How was the Human Reaper supposed to travel?

This was never explained.

I think that once completed, the Human Reaper would've looked a lot more Reaper-ish that what we see.

Have you considered the fact that it was in a "very early stage of development"? Things that have just been started don't tend to look exactly the same at their completion.

So pretty much the human reaper would have have had the top part of the body look human with a torso, neck/head, and arms.....with the rest of the body having 8 or so tentacles out on the side like the normal looking reapers?

before but I will humor. The inside of the reaper is the race used to
create it. The cuddlefish shell is how it travels around. Think of any
movie with a biosuit and you have it.
The inside of the reaper? The inside of the dead reaper in ME2 just look like an inside skeleton of what the outside looked like. There was no unique details that stood out to the point where I could say "Oh, so this is what the race that the Reapers harvested looked like"
It just doesn't make sense.

think about the size. a reaper is huge. the human reaper was tiny compared to a real reaper, like 1/100th the size probably. think of it like this: a reaper looks like the cuddlefish thing, and the human reaper would be deep inside it in the middle, as if the reaper was preggies with a human reaper.
right there.
"embryo" in human terms, a reaper is a dreadnought more or less, that human reaper was not taller than... maybe 7-8? stories high?.... thats like... 80 feet? maybe?... soverign was over 2 kilometers long... so the human reaper, had a LONG way to go.

Not likely. If you look at the reapers at the end of ME2, you will notice that they do indeed vary in shape- I saw one which looked like a scarab beetle for example- the cuttlefish with legs shape is not a shell but the shape of the species which formed Harbinger and Sovereign.
Unless the human-reaper grew some kind of reaper tail (in which case it would swim like a mermaid through space) I'm guessing it would travel kind of like the way Iron man flies.

Plus, it may have been developed to be transported inside another reaper.

Like superman.
they just didn't get around to making the cape yet
as for the Derelict Reaper reference, do keep in mind, we never saw the entire interior of it
so who knows if there isn't some kind of "mechanical" version, of the species it was based upon, hooked up somewhere inside of it
some things are easy to explain, then again, some shouldn't have been given an attempt to be explained, either
*cough* midi-chlorians*cough*
if you know what I mean

has anyone considered it wasn't meant to be space travel reaper and perhaps was to be transported to a planet and be godzilla type thing smashing buildings and making mischief

That is exactly what I was thinking. My assumption is that this human reaper would be some "ground devastation" item in which like you said, the main Reaper ships would deploy these human reapers planet side to cause distruction.
Think of the Titans in God of War 3....

Exactly what we've seen is not a "Reaper" itself, it was a early version of a human-dna based "reaper" mobile-unit, spoken in Geth terms. We dont know much about how many "reaper" AIs are onboard of such a early state mobile-unit, if any are, and if these altough are based on something human.
But i think the childhood phase of a "reaper mobile-unit" is a ground based too, so it can be dropped of on a colony world and fed itself... until enough biomass is consumed and it metamorphs into a space-traveling one, just like butterflys do it.
