Hi Folks

We are looking for ideas of what you want to see in an uber-collector's edition for Mass Effect 3. Now, by "uber" I don't mean the sort of usual collector's edition with maybe an art book, soundtrack, DLC items, etc. I am looking for ideas for a super-exclusive (and likely rather pricey) super edition item that would be for the hardest of hard core collectors.

Recently there was a Collector's Edition of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 that came with a set of working night vision goggles. That is the sort of idea I am looking for here. If you can suggest other "uber" editions from other game companys or what you would like to see, we are looking for ideas.

For example, my idea is to have a desktop replica of the Normandy done to scale that would come with a section of the roof you could lift off and see a light up galaxy map inside.

So let us know your ideas. Don't worry about things like "how would you ship them" or "the cost would be too high" or whatever. Throw out your ideas and we'll see what the Dev team does with them. :)

And/or a poster with Female and male shepard! (don't forget female!)

Agreed. I'd adore an alternate cover featuring Jane Shepard!

Your idea (model Normandy SR2) is great. A replica assault rifle with a wall mount would be awesome too.

A scale replica of the Normandy... Include working lights and I'll pre-order it the moment it becomes available. :D

But please with Mass Effect 3 dont do that whole Gamestop Exclusive preorder DLC again, those idiots dont ship outside the US, so those of us in places like the UK never get a chance to get that stuff.

In addition to your idea:

- Avenger Assault Rifle Replica

- N7 Armor Chest

- N7 Helmet

- A portable, electronic version of the entire Codex (in the shape of an iPad)

I support this idea of going back to traditional CE with covers for both male and fem characters and also have paragon and renegade as well.

Oh and speaking of which they should come with Tshirt this time around, its a shame that most CE nowadays cant even give you that. :pinched:

A fem shep cover would be amazing, also a model of Shep's pistol would be kinda cool, at least in my opinion.

The Normandy model is pretty much as uber as you can get, I think. Other than a geth's head for a lamp. :P

So Chris by "recently" you mean almost a year ago, right? I'm guessing you haven't seen the Limited Prestige Edition for CoD: Black Ops with a radio controlled car with sensors and a video camera on board...?

A desktop replica of the Normandy would be amazing - however mine would be more expansive than simply having a lit galaxy map - how about if the model was made in super high detail, so you could remove the whole of the top section and see the entire main deck, obviously put all of the key characters in there as miniatures so you'd have Shepard by the map/in the cockpit with Joker, Jacob in the armory, a few other key characters in the briefing room etc.

My own ideas:

1) Something really collectible, like a Shepard bust perhaps or a large scale detailed figurine, in the same sort of mould of the action figures but everything ramped up

2) A replica weapon, like an M8 Rifle - if it turned out like this I would be very happy (kudos to this guy btw, great work) http://farm5.static....964c47553_z.jpg

Please, no more "Fem Shep" cover ideas. We are looking for an item to include with an uber-collector's edition.

Thanks.

A small scale-model of one of the Dev team's favorite solar systems, like the rotating ones they have (or used to have; it's been a while) in grade school science classes would be cool. One the Dev team really made unique; with planets with features like Klendagon, or color palettes like that one system of hanar-owned planets. They could have little nameplates at their bases with the world descriptions from the game. It could even come with tiny Normandy and Mass Relay models with separate stands.I would definitely pay extra for something that nerdy and delightful.

Barring that, a model of the Citadel, a Reaper, the Normandy- any major vehicle or installation in the game would be really neat. Depending on the cover of the third game, you might be able to pull off a 3-d diorama of it, though that's risky since if the last two games are any indication then half the userbase will complain that it's not Mass-Effecty enough.

It's really obvious from playing the games, and especially DLC like Kasumi, that the team cares a lot about their fans and, more importantly, love the universe that they've created. Something that equally conveys that passion would be great no matter what it is.

Also, I want a pony.

I like the idea of a Normandy SR2 :-)

How about,

a full-sized replica of the Phalanx, including the laser-pointer ;-)

or an N7 helmet

a mask of an alien species, like running around like a Turian for men and Asari for women (here you could then put in a Jane Shepard edition)

or the means to put in your own voice as Shepard's. Like a software and the lines for it. I realise that that would be quite some work for the player, but it'd be "uber" :P

Well, that's what comes to mind right now. I may add more later :)

I don't think armor replicas or weapons replicas would have as broad appeal as a Normandy model.

It's not an item, but I was just thinking about how awesome the developer commentary was for Portal.

An N7 helmet (wearable though unlike Halo 3)

The Normandy (Like your idea)

An Omni-Tool (Dunno, think of something.. like either an Omni-Tool you wear on your arm with some features or like something like a USB you can plug into your Xbox/Computer/PS3 and get something kinda like Halo: Waypoint but for Mass Effect and different things inside ('cause Halo: Waypoint only has vids and updates))

Some Alliance dogtags (Dunno, but I'd wear it :P)

Just some ideas, some would be cool

Oooh, a model of the Citadel that opens and closes and lights up inside.

A model of Sovereign as well. That comes with a subwoofer and a button you press so he can give his epic speech.
