 I'm buying it and the OP is wrong about some things. Your character can be a magic user, warrior or rogue just like in the first game Hawk sounds like he or she will be highly customizable.  Yes I'm going to buy it! Bioware has never let me down except for Neverwinter Nights which I thought was awfull

How could I doubt Bioware after hundreds of entertaining hours without even playing the game. As long as they don't decide to fire their writers, I probably won't be disappointed.

But everyone has their own preferences and reasons why they enjoy a game, so I'm not going to judge people who expected something different.

Thank you. It's nice to see someone acknowledging that while they may enjoy something, others may not. Being told to 'get over it' , as some feel free to do, is about as pointless a bit of arrogance as is possible.

I've only played ME, ME2, DA:O and DA:A. And I like them fine. I'm not a serious gamer or anything. I just like going to space and slaying dragons

I'll most certainly be getting DA2, just like I'll certainly be getting ME3. From what I've heard so far, though, there's very little that improves on DA:O but some that takes away from it. I'm not going to make any assumptions from only the scant info that's out there at this time; it's simply an impression that things may have moved a little away from what I was hoping.



I'm probably not in the target demographic, so my concern is likely pointless, but DA:O was one of the finest RPGs I've played in many years. I just want DA2 to match or surpass that sort of fun.

nope I am hardcore.  There are things I like about each and things I don't like about each, but I am hardcore.  I have played other games like Saboteur, Assassin Creed 2, Red Dead and found  them boring after awhile.  I even got 100 percent in two of them, but I keep coming back to DA everytime because it is a new game for me.  I have played more than 25 times.
