This isn't to debate/argue about the nature of The Wall, what I am curious about is why the player wasn't able to have the option tot ry to bring down The Wall? AFAIK, this is an unoffical adventure so it wouldn't change anything WoTC has done, so even if the attempt was doomed to fail,(Taking a god on their home turf) why not let players have the option?

It's no contest. Assuming he doesn't want to kill you ("the good you have done counts for much"), he can just Banish you with a thought.

Yea. I was thinking of something where you beat on him for a while before he knocks you around and shows that you just can't stand against him. It is just the 'Oh, ok. I'll just walk away now.' that was annoying. That is a problem that has cropped up in games, where the player/character has to surrender or agree to something automatically. Such as in the game Final Fantasy 7 where your 20th level characters auto-surrender to common thugs.
