I just got a new Geforce GTX 460 video card and was able to overclock it to around 850 mhz.  The GPU is stable and cool.  Everything runs fine except when I turn the Anti Aliasing from 4x to 8x.  At this point it looks like the resolution is all of a sudden set to the lowest possible setting even though it says the resolution is 1400x900.  Basically everything looks really blocky all of a sudden, but it the game runs fine(there is no lag/slowdown).  Has anyone else had this happen?

Thanks

Does this happen when you board is not overclocked?

Yes

I tried the game before overclocking it.

The game looks fine at 4x anti aliasing, but I'm just curious why this would happen.  Basically everything looks pixelated.  It's very strange.  I'll post a screenshot when I get home from work.

Are you using the anti-aliasing setting available in DA:O or the setting available in nVidia control panel?

I should mention the card is made by Gigabyte and has 1 gigabyte of memory.  I used the drivers from thier website (not the ones from nvidia.com).  The operating system is Windows 7 Business edition 64 bit.

I was changing the settings from within the game.

In this case, may be you can try to modify DA:O profile (or create a profile if none exists) in the control panel to force anti-aliasing and leave in-game setting to off.

I'll try that when I get home.

Thanks for the idea.
