You nailed it. That's all it is really.

So i have been thinking a bit about this DLC and had some interesting thoughts on how it might end. This DLC is obviously the bridge between DAO and DA2. now it is mentioned* spoiler ahead* that the chantry in DA2 is in tatters.this 10-20 years ahead of DAO. Now a huge religious institution spread over every major human nation doesn't collapse overnight, something cataclysmic must have happened. What could be more cataclysmic then an old god rising from the death? My guess is that good ol' Urthemiel is alive again after this DLC.

As for the warden i guess he either dies or becomes the old god (with the godchild only serving as temporary vessel)

P.S. Dont shoot me for this im just speculating

That is interesting to think about. However, something to keep in mind is for those who turned down Morrigan's Dark Ritual... Their would be no old god, therefore they can't put to much focus on it...

Unless, they go ahead and make the god baby canon. Which is a possiblity.

I like to consider myself a reasonable person.   No point getting upset about a game is there?

Having said that -

...if they make the DR canon I will be very, very, very annoyed.

If they're intending to make the OGB canon (which is a slightly different thing perhaps) - I'm interested to see what twists of logic they use to do so.  Unless its going to be like Oghren surviving for those who killed him - they'll just do it and hope no one notices or assume the bulk of their audience took the choices they're now setting into canon and the minority don't matter.

Will have to wait and see I think - as I say - no point getting annoyed about a game (please don't point out that I just got annoyed - I'm conscious of the irony).

I guess Alistair's not in it because there's a good possibility he's not around in many people's games. Since I always let Loghain live at the Landsmeet, Alistair is either married to Anora (but angry at my Warden), exiled or dead in my games. (And I do like Alistair...it's just I have a strong burning love for Loghain that he just can't compete with. Heh).
Loghain could also be the OGB's father but I doubt we'd be seeing him as he's likely dead in most people's games (even mine, since I usually let him slay the archdemon).
So I guess that means we go it alone. With some elven warrior chick (bleh...) and a dog. Hopefully our dog.

Still, they brought both of them back for Awakening even though you might have killed one or both.

I think it's budget that means we get throwaway companions with cheaper VA's.

Choices are meaningless if they aren't reflected in followup gameplay. The DLCs are small, so they don't, but that's also why they're not particularly satisfying.

I'll agree with that. Thus far I've only bought the DLCs that integrate into the main campaign. I'll make an exception for this simply because it ties up the loose ends (hopefully). Better be good though.

Well I'd of course like to be able to ride off into the sunset and live happily ever after (or for 28-ish more years anyway).

But more realistically, something sappy and sentimental. Maybe give the PC a chance to give his life to save her and the baby. I can make peace with knowing that it won't be that perfect ending, but as long as I can see that my PC had a real impact on Morrigan, I'll be satisfied.

Will Elissa track her down and take the child she should have been able to bear her husband, to raise as their own?

It's funny, because, I thought of this very theory aswell it could be a fitting ending. :)

Child kidnapping from the birth-mother after agreeing to give up custody?

Well, without him she wouldn't have an OGB so that's already done.

True, but I meant in terms of personality, outlook, etc.

To Sigmar Cousland, she was no more than a manipulative and untrustworthy rogue mage who needs to be exterminated to ensure Ferelden's continued safety.

Yes, I think a rack, some Templars and a roaring fire should do the trick.

I'm sure stealing the baby she risked life, liberty, and Ferelden over from her bosom is sure to make an emotional impact on her.

My ending: Morrigan takes God-Baby and goes on a massive Chantry Ass-kicking spree. And then goes and kicks the crap out of the qunari. And then goes and stomps the Dalish for producing Cammen.

And then she hits up Alistair for back child support payments. Which he can't pay because he's been living in complete sin with my mage Warden. So we all end up on Jerry Spring.

The end. Epic!

I would pay the price of Origins, Awakening, and all DLC to get an ending like that!

Sure hope my Wardens don't die. I've grown too attached to them to let them die from Morrigan. If a Warden does die, then Morrigan and OGB will die for my Warden, which I would rather not do.

I hope the DLC allows you to attempt to round up the old gang first, before heading into the Kocari Wilds in seach of Morrigan,

The Warden is not going to try and round up the old gang.

And whether or not the Warden dies or not... really doesn't matter, because Witch Hunt is the last he will be in from all I can tell.

Hmm, I'm not sure about this. I might have to play this with a new character or something. I can't see Alistair not demanding to go with my warden if Morrigan shows up again. My warden thought of her as a sister too, so if she's a villian eh... Flemeth is a shape changer and body stealer anwyays, there's a decent chance this won't be the real Morrigan...

It's way depressing that this is the last Origins DLC too. I was hoping for a few more... DA:2 doesn't come out for seven months after all...  Image IPB
