Here is my list of things I'd love to see. This won't include the artbook/soundtrack as that's generally something already contained in any special edition.  My bad for repeating anything.

1. Replica of the SR-1/SR-2 as Chris mentioned.
2. Replica of the Avenger with wall mount.
3. Long Service Medal with case (as shown in the Captains Cabin in ME2)
4. Customized xbox 360 & 360 controller (for PC, customized keyboard & mouse w/mousepad)
5. Free entrance to the red carpet premier of the Mass Effect movie (plus backstage passes to meet the actors)
6. Special Edition DVD showing how Mass Effect came to be all the way up to the final game. (60min if possible)
7.  Holographic picture of the entire crew (ME1, ME2 & ME3)...or a lithograph with all crew members signed by the actors/actresses themselves.
8.  Free coupon/code for a Mass Effect item at the Bioware store.
9.  Signed copy of the game by both Mark Meer & Jennifer Hale
10.  Some sort of commemorative item for completing the series ex; a book detailing Shepards entire military career with details on missions, crew, systems explored, details of what happened once the game is over sort of deal.

I believe that's it until I can think of anything else.

there's collecting, then there is over doing it. This falls under the latter section.

Obviously I wasn't stating i wanted everything to be in it as this was simply a list of different things that would work.

I stopped at the Geth Head Desk lamp on the first page, it would be both epic and functional.

Some sort of Mass Relay clock, where the circular platforms would go through a revolution every hour, would be interesting.

A "Shepard's Heroes" series of statue(ttes?), possibly pewter or something pretty durable. Have some of the more identifiable characters of the franchise all with Shepard in some type of "combat" poses.

Ah okay. Sorry man, didnt read it, my fault. Just read the list, but I can tell you there are things that wont happen bar none, I crossed them out.

One thing though, the signing stuff, I crossed out not because it couldn't happen, but because it just wouldnt feel the same as they would just be printed on signatures....I wouldnt like that.

Pretty good suggestions Image IPB (but include the soundtrack in proper music cd format (not the mp3 one that was included in DAO Image IPB)(I added a few notes) number 5 will be a problematic for most people though (unless they did a worldwide golden ticket type thing) (edit: saw the notes in the posts below).

No worries, just got defensive about it, my bad!!  I didn't think about the printed signatures, that would suck as it would have less meaning to it.  I just assumed if they really want this to be some beyond epic special edition than there's going to be a very limited supply...at least I would think so?

Well I think, even if this thing was so overly over priced, they still couldnt pay the actors enough to sign millions of copies. Because limited edition go out everywhere, and even though limited, still add up. I hope they do some epic something (cough, my post, top of page, cough)

The statue would light up inn sequences. Shepard's N7 would light up, along with the lights on his Gun, then the geth ship and the geth's eyes would light up, saren's arm with a biotic charge around it, would light up also, along with Sovereign's lights around his body. (pretty much everything on the right side) Next, the Omega 4 relay would light up, then the eyes of the collectors and everything else on the left side. Lastly, the ship's thrusters would light up along with the Paragon/Renegade symbol and then the the whole galaxy lighting up, and to finish, everything lights up including the Mass Effect title. the sequence would finish and restart, and of course, you could include a on off button.

this, in its self would commemorate Shepard's battle in a nutshell, depending on what happened in ME3, more could be added.

Suggestion 1.) A real N7 helmet that comes with a detachable breather mask.

and as a plus make it certified for use on motorcycles :3 I'd love to cruise down the highway in my N7 helmet :D

Suggestion 2.) Basically what you said, miniature scale model of whatever Normandy it is we'll be flying around in in ME3.

Suggestion 3.) Life sized replica M-8 Avenger Assault Rifle that collapses into it's compact form like in the game.

Is a copy of the Mass Effect movie script too much to ask?

The idea of the Normandy that opens up and the galaxy map is pretty cool. Maybe part of the ship could be a USB that comes pre-loaded with a teaser trailer for the next Mass Effect game... there will be another Mass Effect game of course?

