ME3 will be all about killing the squadmates that survived the suicide mission, they will all be indocrinated by reapers.

This will be a massive LOL when everybody thought saving everyone was the way to go... xD

Dear god… if that happened, I think I would shut my PC off and never play ME3 again. ;_;

Well, the truth is, in ME2 it's quite the opposite, you shouldn't try to kill everybody since all the team get cloned while you play the mission with joker, that's why all your team leave the normandy.

So even with dead squad mate, when you will import your games, every characters will be alive since only the clone go to the suicide mission

/LOL

The Collectors, to me, seemed to only have had One Ship, and One Base. It doesn't make sense to send the same ship over and over, unless that is the only one you got.

As I recall, EDI was comparing the ship's signature against "known Collector ship profiles". That kinda implies they have more than one ship.

Not sure how long they'd survive without the base though.

Unless you didn't do that completely optional mission.

It may be technically optional, but it doesn't feel optional.  The threat of that virus is pretty daunting.

Nah, EDI was comparing the signature to known Geth profiles.

OT: Early on, I'd like to see some massive cataclysm that takes the galaxy by storm and convinces the Council that the Reapers exist. I'd rather the story be about marshalling the forces of the galaxy than convincing them that they're under threat.

As for enemies:

- The Collectors. While we killed every Collector in the base (one way or another) and destroyed their ship, there's probably more of them out there beyond the Omega-4 Relay, and they might pop up again during ME3.

- I doubt we'll be seeing many mercenary bands. Shepard'll have bigger fish to fry.

- Husks will definitely be back. What better enemy to humanise and the threat that the Reapers pose?

- I'll wager that depending on Shepard's allegiances, either Cerberus or the Alliance (maybe even the Council races) will show up as major opposition (either on behalf of TIM, or as part of a Council or Human-led effort to 'put down' Shepard, who they'll believe has gone rogue). We'll either end up fighting Cerberus operatives, or Council/Alliance soldiers (and probably Spectres).

- Possibly the Geth and/or the Migrant Fleet, depending on how the issue of the Quarian/Geth conflict was handled in ME2, and whether Legion's loyalty mission was undertaken.

- Krogan clans. If you want to recruit the Krogan to your cause, then they'll have to be unified. Being Krogan, there'll be at least a few clans who won't want to submit peacefully. There may also be the option to crank out a massive Krogan army by countering the Genophage, but I doubt the Council would react well if Shepard were to do that.

- The Vorcha. We know that the Collectors (and thus, the Reapers) have utilised Vorcha in their plans before, and there may still be remnant forces working for them.

- There might (and probably will be) alien extremists who reject the notion that a 'mere Human' can command the other races. Asari, Turian, maybe even Salarian... the Batarians would probably have something to say about it...  ^_^

Anyway, I can't wait... ME3 had better be one hell of a finale!

I recall her saying "Collector", not "Geth".

Also, even if you don't do the mission, the default storyline could be that Legion/the Geth were able to complete the mission without you and made their own decision about the Heretics, OR that the Heretic numbers continued to dwindle to nothing. This would be BW's way of evening out the possiblities for Geth.

yes, there will be tons of husks. but it won't be just husk. more advanced with highly aggressive. plus, I bet that Bioware will invent new enemies along with those things we already saw in ME 2. protherian is one of bad monster. but I want Bioware to create more worst nightmare than protherian. scion, husk are easy to defeat. I want something very hard to defeat. at least you will die one or two times to kill that. by the way, I am not sure whether harbinger or collectors will be the same in ME 3. I want to see more advanced collectors. they probably would figure themselves out after being killed by explosion of the base.

by the way, no more geth please. I am tired of dealing with that ****. it's enough already.

I think that BioWare will release a ME2.5 for the recruiting of races then ME3 will focus on getting vital intelligence. Such as going to many planets that have had major extinction events occur and finding patterns etc. Or going to Outer-Rim colonies to warn them and get them out before they are destroyed.

it will be possible because the release of ME 3 will be almost the end of 2011 just like dragon age expansion pack (awakening). until then we will have a lot more DLC again or Bioware will stop working on Me 2 anymore after certain day. no more support or too enough support.

However I wouldn't mind having some kind of mission where I had to kill some former unloyal squadmate (very much like wrex in vermire)
