Ugh, Well, I guess this means my Morrigan romance/ Human Noble file will have to wait until some true clarification is given. :|
good luck with that, we're waiting for that since... when was Awakening released?

Speaking with the designers for WH, amongst many other choices, it will recognize and respond to both of the romance active and still in love flags. I believe the issue with Awakening was that it only responded to one of those, so you could get into a bit of a catch-22 where you either missed a part of the Origins epilogue, or the Awakening one depending on how you ended things in Origins.
Thank you so much for clearing that up.
This issue has been troubling us since Awakenig was released and it's good to hear that both flags will be recognized this time around.

Thank you Fernando.. This is really a very important news for all people who were going to play the DLC and didn't know yet what they had to do with their savefiles and which character to load.. Now everybody can go play Witch Hunt less worried, without that distressing doubt about romance's flag
And that sentence.... "among many other choices" is indeed interesting.. now I am just so curious to see how the stories of my wardens are going to end depending on the path they followed.

Oh boy, HUGE THANK YOU for clearing this up! It was precisely a Catch-22 like you said and a bit of a nagging issue for a while now.
Thanks again for looking into this!

It would be nice if the WH DLC informed you of the relationship status with Morrigan in the save games you can import.. (thus avoiding any confusion for those of us that didn't sacrifice a goat and do a rain dance to get both Morrigan endings).
agreed similar to the basic choices you made when you imported Mass effect 1 to 2, great idea

I'm using Morrigan Restoration Patch from Terra_Ex (every Morrigan fan should be using this...). I asked about this Epilogue/End bussiness.
Here's the reply copy-pasted:
"The flag condition for the ring epilogue slide is bugged, I fixed that.
The vanilla game breaks up the romance in the final conversation which
has the side effect of screwing up the Awakening import process. Since
that is the final conversation you have with her, there's no technical
reason to do so, so my patch fixes both these issues."

The question is, at least for console users, will the romance active and still in love flags give the same result? or different ones?
My understanding from what Fernando posted above is that so long as you have either flag (romance active OR still_in_love) triggered, you should be ok with Morrigan recognizing your Warden as having romanced her in WH.
We'll find out soon enough!

PC Version
Human Male Noble
Romanced Zevran and Morrigan at same time. Broke it off with Morrigan before Landsmeet (but got her ring). Had a kid with her, said I'd go find her after the crowning. Epilogue talked about my love for Zevran.
Played Awakenings, Amgarrak, then imported from Amgarrak to Witch Hunt.
Everything went perfectly. It played exactly as though I played the game as it was 'meant' to be played. Told her I wanted my damn kid, and in the end I'm still looking for him (yay it's a boy).

I didn't have any romance with Morigan, not possible with a female I suppose. But I did let her do the Dark Ritual thing with Alistair, allthough in the ending of WH she says I denied her help and that I refused to let her do the ritual... This was really confusing, because that didn't happen at all. I am 100% sure I let her do the Dark Ritual. Anyone else has this problem?

Yes! I had the same problem, she said the same to me.. I was sitting there really confused and disappointed with the ending.
