Because nobody will be killing people or conjuring demons in real life - while homosexuality is a real life issue, which shouldn't be brought into the game to appease someone who'd be better off visiting some gay dating site.

Oh oh oh, let me poke more holes in your logic. Sure we don't conjure demons in real life, but people don't kill people in real life? Really? Wow, other than the apparent gay men constantly hounding and flirting with you, you must live in a pretty perfect world.

Besides, straight romance seekers can go dating sites as well by your logic. Or are you against that as well? It is exactly because it's a real issue that people want to see it in games.

Not that I've come to expect eloquence from you on this issue, but this is a particularly poor argument.

Just say it. "I don't want gays in the game because I think gays are yicky." Sure we'll all rightly call you a bigot and your opinion will be disregarded, but at least it'll be intellectually honest, man.

It just seems obvious to me; if it's a roleplaying game that has romance options then there should be gay and straight choices. Roleplaying game. A game when when you get to choose your role. Seems obvious. I don't even need a sex scene.



I'm still a peeved about ME2 and that lame explanation. I actually would have just preferred the truth, "It's our game and we didn't want to do it." ME2 where I had to, as a gay man ENDURE the CONSTANT flirtation of every woman when I was maleshep. It was horrible. As a gamer I shouldn't have to deal with situations that I wouldn't want to deal with in real life because I am that shallow and insecure.



And I agree with one of the first posters- we won't know until after the game ships; we might get clues to if there will be gay options, but won't know if that is optionS until the game comes out.

Ok, once again despite some people's attempts to keep this an intelligent discussion, it has again degenerated into name calling and petty bickering. I know this is a hot button issue for a lot of people, but really? Really, people? You can't discuss this without resorting to calling people who disagree with you a bigot or whatever?

Someone once said "We are tolerant of everything but intoillerance". Keep that in mind for the next time this arises.

For the record, we have not revealed ANY romances of any sort for Dragon Age 2. When we do, you can discuss this again.
