Hi,
so i installed Win7 last weekend, now i wanted to install DA again.
So im like "oh, i saved my old data! Ill just put in into the Bioware folder so i can use my old characters is i want to!"

Then im ingame, want to start a new character and it says "you have to be logged in or you cant use the following DLC content". But i AM logged in.
So i think "kay..remooove that folder again, start a clear, new DA.."
Well..now it doesnt show me ANY DLC at all (updated to V1.04).
Can anyone help me cuz this really annoys me. I hate it when im paying for some §$$%§ that wont work properly -.-

Oh right, and when i go to "Your registered game promotions", the only things i cant download (no download button) are the DLC contents for DA on the pc...like i care for the console DLC when i added the PC code ..... (i just shows "-----" instead of "download")

I've read some posts indicating there can be a fairly long delay before the DLC is authorized. What some people have reported success with is firing up the game, then going to the Downloadable Content tab and waiting until the BioWare points indicator stops spooling. Then check the download tab to see if your content is available.



If that doesn't work, you can try manually adding your DLC. You can grab the files Here. Links are at the bottom of the page. Some of the DLC also requires an 'offer file' (obtainable in the same place). Be sure to grab that as well, if required.

I didnt have any problems with it last time, and now i was psyched all day to play it again (dont know why all of a sudden hehe)..so sorry if my posts sound rude..

Here are the steps I always follow after the game launch and before clicking New, Resume or Load:

1. from main menu, check that you are logged in* then select Downloadable Content
2. if you see your DLCs on a green background and Points Balance updating, skip to step 7
3. wait for Point Balance to be updated
4. close panel
5. click again Downloadable Content
6. this time you should see your installed DLC on a green background and the Points Balance in update mode again
7. wait for Points Balance to be updated
8. close panel and load your saved game, resume a previous game or start a new one.
* You must be logged with the very same account you used to purchase your DLC(s) or to redeem your promo code(s)

You only have to proceed this way on your first load after each DA:O launch. Once this is done, you can directly load saved games during the same session.

If the above steps do not solve your issue, the next step is to try to launch the Dragon Age Updater service prior to launching the game. For this, exit the game if it is already running, Open Windows main menu, select Run..., type "services.msc" (without the quotes) and press Enter. In the Services window, look for Dragon Age: Origins - Updater service. Right-click on this service and select Start
in the contextual menu. Once the service has started, close the Services window, relaunch the game and repeat the above steps.

Wow, that one really helped (the links from DA Wiki were dead btw..the ones from the wiki to the DLC download that is)

But now it says (at least for now...refreshing running for like..10 minutes or so..hoping it will finish soon lol) that i have to buy the stone prisoner, and its not even showing me the dragonblood armor or the dagger for example...even tho i had all this already..well, maybe itll come when the refresh is finished, and i DONT have to buy all the stuff i already had again

Well, now its finished. Its not showing me any of the "free" content (like the armor or the dagger) and it wants me to BUY the stone prisoner although i already had it...
jeesuz -.- Has anyone gotten any ideas regarding that problem?
I also bought wardens keep 2 days ago (after i reinstalled the game) and now it wants me to buy i again as well...

edit: i wanted to buy return to ostagar and the golems of ansomething, but now im just afraid itll §$%&%/& up as well

Have you tried the idea described here: http://social.biowar...x/272991#573268 - the whole thread is about redownloading DLC when the updater doesn't recognize the entitlements and wants you to buy the DLCs again. Maybe it will help.

Just a quick question: All the DLCs are still in your user entitlements list on the BSN, yes?

Actually i also downloaded ALL the ME stuff when i played it..but now it shows me "Download", while it doesnt show it to me with the DA stuff on top (youll see in the picture). I played ME1, ME2 and DA on WinXP with all the stuff you see there being downloaded and used..

I have no idea why its screwing so hard with me right now

Well i did what "Jason Leong" wrote, i restarted DA afterwards. I was already logged in (even tho he wrote "log in"..so maybe something else is wrong and i shouldve been logged out?). Anywhoozle, i logged out, logged in...and well, the DLC list is compleeeetely empty now (all 3 tabs)..it only shows how much points i have...

To your first post: Yes, that's what I was asking about. The site has no links for downloading the DLCs for DA:O because the Updater is supposed to download and install them automatically (in ME2 there is no such service, so everything is downloaded manually). However, the Updater sometimes doesn't work properly.

You could also have a look at the Redeemed DLC Unofficial Troubleshooting and FAQ - it has some more solutions concerning DLC problems.

Additionally, you could use google, but limit the results to this site only (by using site:social.bioware.com before the string of other parameters) - it provides a far better search engine than the one available here. Maybe it is something connected with Windows7 (that's a guess on my part however)?

I hope one of the links will provide an answer for you.

To your second post: EA support solution to what to do when the tabs are blank.

Hopefully you'll see the second link I added -> you managed to post before I updated my post.
