Let's be honest here - a lot of elements from traditional RPGs are really unncessary and don't add to the overall experience of playing a video game. The strengths of many RPGs - storyline, characters, etc. is something I don't think bioware will be skimping out on anytime soon. Now don't get me wrong, the combat in DA was fun but was overall it wasn't the greatest gameplay experience in the world. The storyline, mood/atmosphere, and memorable characters more than made up for what I perceived to be technical gameplay shortcomings. Mass Effect 1 had similar issues, most of which were fixed in ME2. No I dont' care about dealing with a clunky inventory as long as i can alter my character's equipment's appearance. No I don't care about dealing with inventory weight. No I don't care about leveling up. No I don't care about spending half of my time travelling to different places back and forth for "fetch this" type quests (what I call filler time).
Keep the characters, story, plot, visuals, graphics etc interesting. Those are the only elements i really care from an RPG. Then for all I care it can play like Dragon Effect 2.
But speaking from experience, you are not going to win many fans by promoting things like these (as it looks like you are no doubt finding out right at this moment). I got caught up in quite the sh*tstorm when I decided to express my views on what my idea of a "perfect game" would look like.
Apparently "tedium" is one traditional pillar of RPGs that most people are simply unwilling to let go.
If someone ever did make a game without all that stuff, there are two confirmed sales right here, eh?
*fistbump* Stay strong.
Edit: I wouldn't call it "mass effectification" though, unless by that you mean the changes ME2 had in relation to ME1. The same types of changes I would love in DA2, but obviously I don't want DA2 to actually start looking like Mass Effect.
Am I the only one who HOPES they "Mass Effectify" Dragon Age 2?

No, that would imply that those who happen to agree with the OP are not inferior console FPS lovers, and obviously we can't have that.

Dragon Age, however, was coined as a true successor to the "traditional" RPGs, and was intended to be enjoyed as such. It was very different from both ME1 and ME2, and it was good for that. To be honest, though, I don't think the voiced PC ever defined the difference between DA:O and Mass Effect, and I don't think that the inclusion of a voice makes for a lesser RPG.
The more "fluid" combat I'll have to see for myself before I decide it's been completely Mass Effectifized. I loved the more tactical combat of Origins, but I thought it was lacking in proper animations and a general feel that you're actually fighting something rather than watching two characters aimlessly swing their sword infront of them. The occasions where a genlock was running away from me yet my character's sword was still somehow hitting him from three feet away does not strike me as something that needs to carry over, and if the combat in DA2 manages to combine the tactical approach with faster, more fluid gameplay then I would certainly view that as an improvement.
As for the staples like skill trees and inventory and leveling up - they're all still well in place. The above things I mentioned are the only real reasons anyone would cry "Mass Effect", and really I don't see "Mass Effect" in the above things. But I guess we'll all have to wait to actually see it.

Like looting your 89th darkspawn dagger and selling it for 2 silver really adds to the fun. Oh, wait, you packs are full! Woo, now the fun really starts! You get to go through your 8 backpacks you are somehow wearing and decide if something there is less valuable than a darkspawn dagger! And then--hold on to your hats, folks--you get to lug all your junk back to a merchant! Wowzers! Hey hey, with that extra 50 silver you just made, you can afford your Sword of Badguy Slaying, which has +2 to accuracy! That may or may not be better than your current sword which has +2 to damage! You know what that means...time to whip out the spreadsheet! OMFG I am having so much fun! Hey, look at that! You're only 37.2 experience points away from leveling up! Better start deciding now if you are going to go for a 42nd point of dexterity, or maybe walk on the wild side and throw them all into strength! Is it going to have a measurable effect no matter where you put it? Who knows?! But the excitement level is at an all-time high, that's for sure!

ME2 was definitely a more cinematic experience, with a lot less glitchs and such. But I actually did miss the mako...and the shotguns (ME2 shotguns were kinda lame)...and the inventory (not the 150 item limit). I loved both games in different ways. ME1 was kinda a rough diamond for me.

What I mean by taking sides is joining one group or another just so you can be like "Yeah! My sides better!". For example: people who are Democrat or Republican that seem to only call themselves such to be part of a group, that never actually take part in political discussion, but simply call the other side names.

And that saying "MAKING it like ME2 is awsome is fail worthy"
Also Bioware fanboys are so hard to understand, mostly since they are far to busy doing a secretarial faceplant to comprehend.
Not that this goes anywhere mind you, since you seem to believe that turning an RPG into God of War is good and I dont.

I wouldn't go so far as to call ME2 a piece of crap. And I wouldn't call being a bioware fanboy the same as being a RPG fanboy (I realize you didn't actually say that, but I think that's what you meant. Correct me if I'm wrong). ME2 may be Bioware's first mostly non-rpg (I think) game, but it still has a very large amount of fans.

*Enjoys looting a new water bottle from a dead hurlock so that he can sell it for 3 copper*
*Spends 15 minutes getting to appropiate vendor because you're running out of inventory space*
My point is that there are a significant amount of elements among traditional RPGs which are flat out annoying and detract from the gameplay experience, rather than add to it
