I agree!

This is ridiculous. If you WERE an attractive man in real life, and a gay man makes a pass at you, you would HATE CRIME GAY BASH him?wowpwnslol wrote...
If such romance is possible, I hope normal gamers are not subjected to it like in first DA. Now I always kill Zevran because it's sickening that he makes passes at my male character when I am straight in real life.

Women fend off advancing men all the time. As a virile straight man, is it so hard to say "I'm flattered, but no thank you." in a video game? Jesus.

LOL if a woman killed every man who ever made a pass at her I don't think there'd be any left!
No, you win, because they've now marginalized same-sex romances and catered to your bigoted demands.wowpwnslol wrote...
Why not allow normal gamers a way to disable "gay romances" in the options or only have the gay character initiate the dodgy conversation if a player blatantly persues that path? Everybody wins.

Because the world doesn't revolve around you. By your logic, just because I'm gay, I have to right to ask for a kill switch for all straight people / romances? No.wowpwnslol wrote...

Why subject gamers who don't dislike that kind of thing to that kind of content? I play game for enjoyment and to get away from a real world. Having same sex character in game flirt with me, reduces my enjoyment of the game, simple as that. Why not allow normal gamers a way to disable "gay romances" in the options or only have the gay character initiate the dodgy conversation if a player blatantly persues that path? Everybody wins.

No, you don't. You're the minority and it wouldn't make sense for Bioware to waste valuable development time on a feature, most people at best don't care about or at worst find repulsive. Personally, I wouldn't care if they included a gay romance, most people here can't read what I said earlier.
I just don't want it to intrude upon my gaming experience like it happened in DA (although not a huge extent, I admit). Once again, games should be about what is fun for the majority, not an attempt to be politically correct.
You clearly care enough to kill Zevran every time.wowpwnslol wrote...

I would play a black character. Nothing wrong with it. I definitely wouldn't play a gay character though. It's just not normal and sends negative message to public that it's ok to engage in that sort of behavior.

Just like the actual gay experience - there's less people to choose from. Yea, I did hear some displeasure about Zevran (but not Leliana). But that's more of disliking Zevran personally than disliking the amount of options. Besides those who didn't like Zevran (I don't hear this much from gay people actually), seems like most of the LGBT community was pleased with DA:O. However I am not gay myself, so I can't speak for them, it's just the impression I got.Anarya wrote...

Anarya, weren't most gays and lesbians satisfied or at least pleased with what was available to them in DA:O?
I have no idea, I'm actually hetero myself. I imagine it varies from person to person. I got the impression that Origins did a good job of being inclusive compared to other video games, yes, but as a gay person you still have half the choices of a straight person in your romances. I know some gay people complained about Zevran because they saw him as being "too stereotypical". Beyond that I don't really know.

Wowpwnslol, give it up man. All you're doing is telling us you have issues and are probably not well socialised.

Why are people so disturbed by/morally object to gay options, yet for example, killing a ****load of humans or letting a demon take over a childs body in DA is totally fine?
