Actually, I can see Morrigan signing on for something like that pretty easily.

You guys did a frankly horrific job of making those Grey Wardens.
EDIT: On another note, evidently this new game is about a qunari invasion.

I'm just going to chalk it up to them fighting mages and the Grey Wardens have an inordinate amount of templars.

Not to mention, the fact, that the Chantry lies in ruins which would support the idea of the templars going to war.Saibh wrote...

The templars do have a stranglehold on Kirkwall, it is said... maybe that extends over the Wardens there as well.

If Sten is still around, I wonder if he would reconsider siding with his Qunari brethren if he became good friends with the Hero of Ferelden?
...and I would like to see if he has grown horns...
As it is over a ten year period, it would seem like a too good opportunity to have sten do a cameo.

haha, I love it when those elitists get shot down, they never come back. It is interesting though, why are the wardens fighting those mages? I think flemeth might have a connection with the darkspawn.Chris Priestly wrote...

This is horrible. It has information that can't be verified or is just flat out wrong (Grey Wardens fighting robed mage army? WRONG)
Here's a better breakdown at greywardens.com.
Well, since we supplied them with the information they put up.....

Anyone else wondering why the Warden's all look the same? The in-game Wardens we've seen each have their own look, and don't really use a uniform.
Maybe the Wardens teamed up with the Chantry?

Wait...so you gave them all that information? But why, then, do they infer that a Strider is a new type of darkspawn? We know it to be an ancient creature tied to Arlathan, at least that's that's what your website says. Or does it have ties to the darkspawn and you just neglected to mention it? Or did you just give them certain bits of info and left them to draw their own conclusions from the rest?
Also, assuming you gave material to the Blur studio to help them make the CGI trailer, why would allow them to construct the Grey Waydens as though they were templars? Because...they're wearing the EXACT templar unifrom, and their sheilds bear the Sword of Mercy...where'd the Griffon symbol go? I know you probably won't answere this, but I'm majorly confused....

- Viscount Dumar gets killed during a Qunari invasion of Kirkwall
- A Qunari invasion of Kirkwall occurs
- Flemeth is confirmed
- The Dragon like symbol on Viscount Dumar's cape (the Champion's Mark) is the national symbol of Kirkwall
Dumar's crown is adorned with Falcon's the symbol of his house (hmmm..Hawke, falcons...?)
- The red markings on the Qunari depict a high military rank (whatever happened to armored Qunari?)
- Hawke's mage staff doubles as a melee weapon and magical weapon
-Hawke displays magical skills, searing the Qunari's head with a glyph
- Hawke's carving on his arm is indeed Blood Magic
- Hawke's pirate lady friend is apparnetly Rivaini: "sea-faring people from the North"
- The burning house= "Recollections of the Blight?"
- Picture of Strider- "New Darkspawn types?" (Ok, unless the Strider is actually a darkspwn somehow thats flat out wrong)
- Picture of Flemeth in DA2 outfit- "Flemeth's New Host" (Really?)
- Picture of Templars(?) and Morrigan Clones- "And a battle between the Grey Wardens and a Robed Mage Army"
Basically, if BioWare provided that info, the whole Strider thing is BS seemingly. And Flemeth then seemingly has a new host at the very beginning of DA2- even before the Warden could have killed her? And a host that still looks like an old lady?
And what is the deal with saying those are Wardens fighting robedmages? As has been shown here, they are very very clearly Templars, which makes more sense fighting mages than Wardens. So either Blur really messed up in depicting Wardens or for some bizarre reason Wardens don't fight only darkspawn anymore but fight mages too? Is this just BioWare providing misinformation or another retcon?

Why can't they be both Templars and Grey Wardens?

I honestly don't know why everyone is so suprised that Flemeth has a new host. Most of the info Morrigan told the Warden was conjecture, and she may have been fudging what trruths she did know.
As for the two armies, they could be Wardens fighting under Templar command, thus using heraldry for the Chantry. There isn't a Blight right now, afterall, so the Grey Warden authority over the various political factions (for lack of a better term) doesn't apply.
Hell they could also be Templars fighting under the command of the Greay Wardens. Riordan made it clear after you rescue him in DA:O that the Grey Wardens are composed of more retainers to Warden than actual Wardens. That could be specific to Orlais, of course, but the point is that the entire army we see isn't necessarily composed entirely of Wardens or Templars.
As for it making more sense...no, I'm going to disagree with you on that. Based soley on the assumption that the army of mages are apostates of course. If so, then Wardens fighting them makes every bit as much sense as the Templars. If an army of mages showed up near my hometwon, I'd either run the helkl away, or join with whatever allies I could get to try and drive them away. Wardens aren't very likely to run awayy, if you see what I mean.
We also don't know those are Morrigan "clones" They're wearing similar garb, which is just as likely to be some kind of uniform as anything else. Also, I think it looks lije they're wearing masks, which could support my theory. The pictures that I've seen that enlarge that shot are a little fuzzy though.
Of course if they aren't apostates, then I haven't any clue what is going on

David Gaider: *Smack* Never! You correct that statement about the pop-ups.
Priestly: Do I have to?
Gaider: *Smack* Yes. *Smakc*
Priestly: But some of them are true, we did give some of them to Gametrailers.
Gaider: *Pauses* Yes, that is true.
Priestly: I just didn't say that they were also allowed to speculate on other details.
Gaider: Why not?
Priestly: Cuz it is fun to watch them get all confused. I mean, the video clearly shows templars and stuff. Flemeth's new host? I mean, come on!
Gaider: You get in there right now and clarify that so our fans understand that there are some speculation in there amongst the facts. NOW! *WAkka-Smack*
Priestly: Owwwwww. Yes Mr Gaider Sir.
Clearer now? Or do I have to be beaten again?
