The title says it all. I know we will have some time before Mass Effect 3 and that means they can put out more DLC to keep us excited. I'm going to make a list of some of the things I want and I want to see some of your ideas as well.

More Alternate Appearance Packs - This one explains itself. We recieved one pack and nothing after. I really wonder if we will recieve more of them.

Romance Pack - Something that doesn't involve fighting for once but allows us to get to know our romantic interests better.

Kaiden/Ashley Pack - I want to see more of our Mass Effect 1 characters be involve and catch up with them.

An Epilogue or Post-Suicide Mission DLC - Bioware even said there will be a story between Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3 and it is planned to be told through DLC for Mass Effect 2.

I would rather have a DLC that explains more about the universe that I am fascinated with as apposed to dressing up shepherd.

I would like a new DLC that causes the Normandy to have a critical error which needs to be fixed instantly. In order to fix it, you must search the universe for a rare resource known as nunobtaitanium (which for reasons unknown, will fix the Normandy). However, there is no icon showing you which planet has this rare resource (and an extra 35 galaxies with 150 planets would be added) so you must scan the galaxy for until you find this rare resource (and, it is random which provides even more planet-scanning fun!).

Due to the urgent nature of this error, all missions will become locked until you find the one planet that has this resource in one spot. This way, everyone's favourite minigame is made even more repetitive and time consuming!

Alliance DLC: Cerberus finally goes too far and kidnaps Anderson in retaliation for Retribution; In order to bring back the former captain alive Shepard finds himself forced to formally sever his ties with Cerberus (if he hasn't already) presenting a major opportunity for chunk of exposition bridging me2 and me3 in explaining why Shepard was forced to leave cerberus in the end regardless of previous loyalties. In essence the "bridging dlc" that was promised.

Without the resources or contacts of the council or the Illusive man, Shepard finds an ally in an old friend high up in the Alliance (Ashly/Kaidain).

*I thought I'd repost this here as it ain't getting no love in the Kaidan/Ashley dlc wishlist threat amongst all that juicy fanboy fiction (of which I am one, I guess). I went on to speculate that the Illusive Man comics (starting january) may provide the background story arc much in the way that the Redemption series did for Lair of the Shadow Broker. Even going so far as to suggest that in addition to the promised life and times of T.I.M. (anybody get this reference?) that will be discussed in the mini-series the main story-arc may culminate in the Illusive man finally capturing Anderson in revenge for Retribution and 'interrogating' him as he did with Grayson to see what he knows right at the very end setting the scene for abovementioned "Alliance dlc".

As much as I would love to blow up the main base and actually kill him I think many would rather him get away and be happy with rescuing anderson and saving such epicness for ME3; although I can't help but think that Shepard is going to be too busy to deal with personal grievances in the middle of, y'know a giant reaper invasion.

That would be a good post suicide mission DLC.

I would say one where you had to pick between loyalty to Cerberus and the council. A Cerberus Infiltrator gets kidnapped, and you are sent to investigate. While there you find out that the Virmire survivor is there to eliminate an anti-human terrorist group on orders from the Council. They save you from an ambush (which you would have annihilated even if they hadn't shown up).

Your teams split up (you provide help for their team during the mission) and head for their respective objectives. After you find the Cerberus operative you are asked by the survivor to help them complete their mission. Once you are done, they thank you, but tell you that they want the Cerberus operative to gain information on the organization. There, you choose between giving them the operative and his data, or giving it to Cerberus and telling them to **** off.

If it were up to me, I'd have the mission reward you with the operative's weapons (a rapid fire sniper rifle (3 shots per sink, 60% damage per shot of a Mantis bullet), a reverse engineered plasma pistol (an in-between of the Predator and Carnifex (or a pistol with lower damage than the predator, but 20 shots (like the Mauser)), and a burst SMG with equivalent range to the locust. Also, if you help the virmire survivor you get specs for a Spectre armor suit (which allows you to "research" and manufacture it for Shepard.

It would be nice to finally get to permanently choose between Cerberus and the Alliance/Council. Spectre Armor is an awesome idea. I might have to steal it and post it for you in the 2nd Alternate Appearance pack wishlist topic if you haven't posted there, already ;)

My wishlist (of which there are some repeats from previous posts)
  • A request that forces Shepard to team up with Ashley or Kaidan for a mission investigating Cerberus/Alliance activities.  There's a trend that ME literature ties into ME games (Revelation---> ME1; Redemption---> ME2;  Retribution---> ?????), so I think that DLC should pertain to Retribution activities.
I think it could be a combo DLC:  new armor, team up with old friends, investigate an important ME subplot.  BioWare would be killing several birds with one stone.
  • Blood Dragon Armor.  I had the code, but it expired, and then I threw it out.  I would like to have the option to purchase this armor, even though it seemed to only be special for DA:O buyers.
  • Bastila outfit for FemShep, Carth outfit for MShep.  I think this would be cool.

When I bought the first Appearance Pack, I did it solely because I thought it was worth the price to fix Garrus's armor. :P  However, I was disappointed that both Jack and Thane were forced to wear those shades -- they are probably the two characters that express the most through their eyes to start with. Anyway, Appearance Packs don't really interest me. It's really no content, just a visual change.

I wonder if Bioware has finally covered every base with their weapons packs. I guess I wouldn't mind them releasing the Blackstorm. I really preferred it when we got a weapon as part of another DLC, like the Locust during Kasumi's mission. For instance, the geth shotgun would have probably made sense if you found it during Overlord.

