I really don't know what is considered spoiler so... here it goes...
I heard that you can kill Oghren by lowering his approval rating so much he fights you, and you can choose to kill him. Alright my question is this... what happens if you do that and then are imported into awakening?
Sense Oghren is a main companion... Has anyone expereienced this... does Oghren just not show up?
Can You Kill Oghren in Origins?

I doubt you can kill Oghren as he is a main player in Awakenings..well sort of. I would like to kill him though BEFORE we get to the anvil of the void.

Yeah, you can kill him at camp if you get his approval low enough.

If you kill him in Origins, he still appears in Awakening as if it didn't happen.

So, yes, you can kill Oghren. Now here, is what I would like someone to confirm, if they have played through it. After you kill Oghren in Origins, what happens to him in Awakening?

Really... hmmm... interesting don't you think? That may be the first major story conflict I've heard. Can anyone else confirm this?

ALRIGHT GUYS LISTEN UP. GOT AN UPDATE ON THE WHOLE DEAD OGHREN THING...
It was actually quite interesting, I went and tried it out myself. I killed him by lowering his approval, then got him in a fight, and chose to kill him. In the codex it said I killed him in a dispute.
Then... I imported my character to see if he was still alive... ran into the room and guess what... he was still alive... Then I was like huh, that's messed up. Then he starts talking to me and things is a summary of the things we said.
Warden: Aren't you dead dwarf?
Oghren: (summary/forgot a lot of it but basically) Oh yeah you tried to kill me, I woke up a week later with a splitting head ache. You tried to kill me, but it didn't work.
There you go, Bioware's reasoning... apparently you thought he was dead, but he wasn't.
Mystery Solved. Oh and basically the only way I got his rating down so low was by pranks.

Yes, if you leave him at Vigil and defend Amaranthine, he falls while taking on two ogres but then wakes up two weeks later. The damn dwarf is indestructible.

umm so maybe he will survive slaying the Archdemon even without the DR.
Lesson learned: Drink lots of ale, lots and lots of ale, the alcohol level in your blood when high enough will actually override darkspawn taint! Your body will be too drunk to remember that it is dead and hence your cells will keep working even without a brain... well.. since you are always drunk, your body sorta got use to running itself without the need of a mind XD
And perhaps even the soul of the old god will die of alcohol poisoning before reaching your soul!

Or you can end up with a terrifying ArchOghren that does spirits damage (rather than spirit damage) from the stench of the liquor on its awful breath.

It's the Beard + beer combo, grants him invulnerability.CalJones wrote...
