So, Matt has tiny stubbles going on around his chin, but nothing to post a pic/video about.

We actually counted the days, and it turns out we actually have 6 MONTHS and 11 DAYS *give or take* to complete this! Less time guys!
ALSO!!!
We've decided to make this a contest - there WILL be a trophy! *We just have to buy/make one ...* So on March 8th, submit your pictures to me *or an e-mail I give out closer to that time* and Matt (my bother) and I will pick the winners . We'll give trophies to the best Real and Fake beard *just so anyone can do it *

The prize was going to be Nutella, but I don't think I can FedEx food ...

I also want to take the time to thank everyone for supporting the thread and beards themselves! It makes me proud to see us all working towards an epic goal!

                                                           A Little About Us, and Why The Beard:
My name is Caitlin Lane. Like Lois Lane, but more epic because I'm real. My brother is Matt Lane, and he really doesn't wear shirts often.  He's also crazy and scares me on a regular basis, but hey, that's actually rather normal in this world, no?
Anyway, I decided to do this for three reasons: 1) to show appreciation to these Bioware games in an epic way. 
2) To make Matt uncomfortable *he's not allowed to shave, that's gonna get itchy, and I shall llaugh!* 
3) Beards are epic. They need love.
                                                                                

                                                                           FANEXPO!:

We also would like to know if anyone will be at FanExpo in Toronto this Saturday. Matt will be dawning a delightful Deadpool cosplay *that I have to make ... hmm* and would love to meet his fellow Beard-lovers. I will just be geeking out with my Alien shirt, Batman tie, and Spider-man hat. So if you see us, scream. We'll give you cookies *note to self, make cookies*
Also, at the expo, we will try and ask Adam West, William Shatner, Stan Lee, and Lance Henrikson *that guy from Aliens, voice of Admiral Hackett in Mass Effect* what they think of beards. We'll let you know the results

WELCOME: In preparation for Dragon Age 2, I challenged my brother to grow a beard as magnificent as Hawke's. He has 7 months to complete this challenge. Can he do it?

The Plan:
To go from a pitiful, Alistair 5 o'clock shadow, goatee "thing", to a full out magnificent and champion-like Hawke beard.


So Far:
August. 25/10


There's basically nothing to brag about. *Sorry for poor picture quality*

Every week or so, we will update the Beard's growth, unless there is no change.

Can he survive the challenge of not shaving until Dragon Age 2 is released? We shall see!

And to he also made a video:

I'm thinking about shaving hubby in his sleep on March 7.    If I get the razor that morning, his regular beard will be back in time for work the next day.

(That's actually not much of an exaggeration, hehe)
