I just found the first ever forum post I made in this community after my first playthrough - and I am embarrassed!
This was the topic:
"Kolyat Krios whiny emo drell or possible hot younger romance option for ME3?"
What a complete dumb ass question buggirl. HAAA! Could never let Thane die now, I eat my Mae West feathered hat for the follow up comment I made about not caring if Thane lived or died. As for Kolyat (I think he's spoken for.)
Please share your embarrassing forum moments here (I don't want to be the only one to look like a dork.)
C'mon you know you have them.
Your first forum posts - are you embarrassed?

You don't want to know the depths of hell that I have scrapped
But my first posts on this forum were bug reporting on the Xbox 360 version of Dragon Age as well as complaints that OH NO "DRAGON AGE HAS RUINED MY GAMERCARDZ!!!!!!!"
Basically complaining that Bioware had not fixed the DLC glitched achievements for Dragon Age: Origins on the Xbox 360. Good times.
Not embarrassing, but damn, you don't want to know the depths of hell that I have scrapped

I still have embarrassing forum moments on a regular basis.

To quote big bad Mae: Those who are easily shocked should be shocked more often
@Cia, yes I do too, but I hope I get less dorky with experience.

I have no embarrassing posts here.
That I remember.
However, my first post made to any internet forum anywhere was full of references to things that had already been discussed ad nauseam and had an entire FAQ dedicated to it. FAQs: no one reads them.

Actually, my first posts were fine as they were just questions about technical support and answering questions like "what is your favorite *insert thing here*" It is my "I have decided to become active posts" that are the embarrassing ones. I accidentally started at least two flame wars I can think of, in general came off as pushy and aggressive, and used poorly chosen phrases that offended several people. So yea, my early forum days are pretty bad.

I do a pretty good job at having a forum fail every few posts. There are some good times to be had on the internet.

My first real post was strategy advice. How things have changed...

I always get embarrassed in some way or another on here.

lol.. I started off not posting anything, even though I wanted to, for fear of making myself seem like an idiot! I tend to stay on the off topic forum and play the 'games' now. I still try to stay clear of the game related threads as they usually have a lot more nonsense on them.

I lurked on these forums for about a month or so. I posted a lot when the Mass Effect forums moved here. I found the off topic forums and I basically stay here, I only post in the ME2/DA2 forums when something new has happened (I'm currently staying away from the Da2 forums because a troll is posting pictures of people defecating).

I lurked for the longest time before ever posting. So far, nothing embarrassing yet. However I do feel embarrassed for other members at times, usually when someone starts saying something that sounds like it came from a kindergartner.

This. It's almost like we're all guilty by association for posting on the same forum!

Back in July 2007... asked how to extract sounds from BG... for a custom soundset... not really embarrassed by it

My first thread promptly died out; it was discussing the implications of The Dark Ritual. Not embarrassed; it was a waste of time though. I'd reiterate those views in a more readable form in every other post concerning her; it marked my descent into rampant BioWare fanboyism... for a while.

I remember my first reply (on a different account), it lead to that the thread I was posting in, got locked. People didn't like that...

I use to say, "I'm Captain of this Ship!" a lot.
Now that I look back on it, I find it embarrassing...kind of.

My first post on the old boards: one kind of obnoxious.
My first non-list post on these boards: a different kind of obnoxious.
One of those is (I think) a much better representation of me than the other, of course.
