First I love the game and DLC, but the store is like a dark alley during a misty cold evening. The only flickering light in this dark corner of the world is the customer support chat.
Through the ea store you can buy either 800 or 1600 BP with iDeal you just have to pay 6 euro's more =/? My experience buying my 1600 BP’s for 19,99, through iDeal was that it took quite some time to be processed. These transfers, which are (almost) instant should yield an instant reply, as soon as my money gets transferred, I want a receipt and not wait 24 hours for it. I could understand not getting the goods right away, but a notification of your purchase should be instant.
There should be an iDeal payment option there are numerous smaller developers or indie developers that use it, why?, because it is secure, fast and modern payment option. More secure than sharing all your information on a form for some EA employees.
I scouted the forums and read how many people have trouble getting a refund for justified causes. Now I don’t know what kind of practices or people are behind customer support, but I feel real uncomfortable doing business with ea/ bioware. Selling to Dutch means adhering to Dutch consumer laws and the European consumer laws (with the Dutch laws being a bit more elaborate).
I’m used to modern online payment options. Where you have an account that shows your order and you can track your order from the moment you made it. You get a digital receipt of your purchase (e-mail) and if the content is digital it becomes available right away. The eastore (bioware points) do not fulfil any of these requirements. There are digital and no-digital game resellers out there that seem to have it under control:
http://www.paybycash.com/ or steam or get some training at CCP eve online, fast and helpful customer support and payments never went wrong with that game.
