I'd be extremely happy with the following:

-Replica Normandy(don't care which). The size of an average keyboard would be awesome

-A full size Geth rifle would be totally sick. Especially if it was made to transform like it does in game

-1:1 scale Geth bust with poseable head and high powered light

-A massive lenticular poster of the Normandy flying through space.

-One person chosen at random to have dinner with Yvonne Strahovski? Worth a shot lol

  • N7 Onyx Helmet
  • SSV Normandy SR-1 scale model (do not want Cerberus markings)
  • Illustraded, hardcover Mass Effect Codex complete with starmap, planet descriptions and equipment spanning all three games.
  • Radio-controlled M35 Mako
  • Translucent omni-tool with internal lighting

I would vote for an included scale model.

Preferably SR-2 Normandy, but SR-1 Normandy or the Citadel Station would also be cool as well.

Large Citadel model.

A citadel-usb-fan. When off, it's closed, when on, it open's like the citadel^^

small side item- i prefer a Mass Relay/Geth USB-when plugged in, the relay light beam lights up blue/red.
if its cheaper/cost effective, add digital data, the dev making off or ME1-3 sountrack on it.

i don't like the ideas of plushies/figurines/apparel/hats/posters/lithos or anything that we can already buy. (yes plushies will be coming the bioware store) unless the figurines is a full MEsquad set. Lithos/posters would be prone to dmg. should be bought separately. (support squad litho)

-Liked normandy (ME3 edition?)model, more than weapon model. (bought the bayoneta CE with a gun, which.... doesn't hold sentimetal value for me...)
-like legion desk lamp eg.
Image IPB
except should be more of a model(not just his head).arms acting as bulldog clips. if you really want to be fancy, add an alarm-clock/clock on the base.
-Helment idea is okay. must be wearable else go with the normandy as a model.
-Like the datapad-codex idea but it should be functional, at least partially. (cost seem unrealistic. if cannot, make a iphone ap like the codex we can dl)

Last thing; the uber item should be something significant/plot related in ME3. since we don't know much about it, devs should chime in. eg. someone said earlier shepards helment gets damaged in me3, forcing him to take it off in the final battle.

It just struck me like lightning:

I suggest a small scale replica of Tali's Head (maybe two-thirds the size of an avarage human head) where you can take her Mask off.
But now comes the clue:
When you unmask her, you activate an embedded digital Photodisplay, like you can buy in almost every store, that displays whatever photographies you have saved on a SD-Card or USB-Stick.
So instead of revealing her face, you can reveal whatever you hold dearest (or save various funny Tali's Face pictures found in here) to you.

That is awesome, emotionally binding in more ways that just to the game and extremely creative!

Who's with me on that?
That is something I would certainly pay like 80-90 Euro for if I get the game and other mandatory boni too!

The idea I like best is the desktop Normandy replica. I think a removable section revealing a light up galaxy map inside sounds more interesting than it would look (I doubt I'd display it opened up). Giving it a display stand with an illuminated galaxy map backdrop instead, and maybe some lighting in the thrusters would probably be more visually impressive. Unless the SR-2 gets a makeover in ME3 and loses the Cerberus paint job, I'd rather have the SR-1, though.

The geth lamp idea would be a distant second choice (how distant would depend on how large a role the geth play in ME3).

I'd prefer either choice not be battery operated, or at least include an optional power cord.

A model of the Normandy or Sovereign or the Destiny Ascension.

A model of the one of the Heavy Pistols, capable of lighting up, producing sound effects, and shooting darts (which resemble thermal clips).

An omni-tool watch.

Shepard's dog tags.

A lengthy, fully-colored book filled with diagrams and schematics for every ship seen in the ME games.

One of those indoor astronomy globes that light up and show constellations and such on you walls and ceiling. This would would show the ME galaxy, with positions of mass relays and other important places, and while turned on it would play the galaxy map theme (include a volume control switch).

A near-lifesize dragon's tooth with extendable spike.

An articulated model of a geth colossus.

Just a few ideas...

I like your Normandy idea or else an actual N7 helmet.  A helmet that is life-size with intricate detail and high quality instead of just a small plasticy replica.

Oh, one other thing.  This isn't a super item probably for anybody but me.  A map.  Seriously.  I collect fantasy and sci-fi maps and atlases and lorebooks.  A map or an atlas, or just some book that contains massive amounts of ME mythos lore.  Its history.  Its geography.  All of that.  A guide to the world of ME.  I would KILL for something like that.  I just don't mean the codex in book form either.  Stuff that goes into detail about Palaven and Thessia and Sur'Kesh.  Maybe character biographies.  Data, tons of it.

I think Chris Priestly's idea of a scale model of the Normandy is the way to go, although I'd prefer one that doesn't have any removable panels or lights or whatnot. One important thing though it needs to have a high quality feel to it, something Captain Picard would have sitting on his desk.

The sort of Normandy Model, I'd like to see.
Make it a die cast model of the Normandy, (not a plastic one) with a transparent stand to make it look like its in flight (its fine if the stand is plastic so long as its sturdy) and have the stand rising out of a nice looking wood base with a brass plaque on the base with the ship's name on it.

Hell, the ship designs in ME2 are cool enough you guys could have a whole series of die cast ship models produced (SR-1, SR-2, Alliance Dreadnought, etc.). That's the sort of thing I'd buy even if it wasn't packed in with a Collector's Edition.  On a side note, try to keep the price on an Uber Collector's Edition south of $150, preferably south of $120. I'm an uber fan of Mass Effect at this point and I've happily thrown down the cash for the Collector's Edition of ME1 and ME2, so I'd definitely be in the market for an uber collector's edition; but the economy is **** right now so my inner cheap bastard might object if the price tag gets too high.

