I would mind seeing the universe's deadliest assult rifle Jessie as an item, that old **** has killed more men than the people who died in the Skyllian Blitz.

A Priestly action figure.

And a video documentary. Pretty much a must IMO.

The Normandy model sounds amazing.

An N7 Helmet would also be awesome.

Also, a few smaller exclusive things would be really good too - like a mousepad or dog tags etc. Not just the one big thing. I would pay mega bucks for something this awesome.

An alternate game copy with a running developer commentary (similar to the dev com option in Portal) would be really cool. Though alternate pressings might be sketchy...

As for physical goods...

A predator heavy pistol, or perhaps some of the other ones (I preferred some of the ME1 models). But make it functional! By that I don't mean make it so it can kill people, but make it so it has the collapsing action that ME weapons tend to have. So, a button press expands the gun... AND changes the color. As I recall the glowing vents on guns can change color when you arm the weapon. I'd also recommend making it from something that's pretty durable, not some cheap plastic thing that'd break after you expanded/collapsed the barrel several times. I don't know if metal is "space-tech" enough, but there's bound to be some option that would work. Perhaps a hum when you arm/expand the weapon, A ME sound effect on trigger pull? Realistic weathering... and appropriate manufacturer stamps of course.

A pistol like that makes more sense to me than a rifle, as the pistol is used by more classes, and is typically the go-to "conversation" stopper sort of weapon.

The pistol also would just look cool, I find I prefer that option to the helmet or normandy.

The normandy seems more like Joker's thing, he "controls" it, sort of.  Shepard is the commander, but with the exception of the end of ME2 - none of Shepard's ass-kicking or decisions happen with/because of the Normandy, when it does - it's Joker that's doing the "cool" stuff.  The ship looks cool, for sure, but it doesn't seem that representative of Shepard.

The N7 helmet is a cool idea, but I have two problems with it.  Guns are one-size fits all.  Night Vision goggles could have an adjustable strap.  Everyone's head is not the same size though, and you can't really get around that with a helmet.  An unwearable one isn't so cool either.  And let's face it, if you put time into making a face, or you care about the characters, you probably spent more time looking at skin than any N7 helmet.  It ends up poorly representing Shepard for most players (and he doesn't wear it on any game covers either.

edit: It should go without saying that the gun would probably need a stand, and the glowing is important, as a gun rigged to glow blue unlikely to be mistaken for "real" by anyone.

As a side note, ample consideration needs to be given to in-game collector's/super-collector's edition items.  While I don't regret getting the collector's edition, I felt like the items wound up being a booby-prize of sorts since you couldn't toggle the helmets, Shepard would just look like a bug in every scene of the game. The rifle wasn't "bad", but it's advantage was extremely situational.  I found myself being jealous of people that got the incisor (which I know everyone can get now...) because while it was still situational, it was considerably more useful.

It sounds like the general consensus so far is the Normandy model/N7 helmet ideas are out in front, which is great because I would love either of these in content terms but the Normandy model would be the ultimate addition for me.
My ideal Mass Effect 3 "Uber" Collectors Edition contents (maybe drop the "uber" tag - something like prestige - Spectre Edition? :)):

----General Content----
 - Mass Effect 3 (at least two, maybe even three discs please Bioware )
 - Steelbook case
 - Making of DVD
 - Original Soundtrack CD
 - Art Book (at least 100 pages, a la Mafia II Collectors Edition)
 - Hard Cover Mass Effect Codex or Comic Book collection

----Extra Content----

 - Scale model Normandy SR2
 - N7/Cerberus shirt (Shepard's casual wear on the Normandy)
 - Scale model of Shepard's original N7 helmet w/ stand
 - Commander Shepard dog tags
 - Cerberus network card w/ exclusive DLC (exclusive armour finish(es) for Shepard & crew etc)
 - Future exclusive DLC for collector's edition owners.

N7 helmet like the one you recover from normandys crash site, or a N7 helmet with a usb connection that respond to the game, so whether your paragon or renegade the color of the helmets glass slightly change to blue if your paragon or red if your renegade.

A model of a reaper would also be really cool, i also liked Chris normandy idea.

Any assault riffel from ME2 or the ME3, fully scaled, and able to shoot some sort of bullet looking piece og rubber. THAT would be epic!

And if not a weapon, then I would definitely want a big Normandy SR2 on my desktop. That would be sweet!

And if not that, then Shepard´s helmet! And it should be wearable, unlike the Mater Chief helmet! :P

And even if its none of the above, you´re still the best game makers of all time!! :lol:

THANK YOU BIOWARE! :D

From the ideas coming out and judging from the most likely ones, my wallet is already screaming in pain. That being said, I cannot wait for ME3 and I'm willing to spend up to 500 AUD on a super hardcore collector's edition. Let's just hope that we Aussies get the hardcore copy and the pre-order comes while I still have a job.

I believe the non-cheap nor 1000$ costing normandy replica would be awesome. Uber collector edition is cool indeed but still. I have the ''real'' NVG from the prestige edition of MW2 and it's not like I could go ninja on the rest of the city with em. It's not the real bad stuff. It works to a certain limit. My point is if you guys want to give us an uber collector edition. It doesn't need to be the real-life-size-orignal shepard. Something outstanding yeah but good quality's the thing. I'd go with a good sized Normandy replica. Tho I loved the SR1 more than the SR2. Just my point.

Of course, it would come with some other physical gears like dog tags or Illusive man's cigar or any cool items that was mentioned above.

The ME2 CE was pretty good. btw, but if I wanted an super uber CE, this is what I'd like to see.

Base Game

All ME2 Gap DLC beginning w/ LotSB.

A two hour documentary on the ME trilogy and possibly a history of BioWare.

A separate "Making of" documentary that really gets into the ins and outs of how the game is made.

Separate CD of the soundtrack or at least a download code for the soundtrack.

Statue or figure of Commander Shepard. (Regular default Shep and another super, exclusive, unbelievably rare, uber uber, special collector's edition femShep version)

ME1 SPECTRE issue handgun replica.

ME2 Mordin Solus innerspecies relationship guide.

ME3 Model of the Normandy

Working datapad w/ all the books and the comics.

Dossiers on all major characters throughout the game including Shepard.

Art book.

exclusive armor/weapons.

DLC card (ala Cerberus Network)

I think that's it.

How about a M-8 Avenger/Lancer assault rifle replica. Maybe an airsoft version or one that unfolds and lights up. Or a customizable Commander Sheppard figure based on the players in game appearance and favorite gear.

Something that plays a voice clip from Shepard would be amusing. "I'm commander Shepard, and this is my favorite edition of the game!" or "..., and this is my number one fan." something funny. With a switch or something to switch from Jennifer Hale to the male actor.
