I'm eagerly awaiting a full-package deal that contains the whole shebang so I can buy the whole thing at once, again! The time is definitely right for it in the next month or so.
Please, just for me? I'll be good. Er, well, less neutral.
There was evidence within the last month that a retailer was going to be selling an "Ultimate and Complete DA" set in October, IIRC. That combined with the DA2 announcement and the news from a forum poster that he'd heard the next DLC was about Morrigan (in the process of ordering/returning something DA from the BW store)...I was pretty sure that we'd hear soon about a Morrigan DLC that would be the final DA:O content. So this is not a huge shock.
MSRP for the compendium will probably be ~$60 based on what's currently being charged for the pieces parts.

To clear a few things up.
No new content for Dragon Age: Origins INCLUDES no new content for Dragon Age: Origins Awakening. Witch Hunt is the final new content for Dragon Age: Origins.
I know this is not what a lot of you wanted to hear, but I thought it better to let you all know so you can look forward to Witch Hunt and DA2 without holding hope for more DA:O.
And much is being said of "What about the promise of 2 years of DLC?" or "You broke your promise" or similar. We made this promise while we were finishing Dragon Age: Origins and were working on Dragon Age: Origins Awakening and DLC. We did not expect DA2 to come together so well or so quickly. We could have chosen to delay DA2 and continued to put out DA:O DLC, but we know how awesome DA2is going to be. The decision was made to continue making DLC all the way to Witch Hunt and then it would end as we ramped up for DA2. When we said "2 years of DLC" we said that in good faith, but when something as excellent as Dragon Age 2 comes along, it changes plans for the better.
While I understand this upsets a few of you, you still get awesome DLC like Darkspawn Chronicles, Golems of Amgarrak, and Witch Hunt, plus loads of excellent fan made adventures through the Dragon Age toolset and then have a brand new Dragon Age adventure to look forward to with Dragon Age 2.
Well at least it will only be six months wait time to DA2 after we get Witch Hunt. That's a pretty cool deal if you ask me.

There's a rumor of a Dragon Age:Origins - Ultimate Edition. It was posted on a game store site and then taken down. The listed release date was Oct. 12th, I think. It would include the original game, awakening and all the dlc.Mako Zalos wrote...
Wait what does that mean because I haven't bought the game yet but will be getting it around the holidays and I was wondering if there'd be a version with all the dlc incase I can't get the microsoft points needed to get all the dlc and awakening.

NO! The only way your getting more money out of me is if you bring out more DAO content.Chris Priestly wrote...
While you will not be able to use your points for surther DA:O DLC beyond Witch Hunt, I can say that your points do not expire, and can be used for other BioWare BioWare titles with DLC, such as Mass Effect 2 or, potentially, upcoming titles.
*Shakes fist*
"Mass Effect sucks!"

But Mr.Priestly it still is a kick in the face, I mean many of us fell in love with the story and characters in Origins. We created a character who we connected with. I would have been happy if you said this was the ending and with just Origins (I enjoyed the ending) but yall created Awkenings and left 'open endings' very very opening endings that left questions
So we get only this DLC when there still seems to be so much of Ferelden and the Wardens story that should be shared, and claiming this is the last DLC for the Origins story makes me feel like that a used car sales is more honest. But I am not saying how things should be ran but it really I mean I was really hoping that there would be a few more DLC's for Orgins. I am excited about DA2 but I guess I am one of the few people who can wait for it (and Hawke sexy a**) I just really want to explore more on the world of Origins before I explore the rest of Thedas with Hawke...

Also, I could even deal with the fact that there would be no more DLC for Origins but I would really really like to know what happened to my queen Cousland who disappeared alone after Awakening. Too many loose ends.

(No comparison to Baldurs Gate 2, but this was another time. ^^)
After my initial playthrough (about 78 hours) I was even a bit sad! It has been a great experience, like I had read an epic novel and I really wished to wipe everything from my head in order to experience it again. I didn't feel this way when Mass Effect 2 endet though.
DA 2 will be more like Mass Effect 2: Easier to play, faster, lighter and so on. More Michael Bay, less Peter Jackson.
I will definitely hold on tight to my DAO copy to replay it in the future. Last of it's kind...maybe...

Here's an idea that you can use Bioware: have a DLC with Alistair. Story: Alistair has been king for 10 years and bored with his kingly duties and is itching for one final adventure. He finds someone to take over for him, then he sends a messenger to deliver a message to you that he wants to be a Grey Warden one last time by going on one final adventure with you. Perhaps a new enemey emerges that threatens the Kingdom of Ferelden. Or perhaps some remnant of the Blight reemerges from hiding to threaten the peace. Either way, you both go on one final adventure together. Then at the end, perhaps he gets killed in battle and you have a huge funeral for King Alistair (like in the movie First Knight when King Arthur dies). And someone is chosen to be his sucessor--maybe the main character, or maybe he has a son. Think about it! I would also love to see a story about maybe how Sten redeems himslef and you travel to the Qunari homelands. Or Loghain redeems his family's honor and becomes a great hero for the people of Ferelden. Or Ogren reunites with his family and you travel to the dwarven city. Or Wynne becomes a leader of the Circle of Magi and sacrifices herself for the greater good.
Thanks Bioware for making great RPG games all these years!!!

The content is still pretty good why not hire a third party like Atari did with NWN2 to make some mods? I think even with Mass Effect (the orginial) even if new DLC was released, I would still go and buy it.