PS:  If you do make a Normandy model, give us an option to get one without Cerberus markings.  I'm sick of seeing that crap on my ship in game, I sure as hell don't want to see it on my desk.

I love the idea of a geth head lamp (specifically, Legion's head), but I think that could be made into a mass-produced item (unless it's porcelain).

The Normandy replica is awesome too.  There's a guy making it in the other thread, and it sounds awesome already.

I would recommend limited-edition, signed, giclee reproductions of some hand-painted art, or perhaps use one of the lithographs. Or, use an entirely new environment we haven't been introduced to that's being saved for ME3.  Signed by the artist.  Or, have giclee prints of the ME characters, signed by their voice actors.

Make it massive, maybe 20x36 or larger.

How about some wearable replica armor?  Or of Shepard wearing Blood Dragon Armor.

Life-sized figures of Tali, Garrus, other ME characters?

Let's be honest, here. You really only brought this up because all of you at Bioware were drooling over the M8 Avenger replica that guy made, and wanted an excuse to replicate it and mass produce it, so all of you could have one. XP

That said, I think this "uber" item should be something physical, none of that "exclusive in-game item" crap. I'm not paying potentially $40+ more for a couple lines of extra code for items I'll probably never even use. Also, I would hope the art book, soundtrack CDs, etcetera, the typical collector's edition type items, would be included with the standard collector's edition. This sounded like it was being proposed as something similar to what Bethesda did with Fallout 3 - the "Survival Edition" of the game was the Collector's Edition, plus a Pip-Boy 3000 replica that serves as a digital clock (though to get it working right, you need to mess with the wiring so it can run off an AC adapter [4.5V]; it eats through batteries insanely quickly otherwise). So... I'm figuring this "uber" collector's edition of ME3 would likely follow suit - include everything you'd find in the standard collector's edition, plus this one exclusive, unique item.

That said, my thoughts.

- As already stated, I'm obviously a fan of the M8 Avenger replica. It's not even my favorite rifle in-game, but it is distinctive, and if it's as high quality a replica, I'd love to have it on my wall. (I'd also love to see an M98 Widow, probably moreso, but I figure the M8 would have wider appeal.)

- A scale model Normandy would be fantastic. I'm not even too particular as to which one. SR1, SR2... SR3 if that trend continues... Any sort of model would be amazing. (And would likely go great on my desk with this: Firefly Serenity Ornament (Note: The coloring there looks off; it's more of a silver color in person.)) That said, though, I wouldn't mind the Normandy model or models being a bit larger, unless there'd be one for each ship.

- Any other models (Citadel, Sovereign, Harbinger, other Reapers, Omega, etc), though probably more difficult to get right, would certainly be worth consideration.

- A lot of the other ideas on here, admittedly, strike me as a bit ridiculous. Not because they're bad ideas, mind you, but because they're just not feasible, due to price - while I'd love a working omni-tool, or a visor with a working HUD, it would just cost too much to be practical. A visor like that, by itself, would probably cost a couple hundred; way too much to include here, unfortunately. (However, the codex idea that's been thrown around by a couple people, while perhaps a bit of a stretch, could be at least feasible. I could definitely see throwing in a flash drive with a program you could load on your computer that would work that way.) Also, while I wouldn't personally be too crazy about either of these being chosen as the unique "uber" item, I could definitely see these being made available for purchase seperately, these being the Geth Head Lamp and the Harbinger Alarm Clock. I'm not really even all that interested in either (though that alarm clock might help with my problem with oversleeping in the morning...Harbinger threatening to assume direct control would be a heck of a lot more intimidating than simple electronic beeping...), but either way, I'm sure there are people who would be interested, and it would just amuse me to no end to see them actually made. XDD

Some sort of system were you send bioware a link to YOUR shepard and they get your very own shepard on the front cover.

I reckon that'd be extremely exclusive and expensive

A backlit scaled model of the 'model wall' in Shep's cabin. Including all the ships in the trilogy. You could do the same with weapons or head models of the main characters. This could be packed into a carrying case type packaging with assembly required, and including the rest of the collectable content. Would look cool sitting on top of a computer desk, centered of course, with other collectables/items from the triology that would be available at the Biostore.

I'm imagining finding some stuff thrown out by a former C-Sec officer- old Alliance, C-sec and turian military training manuals including detailed histories of these organizations and recruiting posters, along with a dictionary phrasebook/alphabet for the major languages spoken (translators fail, right?). Maps of relevant areas of interest for these organizations. Timelines! Star maps, constellations recognized by various species and their history. Early accounts of discovery of the mass relays. Not a book on 'how it was made' but something immersive, artifacts from the ME universe that tell more about the universe.

The best things I've had from games in the past were soundtracks, artwork and information. For example, the Myst games provided both written and spoken language information, which players used to teach themselves to speak and write D'ni.

Probably off the beaten track. If none of that works, I'll take a life size cardboard figure of a female Commander Shepard, please- and a gigantic glow-in-the-dark galaxy map poster to display on my bedroom ceiling. Preferably all of the above.

May I get Yvonne Strahovski?

Well a N7 helmet or Normandy 2 model would do it too... but still, I rather take Yvonne...
