Though everyone seems to be focusing on the templar or GW debate, the one I keep thinking about is the Rivaini woman. Who's the only person in the game that is (known to be) Rivaini?
Just a little person called, I don't know.... DUNCAN! I keep thinking they're somehow related, like his daughter or something, but then again, Hawke was kissing her in the flashback, and that just skews the whole 'Duncan is Hawke's father!' theory...

Maybe that's why she was holding a knife to him.

I don't think it's a new Flemeth host. It just looks like plain old Flemeth dolled up with make up and nicer clothes, whereas in Origins she had no make up and her hair was a mess. She just had a makeover, that's all.

Hm interesting. I didn't know we knew who the king was and what that symbol meant, exactly. Also didn't know we knew exactly what the Qunari markings meant.

And isn't the army fighting Flemeth and her mages templars and not Grey Wardens?

I didnt see a Griffon heraldry anywhere. Im guessing GT goofed. Those are more than likely Templars.Unless I missed something.

Seeing Flemeth and realizing that it is a 'NEW HOST', I think she took over a Qunari female or something. Seeing as she has horns now.  Maybe Female Qunari deal in politics while Male Qunari deal with war.  Im thinking Flemeth and the Qunari invasion are linked.

I could be wrong.

You are wrong. Flemeth is not in the body of a Quanari female. Clearly it is a human body she has.

I have said this before...and I will say it again...

HOLY SH*T LOOK AT BETHANY'S BONGOS!

I'm so playing as a female.

Ugh. And to think that YOU are the type of person Bioware markets for.

Hey! Don't hate the player ...hate the game

BioWare was the ones who made them like that. Posted Image

Confirmed: You cant romance your sister Bethany in the game.

Am I the only one afraid that Flemeth will choose her new 'host' at some point, and that it may end up being our characters inexplicably attractive sister ; effectively shafting her bongos?

Oh, also her life.

And stop thinking those thoughts everyone knows you're thinking. 'Shafting,' as in stealing :P

Yes, but now they decided to tell us that they gave them facts mixed in with GT's own speculation.

I would say she is a Rivaini pirate, however.

So from what Im figuring, and its all just that, is that the large battling army presented in the flash backs are Templars vs Apostates (though the question of why they have Morrigan's robes and Flemeth's staff is unanswerable) in Awakening, you meet up with Wynne mentions troubles brewing about the Fraternities of Libertarians if Im not mistaken. The Libertarians want to separate from the chantry and have the Circle become autonomous so they can do what they do, but of course with the all around general fear of mages etc that isn't very popular.  So maybe, the Libertarians get enough support and do separate from the chantry, which would bring the the Templars out in force to eliminate the now very large number of said Libertarians now branded as Apostates.

As for the Qunari invasion, as others have pointed out, Sten states that an invasion is on the horizon,  so why not?  Thats what the Qunari do. And it gives a strong antagonist party to fight against. Kirkwall's location on the coast and the city being an important port city make it a very strategic first strike for the Qunari. Who better to force their way through the "Twins of Kirkwall" dragonage.bioware.com/da2/world/ than the Qunari who have the most advanced navy possessing cannons and such, a HUGE game changer in the way warfare was conducted IRL and could be equally devestating in Dragon Age.  Though, I gotta say from what little we know of Kirkwall's defenses it'll be a costly battle for the Qunari.

The lone Qunari showed in the trailer is obviously someone of great importance/prowess as shown by his appearance and goin through a number of guards before killing the sniveling viscount.  And a few times I've seen posts of people doubting the single Qunari being equivical to an invasion.  If the guy is as important as his appearance denotes, it wouldn't be too difficult for him to break through the defensive lines and get to his planned objective. I mean, if I were a poor solider and I had that guy running at me, I'd GTFO of his way.

And as for Flemeth's new host? I'm gonna throw that one as a misdirection. And who cares anyway, shes a GMILF ;)

But then again, there is quite a wait till DA2 is running on our chosen platforms so all this could be a complete and utter waste of hours of our obsessive nitpickings!

"Either the trailer is more than we realize or we realize less. Or perhaps the trailer is nothing! Or perhaps we realize nothing!"

I wonder if the effects of our encounter with Morrigan in Witch Hunt will have an effect on this supposed grey warden vs. hooded mage thing. Because her little god child would be something of an interest to grey wardens other than the one from Origins. I think that it would be even more so to other grey wardens actually because they would detest the creation of the child and seek to end it's life. Just like in the Awakening prolong if you leave the Architect alive.

Obviously, Morrigan's robes are cool, and no self-respecting Apostate would be caught dead wearing Chantry-approved Circle trash. Posted Image

Hey.. now Flemeth looks really like Morrigan's mother.. I mean, she is right like her, just older:

same facial expression, same eyes, same make-up...

I hope those templar army can give those apostates a good "kicking" :P ... beside ... Wardens can wear templar armour ... Alistair did most of the time since I could get my hand on it. Easily one of the most stylish pieces of armour in DA:O .... Afterall one wants to look stylish while fighting mages :P ... Also when you fight mages "templar armour would 'distract' them more ... potentially leading to tactical mistakes. And if you are short of armour you might just plunder the Templar armoury in an invaded Kirkwall.

So Templars fighting Mages would, without knowing much, make a lot more sense the Grey Wardens. Also Grey wardens fighting under the command of the Chantry ... seriously doubt that. I would think the Wardens would have something to say against that. With them maybe, under them ... they are "mostly" supposed to be independent of "state" structures etc.

Id say those are definately templars because didnt Wynne in Awakening say something about the mages trying to break away and do there own things with no oversight from the templars? It could be them trying to bring them back under control by force...

Since there are going to be so many conflicts, and thus so many sides to choose from, I hope they give a good amount of real, believable, justifiable motivations for Hawke. I'd be intrigued to side with the templars and the chantry, but if they are written as complete oppressor pigs and ****s, I won't be able to do so with any reasonable character.