Not keen on a Romance Pack. For one, the romance pack would have to be designed such that the six possible romance options can be interchanged with each other. I don't think a lot of people take this into account, they think the romance pack will somehow be tailor designed for their preferred love interest. Also, there are other characters on the ship, okay? I want to spend as much time with them as I do a love interest. So more like a Characters Pack. Something that lets you spend time with any squadmate and get to know them better. But honestly, something like that could be integrated with other missions that serve a better purpose to the overall story. Should Bioware want to play for twelve voice actors on a DLC.

Many people will groan, but I would like to see the developers finally get the Hammerhead right. If they release another DLC that uses the Hammerhead but don't make any changes to the vehicle, then forget it. But it just seems if they could somehow meld the Mako and the Hammerhead together, it would be my perfect vehicle.

For actual DLCs that I'd like to see. Kaidan/Ashley DLC. More than anything. Would think it would have to be a DLC that starts to bridge ME2 to ME3, though. Something that brings Shepard back to associating with the Alliance and Citadel space. Also, after Retribution, I'd think Anderson would also be a candidate for that type of DLC.

Team up with Wrex! Urdnot Clan faces heavy opposition, and Shepard is there to take on all of Tuchanka with the old Krogan Battlemaster. Though don't know how that works for anyone who doesn't have a playthrough with Wrex, especially considering the default doesn't have him. Drat, come to think of it, don't think a DLC with him will ever get made. :crying:

I don't think we're done with the Protheans yet. Or actually, with any ancient civilization that had gone up against the Reapers. I would think that maybe some of those civilizations came close to saving themselves, but failed for whatever reason in the end. Like the Protheans and the Conduit, these civilizations would try to leave something behind for the next civilization to use instead. And Shepard needs to find it.

I am done with the Cerberus DLCs. Fine, you were forced to play ball with them in ME2. Some people even did so quite willingly and are definitely allied with Cerberus from here on out. But I am not. I want Shepard to have the option to work closely with somebody else. For instance, a Rachni DLC. An Alliance DLC. A Hanar DLC. Any mission dealing with some organization other than Cerberus.

The Normandy Crew DLC. Shepard has taken all twelve squadmates out for pizza again and something dastardly happens to the Normandy or near the Normandy that the regular crew of the ship must handle on their own. You play Joker who must command an elite squad of... Ken and Gabby. Or Hadley and Hawthorne.

Okay, I'm done coming up with ideas now that they're heading into the bizarre.

"General world update DLC" (Post-suicide)
- Add more dialogue and conversations for my current teammates. Post-suicide romances too
- Add more personal missions for my teammates
- Add a handful of new people (also old like Parassini) with short missions around the galaxy
- Add more updated random comments for the bystanders
- Update the dialogue of important people like Anderson
= Make travelling around galaxy worthwhile again. Make Normandy feel like home again. Make the existing world feel more alive instead of creating new areas with short missions I won't return to (As soon as I completed Overlord and Kasumi I just thought "meh" and forgot about the game again)

"Shore leave DLC" (A space station or just a club on some planet)
1. Casino with quazaar, various card games, table hockey and whatever they have in future
- Don't make the game fill the entire screen, make us able to see and hear the stuff around
- Able to play with or without bets
- Able to play with strangers and teammates (Add some comments and animations for them)
2. Club with dancers, drinks and interactive stuff like dance minigame
- More fluid and relaxed than in the main game. The entire party sits down or dances. Again with random dialogue
3. Combat arena
- Battle NPCs (including teammates) in single or tournament matches. Alone or with team. A few gametypes like lethal and non-lethal deathmatch and capture areas
- Battle creatures or machines. Same gametypes as above plus survival and time attack modes
- Able to bet on matches (spectate real-time matches and not just cutscenes)
4. Perhaps some sort of market area would also be useful
5. In general
+ Add some sort of records and halls of fame for all the areas. Personal bests and current rankings (vs. NPCs whose scores get better and/or worse), even online Leaderboards
+ Not much impact but releasing your crew from their duties and seeing them relaxing around the station would be a nice touch
= Something that you could play for any amount of time and increase the longevity of post-suicide to practically infinite

And just for the record: I haven't and won't plan to buy any pure weapon/armor packages. Only missions

They should really expand all the hubworlds (Citadel, Illium, Omega and maybe Tuchanka). All of them are rididculously small, lack proper sidequests and resemble shopping malls.

Do a DLC where we get to go back to one of the old hub worlds, either Noveria or Feros, and do a mission alongside either Ash or Kaiden.

I would literally kill for Clan Urdnot DLC. maybe ride around in a tomkah, blow up some turians, subjugate Clan Weyrloc. there are so many more awesome biotic powers in ME2 than in ME1 and I wanna see Wrex use some. It'd be like watching a tongan/WW2 marine/ viking/jedi fight somebody.

Gladly will I keep ideas flowing:
  • DLC with Wrex, or Wreave.  I think the genophage issue is being resolved in ME3, but I think bridging DLC would be good.
  • Anderson making a cameo.  Preferrably after the events of Retribution.  This might also give us a chance to meet Kahlee Sanders.
  • Something where you have to investigate a Cerberus experiment...except that the experiment ends up a success? (Cerberus doesn't have the best track record.)
  • Garrus didn't have as much dialogue as I'd hoped in ME2, but his character development was awesome.  I would love to have another mission with him that further adds to his character.
  • Also, I want DLC that offers me the option to have purple hair.  And longer hair.
