So I just made an armor following Adinos' Werikk and Krayzie's tutorial and got it working well in game. Did the same procedure with some gloves (obviously using the massive glove GDA file) and the model in the toolset doesn't have the texture I applied to it.
Here it is in DAtool. Looks how I designed them:img682.imageshack.us/i/glovesdatool.jpg/
When I put it in the toolset:img412.imageshack.us/i/glovestoolset.jpg/

Anyone knows what's wrong? Checked the GDA file toroughly and it's seems fine. No idea what's wrong.

Ok so here's what I have in my data folder (files encircled in red are the glove files, blue are the armor flies): http://img138.images...f/coredata.jpg/

In my textures high folder (have the same files in the medium one): http://img339.images.../texturesu.jpg/

And this is my edited GDA file for the gloves: http://img829.images...gdatoolset.jpg/

Hope that clears things up

im afraid ive seen DATool go wrong a few times and i really need to look at the actual MMH (model hierarchy) file and MAO (material object) file it has generated... I'm looking to see if the MMH correctly references the MAO, and if theres anything wrong with the MAO.

DATool does not use the dragon age files to view things... them looking right in DATool does not directly correspond to "the files are right, I must have them in the wrong place"

nonono... you havent shown us the MMH or MAO... only that they exist! without being able to look at these, we cant help you. just put all your files in a zip for us to look at would be so much easier than screenshotting everything.

Sorry if i have been unclear at any time but I need the MMH and MAO files to help you.

okay had some trouble downloading from there... but a friend got it and sent it to me. okay, quick look reveals the following problems...

your MMH is calling for a material called "pn_pal_masf" (is this the default for whatever you were changing?), but your material file, despite being called pn_pal_masf.mao has its MaterialObject Name="PN_GLV_MASa". This explains why theyre not linking up.

Open the MAO in notepad and take a look for yourself. changing and saving in notepad is fine.

Also, if you experience more problems... ive not actually tested textures which have spaces in their name. that might throw you off. Change your texture to use underscores, and adjust the MAO to match.

Hope that fixes your problems.

Thanks for all your help but I can't seem to make it work. I altered both the texture file and changed the name of the material object to match mine but still no texture =[

Could it be that the gloves in DAtool are the problem? I'm going to try retexturing another pair of gloves and see if I'll get the same problem. I'll post here with the results.