Also, someone had an idea about a Sovereign model that runs through all of Sovereign's speech. That would be awesome, because Sovereign's whole "Your words are as empty as your future..." bit is truely bada**. Therefore I second (3rd, 4th... however many) this idea.

Two discs, 1 with all the ME1 dlc and 1 with all the ME2 dlc, made for the same system that we buy ME3 for.

In-game bonuses, like the Spectre grade weapons from ME1, some awesome looking armor, stuff like that.

I've seen someone say that they would like that Shepard VI. Having it in game in Shepard's private quarters on the Normady would be awesome. It could try to delete EDI on the way to a real error.

N7 dog tags for a key chain, or to acctually wear if you're feeling particularly nerdy that day.

Then of course, the art book, the sound track, the game (lol if this is forgotten), a poster, all that usually collectors' stuff.

I already own an M8, but you need a license to own one of these bad boys. Plus this model is discontinued. They actually look very similar, which leads me to believe the idea for the M8 Avenger may have come from the XM8 rifles.

It is a shame that only 4 or so people mentioned a replica of the Mass Relays because they ARE the Mass Effect Universe.

Bioware needs to do something that is different from their exclusive game counter-parts (on the 360 side).  Do not do a Helmet because Halo 3 Ultimate Edition did that.  Do not do a life-sized assault rifle because Gears of War 2 did that.

I feel, as far as an 'uber' item goes, a replica of the Mass Relays is the best definition of what Mass Effect is.

Another option would be a replica of Protheans like the statues on Ilos.

Wow, what to ask for?

1. Geth head as a lamp - NOTE: I would want this to be a reasonably sized lamp (not one of those tiny ones that get lost in a room) and I'd also want it to have some battle damage on it, like I took it as a trophy after finishing it off. It would have to light up properly and be made of a material to look believable.

2. Normandy SR1, Citadel, and Mass Relay models - highly detailed, high quality (no plastics please), colored with moving parts and with lights. If you make more than one model, put all the models in each one (do not make it chance that you get the one you really wanted or that you have to choose between two you really want).

3. The Codex idea people have been throwing around - I LOVE IT! If you guys made a life-size working replica...I'd probably break my bank account to get my hands on one!

4. More on the way....

Another note: While I like the idea of some additional artwork beyond an artbook (litho, poster, etc), from experience I know these typically become damaged in shipping or worse...by the store personnel who pull them out of the box and dump them on the floor to be trodden upon throughout the day as if fans want damaged goods with shoeprints all over it (yes, it has happened before). I would be very upset if I recieved damaged goods with my uber edition.

Also, I agree with the other poster that said the uber item should be something that connects all three games. Without the connection, it lacks the total universe feel.

Statues have already been mentioned, but if we're going into wishful-thinking-and-high-price land, how about a voucher for a customizable statue, which would allow you to input your character creation code. A statue would then be made which actually resembles your Shepard.

Would be kind of "eh" for default Shep users, but pretty awesome for everyone else.

Thats a good point about the relays.
I just hope that if they do the relays as the 'uber' item it is available for both the pc and the 360 (& ps3 if ready at that point in time).

Chiming in with my thoughts on this proposed edition, here are a couple of ideas I think would be very interesting to see:

1) Anyone who pre-ordered the Uncharted 2 "Limited Folio Edition" artbook received a DVD that featured developer playthroughs of three concept levels from the game. It would be interesting (and probably cost-effective to boot) to have a developer walkthrough of several levels from the beta versions of all three ME games, along with commentary detailing the genesis of the games from their initial concepts to the final products. After all, it can't be that hard to sit the designers down for a couple hours and have them wax poetic about the development process, is it? Alternatively, a DVD documentary on the making of and cultural/commercial impact of the trilogy would be very cool.

2) A varren plushie. You know you want one.

3) A model of the Normandy/Citadel/EDI - in lucite.

4) A "Cerberus" crew patch.

5) A case that is a replica of either Shepard's armor locker or a standard item crate.
