I go on about my DA2 costume *just so we're all clear, it will not be "pro" at all. I have little skill in the costume department*. Then Matt strolls in. Good enough for me!

UPDATE #8:
So, a while ago I said Matt and I would try and make a beard song.
Well, we kinda failed. The musical talent is lacking *well, Matt does play guitar and bass ... but never mind that*
I did finish writing the Beard Song; thing is, it's not very original.
The idea was to take the 30 Seconds to Mars trailer for DA:O and redo it ourselves, making it a DA2 trailer. That meant taking the song "This Is War" and changing it to something Beard related ...
It was a good idea, then we realized neither of us can sing nor record even if we wanted to.
But, if you are curious, here it is. "This is War" turned into "We Will Beard"

Actually, the design was completely unintentional, and a mistake. Apparently when you buy paint that says "looks like real blood!", it also comes out like real blood

So, Matt has tiny stubbles going on around his chin, but nothing to post a pic/video about.
We actually counted the days, and it turns out we actually have 6 MONTHS and 11 DAYS *give or take* to complete this! Less time guys!

We've decided to make this a contest - there WILL be a trophy! *We just have to buy/make one ...* So on March 8th, submit your pictures to me *or an e-mail I give out closer to that time* and Matt (my bother) and I will pick the winners

A Little About Us, and Why The Beard:
My name is Caitlin Lane. Like Lois Lane, but more epic because I'm real. My brother is Matt Lane, and he really doesn't wear shirts often. He's also crazy and scares me on a regular basis, but hey, that's actually rather normal in this world, no?
Anyway, I decided to do this for three reasons: 1) to show appreciation to these Bioware games in an epic way.
2) To make Matt uncomfortable *he's not allowed to shave, that's gonna get itchy, and I shall llaugh!*

WELCOME: In preparation for Dragon Age 2, I challenged my brother to grow a beard as magnificent as Hawke's. He has 6 months to complete this challenge. Can he do it?
The Plan:
To go from a pitiful, Alistair 5 o'clock shadow, goatee "thing", to a full out magnificent and champion-like Hawke beard.
